You know, we can say Laurie survived the fall. Because firstly, Michael didn't stab Laurie strong enough (like he does with everyone else), and secondly, we can say that the she fell on the ground (not concrete) and that the branches she hit somewhat saved her from a large impact on the ground. But I know why she had to die anyway. These were just ideas. However, that death scene should have taken place somewhere around the film's climax. Would've been much more interesting, and not pointless.
and yes, i do know that in the first one laurie was able to see michael's face after she pulled his mask off, but it was just a quick glance at that, so she didn't really get a good look at him, and it was dark in the house. also here, it is more than 20 years later, so there would be no way for her to tell how he would look as a much older man.
OK,this doesn't make sense for 2 main reasons, and they both have to do with him tricking her into testing to make sure it was really him, not someone innocent:
#1: if it were truly someone else that michael had switched clothing w/ again like he supposedly did previously, why was this person still holding the knife, chasing laurie clearly trying to kill her?
#2: laurie doesn't even know what michael's real face looks like, so once she would remove the mask, how would she know it was him anyway?
okay if this movie is true then why is Michael still killing people when his mission is done? I mean he can just go back to his home fix it up get a job and live happily ever after
Being this movie did not need to be made but it was although H20 was the perfect ending. Yeah, I've heard the arguments from people who like RESURRECTION or at the very least accept it (yeah, they exist) that they could always go back and bring back John, or even Laurie if they really wanted to. Which is fine I guess and I don't want to be judgmental about it (I like the SW PT so I've had my share of experience of people bashing my opinions) but I just can't help but feel that even brining John/Laurie back would still overextend a story that was completed before.

In my little fantasy world, he wasn't trying to kill her, he was trying to save her by grabbing her and the knife was just there. In MY stories of this account, she doesn't die. I think her death kind of made the whole thing pointless afterward

Worst Halloween I have ever seen. It was as if they grabbed the franchise which was always quite creepy and totally made it a laughing stock! Only when they reinvented Halloween a few years later, only then did I appreciate the franchise again but I'm sorry this is just shite.

They need to fix this mess. My perfect endind would be that Laurie didn't die, we saw her falling but we never saw her body so she's been hiding for years (In H20 Jonh says to Keri (Laurie) that she saw Michael burned (Halloween 2) and her answer was "they never found his ashes"). So Michael finds Jonh who's now an alcoholic and thinks his mother is dead. Then Laurie finds Michael and kills him once and for all and saves her son once again.
I really hated this movie and what they did with the story. Halloween was always about Michael and Laurie and they fucked that up in the first five minutes, and the rest of the movie sucked by the way.
And yeah, it could've been a paramedic. Or, if it was him, the director probably just wanted to finish the movie. I mean, Laurie survived when we all though she was dead. But the others can't survive, such as Jamie, because they died gruesomely and we saw their faces. Just saying.

when i watched halloween resurrection, i was expecting that laurie strode would show up in the climax fighting michael with busta rhymes and the other woman. It disappointed me that when the movie ended, it was saying that laurie strode died.

Once Laurie is out of the picture, the story loses its value. I always found this story more interesting than all the other flicks of the 'slasher' genre because of the dark and disturbing dysfunctional relationship between these two siblings. That's what always made it stand out. I think Rob Zombie captured that relationship to a tee. "Resurrection" was fun to watch, but I don't consider it part of the Michael Myers saga.
Whoever made this film sure didn't give a monkey's behind on whoever dies. Shame on them for killing off Laurie Strode in such bullshit way. The original mask was perfect for the shape aka Micheal Myers. The other mask are just like the later films...silly, laughable, imitation of the original. The reason why the shape picked that mask was because he saw himself. Pale, blank, emotional less face with the blackest eyes. What I loved about the first film is the mythic aura he had. U don't hv that in the remakes.
Saw the Original on Blue ray and its a masterpiece. Its not even a slasher film but a thriller. The remakes hv nothing to do with the original. John Carpenter said Myers is a PURE evil force, in the shape of a man. That's why he's called the shape. That's why he vanishes at the end in 1st one because u can't kill evil. The remake killed the story with the sister plot and him running around like Jason.

The real reason why Laurie Strode was killed was because Jamie Lee Curtis wanted no part in anymore Halloween movies: stating in June of 2006, "After H20, I was asked to be in three more films chronicling my escape from Michael--It just didn't work out for me. The screenplays that came across my hands were awful and I didn't want to sign any contracts that I'd regret later on. So I just told them, 'I think Laurie's run enough.' A Few days later, the script was changed and I read my death scene."

They need to fix this mess. My perfect endind would be that Laurie didn't die, we saw her falling but we never saw her body so she's been hiding for years (In H20 Jonh says to Keri (Laurie) that she saw Michael burned (Halloween 2) and her answer was "they never found his ashes"). So Michael finds Jonh who's now an alcoholic and thinks his mother is dead. Then Laurie finds Michael and kills him once and for all and saves her son once again.

This isn't right cuz if you look closely when Laurie cut off Michael's head in H20 his eyes were open and on this movie the guys eyes were closed when they unmasked the head. That's where they messed up and on H20 it WAS Michael in the van..... Laurie beheaded Michael end of story.

Once Laurie is out of the picture, the story loses its value. I always found this story more interesting than all the other flicks of the 'slasher' genre because of the dark and disturbing dysfunctional relationship between these two siblings. That's what always made it stand out. I think Rob Zombie captured that relationship to a tee. "Resurrection" was fun to watch, but I don't consider it part of the Michael Myers saga.

Or the villains as well. The Joker "drowns" at the end of some issue but we find out later that somehow he survived.

The original mask was perfect for the shape aka Micheal Myers. The other mask are just like the later films...silly, laughable, imitation of the original. The reason why the shape picked that mask was because he saw himself. Pale, blank, emotional less face with the blackest eyes. What I loved about the first film is the mythic aura he had. U don't hv that in the remakes.

Saw the Original on Blue ray and its a masterpiece. Its not even a slasher film but a thriller. The remakes hv nothing to do with the original. John Carpenter said Myers is a PURE evil force, in the shape of a man. That's why he's called the shape. That's why he vanishes at the end in 1st one because u can't kill evil. The remake killed the story with the sister plot and him running around like Jason.

The real reason why Laurie Strode was killed was because Jamie Lee Curtis wanted no part in anymore Halloween movies: stating in June of 2006, "After H20, I was asked to be in three more films chronicling my escape from Michael--It just didn't work out for me. The screenplays that came across my hands were awful and I didn't want to sign any contracts that I'd regret later on. So I just told them, 'I think Laurie's run enough.' A Few days later, the script was changed and I read my death scene."
