  • I wish he was a Democrat if he doesn't took a hard stance on abortion. There are plenty of anti-abortion politicians in the Democratic Party even though they're in the minority.

  • i like him. yes, he represents the republican views, but he knows that as a political leader, its his responsibility to make the right decision, as supposed to voting 'no' just because hes a republican.

  • says poor Cao. Not. Loses his seat after Barry makes the only campaign video---for his opponent. Ahhhh. Too bad so sad. In a Dem+28 district, his days were numbered and only won because his opponent, William Jefferson, went to jail for 13 years. So, repeal passes the house with more BIPARTISAN support than enactment got.

  • first of all, we can all agree that america ranked 43rd in quality of life just before slovakia which is ranked 42nd...

  • An Asian GOP, but just like any other GOP, that punk ass is and always will be backed by and represent the interests of multi-billionares who will tell him exactly how to vote or else, he will be gone the next election season...all GOP are backed by the same supporters with the same economic goals, dumbify people, destroy middle class, turn this country into a plutocracy, and ensure their own powers forever, it's a competitiveness that the billionaires have against the common working men.

  • we freaking need more politicians like him!!!

  • thằng hồ chí minh đã tùy tiện sai thằng phạm văn đồng

Health Care is a Human Right - don't worry America I have an idea - for both parties & the citizens --- EXERCISE, NATURAL MEDICINE, VEGAN DIET, ONLY H20 WATER - 9 SLEEP AT NIGHT, & DETOX LIVER, KIDNEY & COLON - also drink WHEAT GRASS ALOE VERA & you want need health care - the body can heal it self - Trust us Europeans

  • its weird

a higher % of democrats voted no than republicans that voted yes

of course there was just 1 republican

  • Start packing your bags dope 2010 your finished

  • he seems like a very good person, nice to hear

  • Golly, a Republican party member who cares about America and the citizens of America.... who could have guessed that was even possible?!

  • Joseph Cao is likely a Christian and he puts his conscience before all else.

He is a modern day Thomas Moore. Brave of him, bearing in mind what happened to Thomas Moore's political future.

    A leap of Faith.

He is not wrong here because if his district is poor, the district will be a net benefactor of funds.

The richer districts will have to carry the poorer districts as in the UK National Health scheme

  • Nancy gave him 1.27 billion reasons to vote yes. So now we spend big bucks to off members.

  • wtf poor grammar..and his constituents are poor alrdy so he is going to kill them financially

  • Hi sandio713,

I am a Canadian and as I know that this health care system is not yet perfect, but it s a peace in mind who are sicks without money. There are still cases that ppl go to US for health treatment . They are maybe either rich or covered under private insurance or seek treament which is not avalailble in Canada but certainly they are not poor pple ..

  • Only one Republican had the balls to vote for health care reform?!?!

    wow.

  • Bless his heart....I'm a nurse in Puerto Rico and We'd never allow our people to suffer the way they do over in America via HMO exploitation. How can the Republicans be so callous and evil? Every other industrialized country has universal care and so should the U.S......You guys are only the most powerful because you exploit and abuse your own the most and it's enough already. Obama is a great man and President. Americans have grown too used to being treated like shit from the right wing.

  • Yeah, I respect Joseph Cao for going against the Republicans and voting for the sake of his district majority of which are Democrats. He had their interests at heart.

  • "Played, Betrayed, Health Care Delayed: House Passes Bailout For Private Insurance Companies."

    BlackAgendaReport . com

"Now we know what the Obama administration means by health care reform. They mean guranteeing the rights of insurance and drug companies to their profits. They mean making health insurance like car insurance, with everyone compelled by law to purchase it from a private vendor, except for the very poorest among us, who will be offered a public option ..."

  • Bribery, coercion, bartering a vote ... Obama impeachment? We couldn't get that lucky, that begging self centered son of a bitch!

  • "Good Going Cao,What Is John McCain Opinion About You"

  • This is really strange for me. I'm usually defending a Republican against dumb libs. I guess by all counts Cao is acting like lib, with taken bribes and acting like a criminal. Maybe when the rubber meets the road, it's not libs I hate, it's their criminal activity I despise. Cao reminds me of them when he gets down in the dirt with them. I'm glad I didn't vote for him. I will sleep better at night knowing I didn't vote another criminal into office.

