  • kyo is very nice, just because he writes songs for himself and not in any way for the fans doesn't make him mean, actully it makes him the most honest song writer EVER. theres so many song writers who write about fake emotions all the time, just so they can please fans [MCR for example] bands like that are bullshit and should be raped - zakuro is an AWESOME SONG!

  • i agree with you. kyo is a really nice person. i've had the honor of shaking his hand at the FVT last summer. i like his lyrics, they're honest and it is how kyo feels. there are bands that have songs devoted to love and basically what people want to hear. it's rare to find artists that have such honest lyrics and having the listeners understand how they feel.

  • Too bad that Manson is better then these clowns will ever be. This is shock jrock for the sake of shock. Manson actually has intelligent meaning in his music. Plus the music and voice is just Better. I'll probably catch flak for this.  Check out the Japanese Thrash Band King's Evil for better japanese music.

    if you think dir en grey < manson then you are entitled to your opinion and that's ok. but posting a rude comment here is not called for. if you ever read kyo's lyrics or watched him break down crying live, then you have the right to say their music has nothing behind it but shock value.

  • Lyrics: The one's that I HAVE read serve no purpose. The ones in this video for example, "Sour Marinee prepared with blood" are only to shock. What's the point? Kyo's an attention whore. Manson on the other hand, has meaning and message behind each lyric. For great examples, read his book. Did Dir En Grey ever attempt a concept album? Manson did 3!

    Crying: ACTING CLASSES! Korn used to do that too! My acting friends do it all the time. Once you learn how to do it, its easy.

  • Well, maybe you haven't read much of Kyo's lyrics? Kodou, The Final and Garden are examples of songs wich have very great lyrics. and for the "acting classes" theory, I don't belive that... The Final is a really beautiful song about commiting suicide, and there's a live clip were you really can notice that something happens to Kyo when he sings the lyrics... kinda scary actually

    and Kyo just said he PERSONALY didn't like manson's music, what's wrong with saying what you think?

  • hmm... you make a good point in that he stated what he thinks. I thought it was interesting that he brought them up when Manson actually has reason to do the shit that he does. Unfortuantly, youtube doesn't allow very long responses. This is something I could rant about. One of the many problems that I have with Kyo, is that his voice is very unintimidating. Then again, I can't recall 1 song in Japanese that I've liked. Even that Japanese Thrash band King's Evil sings in English.

  • You all fail for arguing about it. Its a freakin 3 minute short about the band, and no one cares that you'd rather hear their voices. Dir en grey isnt even good live anymore, maybe back 5+ years ago. (I will still see their live to support Jrock in the USA) And does someone's sexual preference even matter when it comes to music? No. So STFU and GTFO.

  • It's from a BBC documentary named Japanorama. It's 6 episodes long all with different topics. (Science Fiction, Entertainment, Sex, Yakuza, Swords &Horror.) This clip comes from the 6th episode "Horror."
