  • why would anyone want to imageine theres a God I never have, so how can i say there is a God? I was a criminal at one time in my life for many years and couldnt stay out of jail, I was facing many years in prison, so I said to GOD if you let me go, I will go to church, and seek you two days later i was let out without a trial!!! coincidence I THINK NOT its been five years and i still go to church, am i perfect NO do I believe in God yes can I prove it NO do you exist YES

  • @Glory2God143 How many people do you think make the same pact with 'god' in similar circumstances and do not have their prayer answered? Would it be safe to say millions? It's just probability that at some point someone's prayer 'will be answered'. But it's just out of coincidence and the laws of probability and not because of any sort of divine intervention.

  • @Glory2God143 Whats your point??

  • whats up Katalyzt yea i been shot at (my car wasnt hit) ive had guns pointed at me at point blank range (i dukked) I could go on and on the only diffrence beween us is I claim it was God and you dont, we are still both human and free to posess own own conclusions, I could never make you belive theres a God and you cant make me believe theres not

  • C S Lewis was right when he wrote that "materialism is a philosophy for boys". Materialism cannot explain reason itself. It's a bit like saying that the Gulf Stream produces maps of the Gulf Stream. It's absurd. Of course, thought and reason operates through the vehicle of the material brain, but to suggest that thought itself derives from the material brain is a circular argument. It's assuming materialism in order to prove it. Bad logic, I'm afraid.

  • Atheists want to save humanity. But the Theists won't let go of their Archaic, Dark Age beliefs. Religion is a blanket of stupidity to keep the sheeple from seeing the truth. The truth is....RELIGION IS FAKE!

  • I always found faith to make me feel better and wiser. I don't go out and hurt people because my religion says so because it doesn't it was people that decided to start hurting others, its people who don't fix things becasue they are greedy and evil or lazy, and do athiests go to other countries to give medicine and food to people teach them to read and build schools because they like helping people? All I see is negativity coming from you becasue you judge by what you see not what you feel.

  • Hello Aurumk1,

Yes, atheists do go to different countries giving people in need medicine, education and food. The only difference is that we do not hold their sandwich ransom for the imaginary jesus character. ;O)

    P.S.

If you care about what is actually true then read up on these two secular(non-theistic) charitable organizations:

    Doctors without Borders

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which is the largest charitable organization in the world.

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt How do you know what is true you can't explain how the universe works to me, so we argue a continuous pointless debate, you seperate us from yourselves even though we do a damned lot for people over something stupid being spiritual isn't wrong and if you understood yourself properly as religion does teach, why fight against us when we could work together it just dosn't make sense and you treat us like we are evil but we all want the same thing, a peaceful world so think about

  • Hello Aurumk1,

That is an easy question to answer. I know what is true the same way any other rational person knows. You see, truth is always verifiable. ;O) That is how we discern what is true from what is false; by independent verification of empirical evidence. Something you cannot do with imaginary god characters. ;O) And contrary to what you are implying; atheists and theists do work together all the time for various causes. You only have to look. :O)

    Katalyzt

  • P.S.

And contrary to what you said/implied earlier, there is no tangible good or moral action that christianity or a person of any "faith"/spiritual belief does that cannot be done purely through secular means, or by a non-believer. Also, I was merely pointing out to you that when we atheist do charity, it is done for purely altruistic reasons, and again we do not hold their sandwich ransom for jesus or to promote some other imaginations. Atheists just help. Think about it.

    Katalyzt

  • P.P.S.

As far as irrational beliefs are concerned. A persons beliefs ultimately inform their actions, and a belief in an imaginary being has caused(in whole or in part): The Inquisitions, The Crusades, Slavery as it relates to belief in gods, Witch-hunts(Europe, and United States) past and present, The Holocaust, The Jonestown Massacre, Abortion clinic bombings/stabbings/killings(victims: doctors, receptionists, police), and has even had people crashing planes into buildings.

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt Really. What about gang beliefs abot the beliefs that governments have had are they judged for killing far more people than we ever had? No they aren't. And the crusades happened 900 years ago because the emperor of constantine asked for help against a muslim invasion of europe from the church. Witch hunts? There are people who can manipulate the universe and damage it. The holocaust? The spear of destiny, illiminati did that one and ww1. what about enrgy as concus

  • Hello Aurumk1,

Collectively no one/group/government has killed as much people as theists have(and continue to do). It is a demonstrable fact which you can look up yourself. :O/ Wow, are you actually trying to justify the deaths of millions of people based on your delusional beliefs just because some of it happened in the passed? :O/ Thanks for proving the point I was making.

