They will not only have fivecruisers.They will often be accompanied by Acclamator-I and IIs for more frontline based fighting as they are slightly more expendable.And also what are bombers and fighters for other than to disable capital ships without poking a large hole in your wallet?

many ships had fighters in them and some ships had only cannons (like shown in the beginning of star wars ep 3 when general grievous ship went aside a republic one). Full of ammo for space battle only if they engage another fleet. Plus other ships with just full of hundreds of soldiers.
