Song is a fine squad player but he's not world class, and we need someone world class in that role. I wouldn't call him an 'unsung hero' considering he had to be taken off against Chelsea at half time because he was so out of his depth.

He wasn't out of his depth, Wenger decided to go for broke and the next goal was vital. It was disallowed but had it stood, the game would've been different.

That game didn't show any weakness from Song's point of view, it showed Arsenal's weakness as a unit. It showed that you need a focal point in attack, a centre forward who will be a target for all the excellent ball players.

Pires + Henry had an amazing understanding, i can't believe Wenger let him go (only 1 year contracts for 30 and 30+) he was a 10-15 league goals a season guy. Wenger is amazing at making teams but he keeps managing to lose his best players. For me Arsenal r 4/5 players short of a title winning team... Almunia, Song, Diaby and a question mark over walcott are just too average. You look at chelsea/liverpool... Reina/Cech > Alumnia, Mash/Essien > Song, Alonso/Ballack > Diaby.
