Thanks for posting brought back some great childhood memories. We used to play on that ship's hulk in front of the Ostan Gweedore, I was back last year & couldn't believe it was still there, I'm 35 & we played on it as far back as I can remember. My Dad's got a house in Strananbrooey, where all our family were from, but since his mum died I rarely go over. This inspired me though. Thank you.
@wineforwool So sorry to hear that, I know most people from there want to make it their final home, so I'm sure its what he'd have wanted. We had to take my Gran on her last journey home a few yrs back, although she lived there she was visiting Scotland when she died. My Dad still has the house there, but its tough to go back. The family seem to be shrinking. Its a truly beautiful part of the world, 1 of nature's best kept secrets. May your dad Rest in Peace, he picked an amazing place.. x
At 1:48 is a photo of the Seaview hotel, owned by my mum's cousin (maiden name McDaid) and her family. What a surprise to see it on a video here. The area around there is so beautiful.
at the picture of the citizens of gweedore, the man sitting on the grass with the hat on is my great grandad Charlie Mulligan and that house is still there today the same(where the video shop is now).Im a McGarvey so hes my grandads mums dad.He even looks like my grandad too.Wow .thanks for posting this. Im from Gweedore in Corveen but I live in Glasgow now.I come over every few months.Sigh..now i wanna take the ferry over..
Hi, Nice to Gweedoor on YouTube. Iremember travelling through gweedore a few years ago and Staying in Seaview Hotel with the "Boyle" family. I was led to believe from Mrs Boyle that they "own" Gweedore or More or less Made it what it is today which is quite an accomplishment. People of Gweedore were the most friendliest of all the counties we had visited in Ireland.

Hy everyone in Gweedore. Is it known in which house Enya was living with his parents when she was a child ?
This land is a magical place.
kevpike1 1 year ago
@kevpike1 Yeah it's known where her home place is and where she was brought up. She gets peace round here though, nobody would bother her.

My father Brian Anson who so loved Gaoth Dobhair and Her people passed away just some days ago.
We shall be bringing some of his ashes to the land he knew fondly of as 'Home' some time in 2010
Thank you for a beautiful film
