@16881873 It does exist, except the name changed, to Champions League. And its not a fluke, as we returned to the final 3 years later, in addition to this, I just dont know how you could fluke against some of the worlds best anyway, maybe 1 or 2 games, but not a full tournament. Anyway, just goes to prove the Celtic were one of the best teams in the world at the time, as this is the biggest club competition in the world.... remember?

Do you know Celtic's ground, Celtic Park, was closed down by the Scottish and British authorities during the war in 1941 due to songs and chants in support of Adolf Hitler by Celtic's Nazi fans ?
