  • What kind of gun oil took off the finish? I have used this product for years without problem. Heck the finish held up to Hopps 89 solvent.

  • @cbarsonfire Birchwood Casey "Barricade" I use it on all my shotguns because we hunt in saltwater and it seems to work well. It took the finish straight off.

  • @GunNut1993 semi gloss. Whatever you do don't put bore cleaner on it. It will take it right off.

  • Woah I laughed pretty loud when that red text box poped up, that was unexpected lol.

  • Looks go I didn't think we were gonna see it when you said 6 weeks great job -Jason

  • @2024JayZ Thanks. Yeah, I just left it in the shed and forgot about it. I plan on testing the finish this dove season to see how it last.

  • Oven baked!! looks good it did what it said it would maybe you can get another 30 out of that shotgun.

  • @deepfriedking Your not kidding. I bet I could have gotten another 30 out of it anyway. Those 870's are relentless. Of course if I did I would be pushing 80. LOL I bet I get to pass it on to my kid.

  • I'ld need to hit the gym before shaking the can that long! I'ld be wore out! I like the transition when you got out of the chair. I didnt even notice it coming. Nice edit. It looks good! All I have is an 870... great quick how to!

  • @dnahoghunter Haha. Yeah shaking that can in 90 degree heat will wear this fatboy out. Anybody that can chase hog dogs for a mile can do it. It didn't turn out perfect but it did turn out better than what it was.

  • Hey I think it turned out very well, good job man, looks nice.

  • @jcp342 Thanks for the comments. I think I'll start on another old gun today.

  • Looks good man!! We got a couple single shoots that need to be refinished!!! Thanks for the info!!

  • @TheSimpleMan81 Thanks man. Its not perfect but it didn't have to be on this old pump gun.

  • Gotta love a remington 870!!I've got one too!!It'll take a beatin thats for sure!!Cool video man thanks I'll be buyin me some too!!

  • @MrGETitGOTit your not kidding. The remington 870 has to be the toughest gun of all time. They are reasonably priced and you can put them in your will.

  • that turned out pretty good for being spray on! normally everything i try thats spray on doesnt turn out that good, you have to go on line for that or is it in the stores?i wanna try it on a couple rifles. great vid Danny nice how to!

  • @BOHEMIANHUNTINGCLUB Thanks James. I purchased online at Brownell's. I have an old nylon 66 that I'm going to use the rest of the can on.

  • that didn't turn out bad at all for a quick fix...thanks for the info

  • @mnjbooth I wouldn't think you would want to do it on a really expensive weapon but this gun was the perfect candidate. Thanks for watching.

  • how do u put another screw on recoil pad....cause i have a rem model 1100 and it kills my shoulder after shooting ducks all day

  • @CopenSomeWint I would think it would just unscrew and then you screw on another pad. If it isn't that easy then you might want to take it in to a gun shop.

  • Very nice shotgun!!!!!

  • @bigtxrebel Thanks Big, I think it turned out okay. It looks a whole lot better than it did and will probably last another 30 yrs.
