this is the norm at Wellington , you ride the vomit comet more times than a smooth landing , it's actually interesting as a passenger watching the airfield coming at you sideways and makes you appreciate the pilots skill
I would love to be on those planes! hard landings are so much fun! u had one comming back from gatwick in march in a FCA 767 and we slammed into the ground! apparently 2 tires burst! its was so much fun!
Yeah, they're just the best. I remember one flight I had going from Atlanta to Gatwick and on the approach, turbulence was so extreme that a flight attendant fell onto my lap, then the landing was so hard that a lady a few rows behind screamed and another dude was like "Shiiiiit!!!" and I was all "Haha!".
lol. When theres turbulence I just start grinning involuntarily. My most turbulent flight was from sofia to london just after hurricane lily was clearing england.
If you had encountered extreme turbulence, you would most likely be dead and the plane would have broken up in air. That would be severe turbulence you had there.
1) An airplane is put together with aircraft grade aluminum, industrial rivets, and extremely precise, strong, welding. It would take a massive amount of turbulence to break it apart, which would be the strongest turbulence ever encountered, making it nearly impossible as that strength of turbulence never happened.
2) The planes wings would NEVER bend that far. Its just a precaution... there has never been, as stated before, an account of turbulence that severe.
The hardest airport I know where to land for sure! After Paro, Bhutan, but that's a different story. Nice to see no one got some serious problems, only the Quantas 767 had a huge updraft, and the 727 did a go around. Good job, fun to watch. Great mix too!
We had kind of the same weather conditions in Norway on the take off of my flight down to Portugal. Well not rain/clouds, but heavy-unpridictable-winds. xD =D

A flight attendant just fell into your lap? I've been waiting years for that to happen to me! No luck yet.

but only most planes dont break up in air...right?
TheREALHIPNOTIC 2 years ago 2
most planes wings are tested to bend up to 75-90 degrees... show me some turbulence that bends wings that far, and maybe we'll talk... lol
StinkyCheeser 2 years ago
1) that's all fine and dandy but what about the rest of the plane
2) If wings bend that far the plane will be dropping out of the sky