  • I'm thinling that it's probably not a great reputation for him to have given what his predessor was charged with (charged with 11 counts of criminal activity, which included bribery). And then to have it publicized that Cao was taken bribes from the dem party shortly after Jefferson's conviction--it just doesn't look real promising to the ppl that Cao is any different than Jefferson. He's only been in office for a very short time. If it "clucks like a chicken". Then, need I say more?

  • Look, you asshole. I happen to be a staunch Republican and I have a major concern about them acting like dems (misleading the ppl, taxing ppl to death, taking bribes, etc.). So don't tell me to mind my business, b cuz Cao is no better than his predessor, who is also a criminal. As I said, I am a republican and, personally, I have no use for this asshole as a republican. He's nothing more than a criminal just like his predessor.

  • Not to mention tht maybe the ppl wanted something different other than criminal minded democrat. If they wanted a dem in there, they would have voted for one. Just b cuz they are poor it doesn't mean that they want socialized health care. In fact, I know a lot of poor ppl that don't want handouts, they just want a job.

  • A man of the people, by the people. following Lincoln steps. Cao doesn't teabag. Conscious is our sense of truth upon our humanity.

  • Good luck getting re-elected Asian communist! get out of our party you marxist you are not and never will be a real Reagan Republican!

  • @GodGunsGlory You're an idiot. Of course Cao isn't a Reagan Republican. Obama got 74% of the vote in Cao's district. Voting for Obama's reform agenda is the only way he'll have a chance at reelection.

  • Ah, nice to have my interests served.

    Long live Rep Cao!

  • This bastard political oppportunist couldn't justify his vote for health care with one logical argument or even a statistic...he clearly lacks the integrity, and the intelligence, to be an effective public servant- but, alas, his detestable attitude toward legislation has become all too common in washington.

  • jjdynomite987 - You got that right! The last thing the constituents needed to see in his district that he took a bribe, especially after what they seen from his precedessor, who, ironically, was a democrat. I'm sure those constituents are wondering now if they can ever get anyone in there that's not criminal minded. If I were them, I would be wondering the same exact thing myself.

  • While 96% of voters say most politicians fail to keep their campaign promises ...

    "

Sixty-eight percent (68%) of GOP voters and 52% of unaffliateds think that when politicians break campaign promises, its because they deliberately made false promises. Seventy-four percent (74%) of Democrats attribute it to unforeseen events after they took office.

    "-- rassmussen reports . com

    Democrat = Dupe

  • Did that report mention stats of politicians taking bribes?

  • Political donations to candidates & parties, according to FEC data (opensecrets . org), from LOBBYISTS:

    Democrat: 69%

    Republican: 31%

Democrats & Big Biz -- Life Partners

  • those are some very good stats Tyler. You should make up some more.

I dont even need to see a link. Because last i checked independent candidates exist and your numbers for republicans and democrats = 100%. so either independent candidates dont get lobbyist money.. or they dont exist...

or of course the 3rd option which is that you are a complete moron.

  • Hint to the vicinity of a clue: opensecrets . org

The fun of sticking reality right up against the snout of a Democrat is in having them chronicle the manner in which they reject it.

  • did i make an error in my assessment?

Please put a direct link to the specific page you cite your statistics from... even though using basic logic i apparently derailed the entire website, if what you posted is true.

  • Dismissing the cold hard facts, and bitterly cling to Democrat mythology, as you do, isn't about "logic".

  • Selfish conservatism has no place in society. Selfish conservatives are a disgrace to humane societies across the world.

  • Ignorant people attacking him as if race was a factor wtf.

  • Only Repub with conscience.

  • Vote every incumbant you can out of office, send a message to the congress and the senate reminding them that they SERVE the people and peoples best interests.

  • Anh "Joseph" Cao escaped Communist Vietnam to America....... why did you bother if you want to turn the country you escaped TO into the country you escaped FROM

  • Or maybe the headlines one day will say something like this, but the name will be Cao:

In the 16-count indictment, Jefferson was charged with soliciting bribes and other crimes for a series of schemes in which he helped American businesses broker deals in West African in exchange for payments or financial considerations to companies controlled by members of his family, including his brother Mose, his wife, Andrea, their five daughters and a son-in-law.

