  • I know its been a few years now Jean, but did you give up?? Im just starting, please see my Vid, regards AJ :)

  • PART: 2 . Also taking a medication that takes away your desire to smoke is not really interfering with your " free will " because you decide whether to take the medication or not so by you taking meds you are saying you want to stop and want it to take away the desire. That would be the whole point of taking medicine to stop. On the other hand if someone kidnapped you and forced you to take it ... then I'd agree, your " Free Will " is being fucked with, and you should try to escape .

  • Part: 1 Way to go I hope you are successful, I want to quit too but the very thought of it makes me have a panic attack so good luck .

  • day 2 for me, still smoking, but hope are high :)

  • $300? really? you should have claimed it on your health insurance. I claimed it and I had to pay $15 as a copay.

  • $300?

    i got them for £7

    thanks NHS =) lol!

and they do work, not had a cig for 2 days and not even craved them even though ive been with my gf who smokes.

the wierd dreams are funny to, i had one about the marshmellow man off ghostbusters the other night??? haha!!

  • I'm on day 10 I still crave smokes

  • im on my 8th day and today is the first day in about 15 years that i havent had a smoke, i feel awesome, im not gonna look back, yes this medication really does work.... cant believe i have pumped that shit into my body for so long..

  • does it really work?

  • i have been on champix for around 9 days, I stopped smoking on day 2 and havn't had one since. This stiff really works, the side effects are pretty ordinary, but i'd definatley rather feel nausea for a hour a day than have my life run by nicotine. Life is totally different now.

  • Champix is made by pfizer and it does really work. You also have to want to give up yourself as the drug by itself wont work.

If you have made a decision to give up then taking this medication will help you.

Welcome to the world of non smokers. I used Champix and it worked for me. I can now look at all the Anti Smoking adds as I dont smoke. As a Smoker I would always turn away

    Good Luck

  • Your freewill probably isn't affected by this drug. It just makes you not want cigarettes (possibly). You can still smoke, but you might not have the urge to.

  • Me and my wife quit smoking now since 11 November 2007 with the use of champix.

We used it for 3 months.

    You also gonna make it.

  • How is it going? I just got my champix today, but to be honest I'm fucking bricking it.

I'm really giving a thought about whether I should take it or not, thankfully I get them for free in my country.

  • I hope you succeed in quitting. I'll be watching your progress with Champix closely.

Like you, I usually enjoy smoking, so it's going to be difficult for me, but I know I have to quit. Why? Because as far as we know, this is the only life we get, and I rather enjoy being alive.

    Please keep us posted. Thanks!

  • God you are TOO cute.

I hate when women make me feel this way.

I've been chewing nicorette. That seems to work pretty good, although my cat tried to rip my face off once when I breathed on him while chewing it. (Comparing this shit to catnip is like comparing crack to pot.)

How is the Champix going? Any cravings?

I wish there was a "Currieix." I crave smoking you WORSE than a cigarette!

  • Any kind of buzz?

  • good luck lady!
