I believe you are refering to the Keating scandal, which the Senate Ethics committee acquitted found that John McCain's involvement was that he met with 4 other senators who were involved in the actual scandal.

It was poor judgment on McCain's part for meeting with them, but he learned his lesson. Russ Feingold is a great guy. Thank you for doing the right thing. Feingold deserves a spot in the McCain-Palin Administration's Cabinet. A Few Democrats in a Cabinet for a Republican Administration is a great idea. Keeps things balanced and gets things done. Which is why John McCain is a perfect president.

Feingold is from Janesville, and even though its has(had) the largest GM plant in the state, its mostly conservative. He holds town meetings in every county in the state. His comments reflect what many in WI think, and his contituancy will continue to elect him because he's not like other politicians and his record shows that.