  • He's really "hit the ground running" hasn't he? OFF TO A GREAT START AS A POLITICIAN IN NEW ORLEANS!

  • I wonder what the headlines will read for Cao, would it be something like this:

    NEW ORLEANS METRO REAL-TIME NEWS

Breaking Local News from New Orleans, LouisianaBreaking News, Court news »

William Jefferson verdict: Guilty on 11 of 16 counts

    By Tim Morris

    August 05, 2009, 4:28PM

  • azns ftw

  • traitor

  • I'm not a traitor, Cao is! I'm very disgusted with what Cao did, especially after the very person he replaced was charged with bribery. And the ppl thought they were electing something different. As it turns out, they didn't.

  • You seem to forget who Cao replaced. The man (William Jefferson, 'D') that he replaced was bribed. In fact, they found the money in his freezer at home. Don't you think those constituents in that area are sick of their elected officials taking bribes? So in one sense you're right--It doesn't matter if it's a dem or repub, they all can be bought!

  • Don't worry, though, the dems got it all figured out. They'll just bribe him with the taxpayers money, b cuz the ppl won't mind, the dems spend our money all the time on what they perceive is "good for the country." Who elses money do you think the dems bribed him with--Pelosi's--Obama's--I don't think so.

  • Yeah!!!!! Cao...

Not hip on the abortion thing but YEAH for you being a stand up man... I respect you for that sir.

Cao the new face of the republican party!!!

  • This is the horseshit I cant stand. He actually got a loan his state owed dismissed. All this spending money(ear marks) and giving out favors for parties to get votes needs to stop. The party heads are buying party votes with OUR money! Where is the fucking representation of your constituents?

  • Buy or goto jail!

  • hey -you repubs should listen to this guy.He actually votes based upon his needs in the district. This guy seems to be the only one of you that has any idea of what his voters want.

  • no, he followed the liberal policy of handouts for votes. EVERY liberal policy is handouts for votes, or handouts for money. Yall should try to WORK HARD for what you want, you may be surprised that if you get off your duffs, you can buy YOUR OWN FOOD. ARGH@@ liberals are a disgrace to society

  • why am I not surprised that this republican's a minority? Its a big club folks, and we're not in it...not even this guy.

  • who wants to rub some medium rare prime rib on my breasts on halloween?

  • Holy crap an intelligent Republican who actually read and considered the bill... I think this is a sign of positive change within the Republican party.

  • @henrywalsh - How does reading the bill and leaning toward it make him intelligent? Are the other republicans that read the bill and did not support it make them dumb? Your an idiot, and obviously dont undestand the difference between dumb and in favor of.

  • Because the other Republicans simply listened to what they were told to do. I bet a fair number of them never even read it, they were just following orders with how they voted. The bill was fair and good for the American people, Republicans are just worried about losing money because they only care about the wealthy and don't give a damn about those of us who are working hard and are either dealing with or are deathly afraid of health complications.

  • Just another dumb lib spouting rhetoric! Maybe the repubs don't want to give up their hard earned money to a bunch of lazy leaches with no skills or brains.

  • It isn't about lazy leeches, (you misspelled it) it is about hard working people. I don't have health care, I can't afford it. I am an adjunct college instructor who teaches joint enrollment students. I am part time and get no benefits. I work a second job as a private tutor. Together I work more than 40 hours per week. I work with underprivileged kids for the tutoring. I live paycheck to paycheck. I am hardly lazy or uneducated or a leech. I also have cancer. This bill helps me.

  • I'm VERY sorry to hear about your conditon. I wish you god's speed. But do you really believe this bill will make a diff for you? I've seen and heard a lot of horror stories from other countries that have this scialized health care. In fact, there are many ppl coming across the border from Canada for care, b cuz they can't get it in Canada in a timely manner due to the backlog. There are always shortages of doctors to cover the plan and ppl literally deteriorate in the process of waiting.