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt Ah so the beliefs in the bible are wrong all it says is don't kill its a code of morals christians and other believers donate more to charity than any other group I looked it up. If its delusional not to steal, kill, commit acts of extreme intolerance which is what you are doing, trying to justify whats in peoples minds when you don't know your own mind, it shouldn't bother you so much that I have a code of morals that I do follow and like a man who only helped people.

  • Hello Aurumk1,

I want to point out that you brought up the bible(not I). First, the bible commands people to kill in more places/pages than where it says not to. You may not know this, but there are actually 613 laws/commandments, not just ten. Second, Owning other people as property was never moral, Forcing a rape victim to marry their rapist is not moral, Commanding people to kill someone because he was picking up sticks is not moral, Allowing human sacrifice is not moral,

    Katalyzt

  • (Cont.)

killing all the innocent first born in Egypt is not moral, Getting mad at people then leaving, and constructing a weapon, then coming back to violently use that weapon is not moral. Can you show me people who do these things because the bible says so? I contend that the bible is not a source of moral codes. The very nature of most theistic belief system is bigotry and intolerance of people who do not think, or do like them(hence all the atrocities I have listed).

    Katalyzt

  • Finally, I need to reiterate my point. Contrary to what you originally said/implied, all types of people(atheists and theists alike) give to charities. The difference is; is that we atheists do it for altruistic reasons, whereas theists (directly or indirectly) do it to promote their religion by handing out their “holy” books, or by holding the person in need food ransom until after the theist gives some type of sermon of why they should share their delusion. Understand?

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt Actually god kept pulling back on the 12 plagues of egypt everytime the pharoh asked god to stop he did and god only wanted to free the slaves but human bigotry and pride caused that he could have just let them go. It would suck if there were still slaves now people selling their daughters into prostitution, I agree christians don't do nearly enough though and that does annoy me about christians. I personally have never held someones sandwich hostage though, lol.

  • Hello Aurumk1,

Why do atheists know more about the contents in "holy" books than theists do? It was 10 plagues, and not 12 like you mentioned. Also, every time the Pharaoh was about to let the Israelites go the fictional god character violated the Pharaoh's free will, and "hardened his heart" at least three separate times. In fact, the god character told Moses that it would violate the Pharaoh's free will("harden his heart") even before it began any of its plagues(Ex. 7:1-3).

    Katalyzt

  • (Cont.)

Finally, after the Israelites were freed by the Pharaoh. They left, and were gone for at least three days. But the evil god character violated the Pharaoh's free will by hardened his heart for the forth time. And if killing all the innocent first born Egyptians was not enough for this monster, it then drowned 600 more Egyptians. Either way, it sounds as if you are actually trying to defend the immoral acts of the fictional god character written about in the bible. :O/

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt No matter what I say, you will always find a way to make it look evil in reality, all you are doing is trying to get a rise out of me, you think by continually calling god evil I am going to just roll over and give up my faith? No. I won't. Science will always try to debunk the works of god, I mean you can't even find respect in that tiny heart of yours and how many slaves would have to die? 100,000? You don't even know yourself talk to me again when you do.

  • Hello Aurumk1,

A rise? No, I have been simple pointing out the truth to you. Everything, I have said about charities, the bible, and the atrocities committed by theists is verifiable by anyone(including you). I appropriately called the imaginary god character written about in the bible evil as book details its every immoral action. And as far as your “faith” is concerned: I do not care what delusional beliefs you hold, just as long as you do not try to imposed them on others.

    Katalyzt

  • (Cont.)

From Zeus and his lightening bolts, to Thor and his thunder, to jehovah and its Adam, Eve and jesus story; science and the scientific method has inadvertently debunked every imaginary god man has invented. And if you are talking about the "slaves" in the exodus story, then I am happy to tell you that anthropology, and archaeology(science) has proved that story to be false as well. There was no mass exodus of Israelite slaves from Egypt. ;O)

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt forgive me for budding in but I would like to share my expierience with this invisible God guy everyone talks about, one night in 2002 my girlfriend at the time called me to pick her up from work, I had taken some advil jjust before she called and had fallen asleep it was 9pm at night, I got up and got into a head on collusion because I fell asleep at the wheel, when i opened my eyes my car had just hit the other car head on and bounced back like in slow motion...

