  • Hey Mr reviewer, I understand you're very passionate about this game, however I don't think the review really went into enough detail. You didn't talk about how easy it was to pick up and play or understand, as well as how responsive the controls are, what modes there and how long this game is likely to keep you playing for (replay value?). This is by no means an attack on you, but some constructive criticism. Indeed, I'm about to buy this game.

  • It truly is a pity this game does not have more recognition. People complain that the Wii is not a hard core console yet there are hard core games out there. It really doesn't get much harder than Sin and Punishment when it comes to recent games.

  • Is this game better or the N64 one?

  • @ExecuteRobot Personally I like this one more than the N64 one due to the Control options. Although it is very different as most Treasure games are. They always manage to change things enough to make each game stand on its own and almost seem like different games, yet obviously related. Every Boss feels very unique in this one. Very awesome.

  • Thank you so much Treasure for making this game, this is the best action game ever made and is a wonderful experience with environments so well done it is like a ride. I wasnt sure if this could live up to other Treasure games like S&P1 and Gunstar Heroes but this is one of the best games I have ever played and is easily deserving of a perfect score. I am so sad to hear that the game did not sell that well, years from now people will look back at this game as one of the best.

  • i just bought it 2day at game stop for only 20 BUCK,what a steal.

  • This game is really cheap now due to poor sales I'm sure. Unfortunate. This game is simply incredible. The game not only looks but SOUNDS amazing. From the effects to the awesome music. Even upon getting it for Christmas this year, I was unaware of exactly how good this game is. Finngamer said it was the best rail shooter he's ever played even over Panzer Dragoon. I must concur. This game made me fall in love all over again with video games.

  • sick review

  • You NEED to make a 3rd one and Harder!

  • @zeldafanboy23ify we originally tried playing Sin and Punishment Star Successor with Classic Controller and thought it was difficult enough. Then we were informed by testers that it was too easy with Wiimote and Nun-chuck. So we tried it with Wiimote and we noticed it was too easy, so we made it much harder. Perhaps you try it with Classic Controller on Hard mode? Don't tell us you already have.

  • @TreasureChannel I did but i got killed on level 6(alot)

  • just got this...treasure couldn't have come up with a better name for their company..sheer brilliance for the last 20 years!!! true gaming gold!!!

  • the game look good but I think the shouldve added the following to be perfect or worth an first day buy.

    better co-op w/2 people

online co-op w/wiispeak for better communication

I'll buy the game but maybe a price drop or special when I beat MPT,RE4 & other m (I know alot on my plate thank got for game faqs

heres a nit pick I dont like the way our protagist look all dirty. (atleast they were being og)

  • And you have fucked up teeth because you whistle when you say something with the letter ''S'' in it. It's so annoying man, use all that money you spent on a Bachelors in Visual Arts Liberal Arts on some braces. Or just stop reviewing games, or have someone speak for you.

  • @ddvs83 You just picked on someone you think has a deformity. You are a low person. How about he keeps his lisp, and you get your mind fixed instead.

  • @stringanime I don't even remember posting this... I think someone hacked my account and trolled this video.

  • @ddvs83 Wow. Well, my words were aimed toward the person saying that rude stuff. Nice that you found out someone hacked you. Who knows what fun they hav been having with you account. Do you like video games like this one?

  • @stringanime Yeah dude, I play games all the time! I'm a PC Gamer though, not so much consoles.

  • @ddvs83 Well, there is the option of emulation then. This game is a really cool Run and Gun Arcade rail shooter. I think the emulator to play wii roms is called Dolphin.

  • i had to sub the moment i heard the sword effects in the intro, also i just got this game and never have played the 1st.right now im busy playing POP:TFS,SMG 2,Fatal Frame 4,Tenchu 4, and so many other games, damn nintendo for releasing so many good games this year.also a heads up,last story is releasing this year and arc rising fantasia come out in a few weeks if u love rpgs like me

  • It's about time you started uploading videos! It's so damn great to see some more stuff.