  • I have looked over the information that was released, and yes, it will. Because I was diagnosed while I was in college when I had no health insurance I cannot get any coverage because it is pre-existing. I have to pay for all of my treatments myself and there are many times I have run out of meds, having to sacrifice medications that can ease the pain I am in or medications designed to help counteract the side-effects of other medications I am on. (cont)

  • It is a life that at times I can only describe as hell. I cannot afford to have regular check ups and frequently have to cancel appointments due to lack of money. The piled up bills ruined me financially and forced me into bankruptcy. I lost everything I had because of our current health care system. My house, my car, any hopes of ever opening my business, my job that I went to college to get, I have seen first hand what the downsides of our health care system is and I don't want to see (cont)

  • anyone go through what I have had to endure. Yes, people may deteriorate, but at least they have a chance of getting care. Right now we don't have people dying because they are waiting for treatment. We have people dying because they have no chance to get treatment. This will open a new hope for people. If I had been able to get regular check ups my cancer might have been caught before it went as far as it did. So yeah, I think this bill will help people. It's too late to help me, but not others

  • Did you ever try to get medicaid through your state? It seems that some program should have been able to help you in your condition.

  • I tried and was denied in Arizona where I was a student, when I got back to Georgia I was denied again.

  • Henry,

If it is not too personal to ask, how much money do you make per hour?

  • My job as a teacher I make $19.00 an hour. My job as a tutor I make less than that, and often my students cannot afford to pay me but I can't deny someone who is actively trying to learn.

Before the bankruptcy (which caused my student loans to go into stasis) which helped, a lot, I was making about $1,600 per month. I was paying out over $2,100 per month in medical, student loans, and credit card bills (which were mostly run up due to the medical) now I make about $1,100 per month take home.

  • It is important to note that as an adjunct instructor it is part time work as well so I don't get paid for holidays, any sick days, or any kind of vacation. The times of the year I dread are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Summer Break... All three of those cut my income nearly in half and also a lot of the tutoring goes away then too so I spend those times mowing laws, tending tobacco patches, and other odd menial labor positions.

Just wanted to show there that nobody can call me lazy heh.

  • Mr. Walsh. I have seen many young ppl get medicaid who are much healthier than you are. Why haven't you tried to get it? If all is true in what you are saying about your condition, you should try. Medicaid dosen't deny ppl for pre-existing conditions.

  • As stated, I tried, several times. In Georgia Medicaid is very twitchy. I am single, I don't have children, I am male, I make too much (yeah... right) yadda yadda. I am appealing it actually as we speak.

  • Henry,

Why don't you move to Canada, Australia, Europe for free health care?

  • Honestly I had considered it, but moving costs money. I am still under a bankruptcy so I can't get credit. I have no savings. I am lucky if I have $100 left over at the end of the month. I would need a job over there before I could move, then some way to afford to do it, the logistics of it are a nightmare. As I said, I had considered it. So as not to plug this thread up, if you want to continue talking please feel free to send me a private message and we can talk more.

  • Mr. Walsh, Even though I am a greety Repub, situations like yrs definitly capture my attn. U should continue yr fight for medicaid. It sounds like U deserve it. I hate to be the one to tell you this, but yr problem with MEDICARE is that U make to much money btwn all your jobs. If U are that ill, you should just quit them. That's the only thing that will help you in the country at this point. I hate to say it, but it's true. The only ppl that get attn now are those that are out of work.

  • I can't do that.

Part time jobs, even two of them, don't give me access to unemployment. I'd be homeless if I quit either of my jobs. As said, health care reform is not going to help me, I've accepted that and I live each day as it comes.

My dad is a ret. disabled American veteran, he was crippled in Vietnam fighting for his country. He taught me to never stop trying and to always make my own way. The problem, you just outlined, I shouldn't have to mooch, to get health care not in the US.

  • I have to admit I've never been in a situation like yours. You are definitly unique for most American situations. I have always had health insurance through my jobs and have never had to experience for myself other's without it. Ever since I was 20 yrs old, I worked in some capacity for the gvt and have had excellent insurance. Maybe that's why I can't understand that other's are suffering. That's not to say that I didn't work hard for mine, b cuz I did and was always willing to.