  • @Katalyzt I crwled out of my cars window and couldnt breath, I went to the other driver to see if he was dead, he was ok, some guy walked up and said you needa hospital, i blanked out, to make a long story short, i didnt have one scratch or bruise, all i remember is, when I left my house to pick up my girl I SAID TO GOD "TAKE CARE OF ME" I SHOULD BE DEAD MY FRIEND IF THERE IS A GOD, HE SAVED ME THAT NIGHT some may say His name is JESUS ,,I cant see my brain but i do have one

  • Hello glory2god143,

Thanks for story... Many people have accidents and walked away from them. Take me for example: I have been in multiple motorcycle accidents(without the real protection of a steel frame, seat belts, or airbags like cars have). One of which I low-sided my bike(the motorcycle was on-top of me) while I and my bike slid 20 feet into a curb. After I managed to get my left leg from under the bike I stood up, and look down at my clothing. They were shredded.

    Katalyzt

  • Prt2:

And the bike was nearly totaled. The farring, the clutch, and the handlebar that it was attached to was destroyed. The gear shift was gone as well. Pretty much the whole left side of the bike was destroyed including parts of the engine. Something even shot out through the metal crank case like a bullet, while I was sliding under the bike. I looked down passed the shredded material of my pants to see the my skin was untouched. :O)

    Katalyzt

  • Prt3:

And in no instance did any imaginary characters like leprechauns, gods, fairies, jesus, or Spiderman save me. Finally, unlike the imaginary/fictional characters I just listed above, your brain can be proven to exists in a number of ways. I.E.: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and a Electroencephalography(EEG), and also Neurosurgery(open brain surgery). As everything that is real manifests in reality, and can be consistently measured/verified. Think about it. ;O)

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt Im glad that we can collaborate without judgement, I can only tell you what I have expierienced, one day a relative came over to visit me, I was gettin ready to go to a party out of town to someones house that met once, my cousin told me out of nowhere that I should stay home that night, I laught at him and went anyway, i went to the party with a few friends, and we got jumped by gangsters and mangaged to escape before they pulled thier guns. I believe God warned me not to go

  • Hello glory2god143,

And I have been in a situation where I was threaten by a drawn gun, yet here I am talking to you without the help and/or interference of an imaginary god character. ;O)

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt Proving your point? you haven't proved anything but the fact that you can't handle that I am bringing reasonable information and scientifically viable proof to the table so you are attacking me personally because you have no argument? What about frequencies? They learned that the brain puts off radio like waves in the 50's and have been studying pyschic phenomenon for years and I still haven't heard a reasonable explantion. justify? Don't make me laugh you have nothing

  • Hello Aurumk1,

Where in any of my posts have I attacked you? And where in this thread have you offered any "reasonable information and scientifically viable proof" of anything? It is quite the opposite, as everything I have said is historical fact, and verifiable by anyone(including you). ;O) Ah, you seem to be one of those conspiracy theorist as well. That is another consequence of having irrational beliefs, and no apparent critical thinking skills. :O/

    Katalyzt

  • (Cont.)

That way of thinking, gives a person the disposition of believing anything without empirical evidence. Example: Where are the peer reviewed scientific papers of this “radio like brain waves” study? Who are the scientist involved? What did they name these “radio like brain waves”? You see, unlike you, anyone can actually verify everything that I have told you without speculation, suppositions or innuendos. I offer demonstrable facts, and you do not. Think about it ;O)

    Katalyzt

  • @Katalyzt This conversation is pointless if I proved god existed would you believe, no you wouldn't? You keep calling me delusional thats why its an attack and how come you never show your face, your voice is creepy I would almost have to say that you are evil. We can whine all day about our beliefs but its this guy who just fixed the economy and has invented more stuff than einstein did, all thanks goes to god because there is no way in hell I could have thought this up myself.