  • @stringanime Well, the true ending doesn't matter much if you haven't beaten the first game and/or aren't familiar with its' story. But hey, maybe the different credits song should ring the "this ending is different" bells? (By the way, the song sounds like some kind of anime opening/ending.)

  • @lolSonicX Beat the game in Isa & Kachi mode. Then, watch the credits, after them you'll see an extra cutscene...

  • @Treasurance Wish I had known that, I just pressed start and it skipped it. Wish games would inform you of that kind of stuff. No biggy, I plan on beating it a bunch more.

  • Great review! Cant wait to play it! Treasure is THE BEST videogame developer in the World.

  • Great review of an amazing game. I am still amazed how absolutely fluid and precise the Wiimote controls. Add to that the design, music, and style of the game, and you've got yourself on one of the best games on the Wii. I was also shocked how long the game was. Treasure could have mailed it in with a simple 30 minute game, but instead they gave us over a 5 hour experience. Now that's some replay value.

  • @TreasureChannel However, stage 6 also has the funniest thing in the game: Cow Launching!

The story is also great, and if someone disagrees with this it is because it exceeds their understanding. The true end is hilarious.

A 10/10 barely does justice to this game.

  • @Treasurance I admit the Story does exceed my understanding, but I have come to expect that from myself when playing a Treasure game. I see the story as very alien and creative. I think whether you understand the story or not, you'll like it, if you like the game. I haven't run into many story seekers that want an Arcade action jammed shooter-fest. Unlike a lot of other games, The fact that there IS a story/dialog at all feels more like a bonus.

  • @stringanime 4 steps towards understanding the story!

    1. Check out the background story in the game's official website.

    2. Read the prologue in the game's manual.

    3. Watch all the cutscenes in game. (Including the true end.)

    4. Check out the story discussion in Ruffian HQ forums.

I'd recommend to do them in this order. Anyways, the story should make some sense now.

  • @Treasurance Interesting, thank you. However, part of enjoying the game and the story, for me, is NOT understanding it and leaving it as a mystery. IMO, a game should get negative points for having a story, like Mario Galaxy. Plot is always welcome, but aside from a few select games, story is something I can do without in games.

  • @Treasurance

I agree, the story is great, even tough I don't understand it fully. But I have a question:How do you get the true ending? Please.

  • I agree 10/10. One cool part is in stage 6 where you disconnect Train cars to ram into the Boss Chasing behind on the tracks and blowing fire at you while Land mine-dropping Dogs and Gun toting enemies are attacking from the front on the Cars you are jumping across.

  • Good review and hope to see more from you dudes again.

  • This was an ok review. I agree, this is really good game. I however would give this a 9, because i have some problems with the game and actually my problem is with level 6, it's pretty annoying. That part with the fishing pole must be one of the most annoying and idiotic parts in recent gaming. Other than that, really good game. Sin and punishment 2, No more heroes 2 and Monster hunter Tri are the Wii hardcore gamer survival pack.

  • @bolllzack The "fishing pole" is actually crane. It's one of the parts where 2nd player is really useful. Just deflect the rockets at the cranes and you'll be fine. But yeah, stage 6 is the sloppiest stage in the game, there are oddly long parts without anything to shoot and then there's the horrible fist fight with Deko in the end...how the hell can you beat that consistently on higher difficulties than Easy?!

  • @Treasurance We found that Charge Blasting one side of the Crane then Shooting the other side worked best for us. Also, as you will no doubt see in Skill runs on the internet, Pressing Jump, Dash and melee attacking all at the same time or quickly after one another produces a tight fighting maneuver while on the ground and air.

  • @Treasurance sin & punishment 2 reminds me of space harrier & phantasy star.

  • @bolllzack We thought about a 9; we discussed if we wanted to be like typical Reviews and use an Ideal Imaginary game to weigh against S&P2, meaning judging a game against what doesn't exist. However seeing as no one has ever done most of these concepts nor this polished of a run and Gun game, we realized we have no right to do that, especially since the likelihood of any other developer to do half as good of job, is nil. Most of us only died one time on that Fishing pole part.

  • Lol, agreeing with everything in this.