  • Hello Aurumk1,

That is the response that I often get from theists when I show them how irrational their beliefs are. ;O) If you proved which of the 4600+ gods exist? You see, you have not actually specified one. It is not an attack; it is merely an observation based on what you have stated. ;O) It would be rational to thank the real people like financial experts, and Einstein, as they actually exist(ed), unlike your imaginary god character. Think about it Aurumk1. ;O)

  • I perceive God but am unable to directly communicate my experience to others. I also feel no need to convince anyone of the non-physical spirit.

I mean really, knowledge of God enriches my life so who cares if atheists reject it?

  • @rfrantzt

Great philosophy, but why limit it only to God? Believe yourself into a new car and world peace, too.

Not like it matters whether or not your belief is true or has any basis in reality, as long as it makes you feel good, right?

  • @AntitheistPOV *yawn*... Atheists are obsessed with people's beliefs. Its hilarious. The atheists blames all the worlds problems on the fact that we are not all atheists, lol.

  • @rfrantzt

I am concerned with your beliefs. We have to share a world together and your beliefs effect me. Many of the worlds social and civil issues are caused by divisive irrationalities like nationalism and religion.

So, yes, both points are correct. I'm not sure if you're agreeing with me or arguing with me?

  • This woman does not understand the limits of language. Atheist arguments are always purely semantic.

  • If there is no Gog then why are you so upset? why are you trying so hard to proof? and why you made this channel so you can use all yout time to proof something you dont even know? proof me there is no God then right lol

  • @TLSlayer1 wait, when did i start talking to you, i thought i was talking to bdwilson1000, get out of this conversation

  • @TLSlayer1 ok listen dummy, the big bang cant create something intelligent as us, i mean seriously, what is wrong with people these days!!! geez, even if the big bang did happen, god created it, it didnt just happen out of nowhere, god created the universe, he created everything, he created you and me! people are so blind and stupid these days and dont believe it, its sad.... :( dang, if only you would just open your eyes...!

  • Christianity: The belief in a Jewish Zombie who was his own father and that you must telepathically pledge your alleigence to him and symbolically eat him so he can cleanse you of some evil placed in you by some naked lady who was conivinced by a talking snake to eat the fruit of a magic tree.

    Seems legit.

  • This woman is saying that she is asking to give a description of God. Seriously, if you already know that you talk to believers than you should already know the answer. If God is sooo big and He created this earth. How could we even describe Him? So it's pretty obviously that we as human can't give a picture of God. thats it.

  • @SeriousBlack2

It sounds like you are in desperate need of a good science education. I can recommend a few good books if you are genuinely interested in learning how the universe works.

  • @bdwilson1000 Ok, lets make a deal, you read the bible, and i will read some books about the universe or whatever, do we have a deal? And please, stop treating me like i'm stupid and worthless just becuase i am a christan >:l maybe i should start treating you like crap cause your an atheist :/

  • @SeriousBlack2

I've read the bible. It's a quite horrible book actually, and it's the primary reason why I'm an atheist.

  • Comment removed

  • @bdwilson1000 well, i've read some science books, they are quite horrilble actually, and its the primary reason why i'm a christan :D

  • @SeriousBlack2 because your too stupid to understand them or because they went about trying to disprove your "faith" with reason and logic...?

  • Comment removed

  • What's with all the Mormon promoted videos on all the atheist ones????

  • EXACTLY!! Tracie is exacly correct!

  • Don't worry, Tracie. The people saying they believe these things don't know what they are talking about either. In fact, some of them claim that not knowing is exactly what makes them know...somehow.

  • What is the difference between a non-existen female and a non-existent male? Look between their non-existent legs, silly.

  • @shlarg Yeah, and if you get a non-existent slap it's probably the former.

  • evidence theists.. still waiting for you to back up your claims-- many of you say you KNOW.. so where is allah? where is yahweh? where can we find all these gods?

  • We're talking beliefs in god, Tracie. Apparently it must be true because the bible says so.

  • @AtheistEutopia Bahaha, very beautifully coted humor my good sir -- brilliant!

To all you Theists out there, I ask you this; I can tell you the wall is red, and you can agree. But in the end, how do you know that we see the same color?

  • @Nemesis0300 We don't, but your point does not make the existence of an invisible sky fairy any more likely.

  • @AtheistEutopia Ughh. I'm an Atheist. That was directed to Theists.

Theists are anyone who believes in God.

  • @Nemesis0300 Something odd's going on. That comment wasn't directed at you.

  • @AtheistEutopia Yes, it was. It's okay, you made a mistake.