  • Not to mention that I definitly wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. It was more determination than anything.

  • Well I came from a poor family. My dad wasn't high ranked when he was disabled and my sister and I were born after that. My dad was the only income we had growing up and it wasn't much. I scraped every penny myself to go to college no college fund or anything.

The thing is, I am NOT unique, I have a support group with 11 other people all in a similar situation.

People just don't see this part of the US generally, the hard workers who suffer, not the people living off of welfare.

  • Done.

  • @henrywalsh - If you think this bill is fair and good like you say, you have not read it. This bill will do nothing to lower the cost of healthcare, it does not even go into effect til 2013, yet the fines and taxes will start sooner then that. So tell me what beneift is there going to be for people who are paying for it, but cant get anything from it. This bill is a fundraiser for the democrats, that is all. You should be ashamed to be an American.

  • I am more ashamed that you are an American Zoklor.

I have read the bill, I stated above that it won't help me. The fact is that the funds raised will help to mitigate the costs of the bill, if you can't understand that a surplus has to be built up you don't understand economics.

It will lower the cost of Health Care, under the regulations if you note them. It won't lower health care costs for the person who already HAS health care, but it will for those who don't, considerably.

  • Finally someone who listen and read the bill before voting.

  • The reason he voted with the dems is that he made a deal with Obama and Polosi. Essentially, he was bought out by the dems. Not to mention he is REALLY stupid!

  • No excuse. CAO needs to go. See you later. You've got a duty to Americans being in congress. GOOD RIDDENS CAO. Oh, don't let the door hit you in the ... on your way out. Their are many more just like you that have to go, so don't take it personal. WE don't need gov't screwups telling us how to raise our kids or telling us what treatment we can have and what we can't. Come on 2010 and 2012. This will be a great change.

I'm sure they respect your decision, keep believing that. see ya !!

  • Wow Bang removed my post . Guess this is not a free site . But other peeps are bitching and arguing and nothing . You got a problem with Nam Vets huh ?

  • Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao has been known as an honest Congressmen who works for his people and most importantly of his conscience . We certainly need more republicans like him and I am sure Americans will vote for him again and again in coming terms.

  • Keep dreaming slave. This guy is a criminal who just betrayed his oath. Nowhere in our constitution does the federal government have the right to socialize health care.

What was the first thing he did at the mic? Apologized for supporting abortion because he knows that it (and this bill) are just mechanisms of the modern eugenics agenda.

You can try and lionize a murderous traitor all you want, it doesn't matter. His ass is toast in the next election ,and he knows it.

  • a reasonable republican? no wonder ive never heard of this guy...

not that you cant be reasonable and be opposed to health care reform. Most in the GOP are rational...but corrupt. And that forces usually rational people to take unreasonable positions...

I have a feeling though that Rep. Cao and I disagree on a lot of stuff...but a least he is reasonable opposition.

We wont always share votes...but we need more republicans like him...or none at all.

  • Chromacopy, you need to get an education. Your grammar and spelling are atrocious. You also need to educate yourself on the Issues. You do not know the definition of socialism.

  • Chromacopy is a socialist operative working for the insurance/pharma/military/bankers interests. He is insultingly pretending to be a dumb southern republican and is posting nonsense to further his bosshog's agenda of fascism. He is a prep school handball playing campari sipping blue blood, who is so inbred his blood is pink, and he could never survive on his own skill or provide for his family if times were tough.(Picture Lindsay Graham or Chris Dodd).

  • a Vietnamese-American CNN news anchor interviews a Vietnamese-American Congressman...epic...

  • Unfortunately you know that fat piece of s**t Rush Limbaugh is going to destroy Ahn Cao on his radio show.

  • Smart Asian guy. :)

  • Chroma are you being paid well for your "work" as an internet operative on behalf of the fascists? Your pitiful attempts to deter the reader from the truth are ineffective. At least the Stasi and Goebbels guys were good at spreading disinformation. You, sir , are an amateur.

  • Search> Why I Voted NO

Dennis Kucinich | This health care bill continues the redistribution of wealth to Wall Street.

  • Corea and usa is in opposite situation. Corean president strangely want to make government insurance private owned insurance and corean people are strongly against it and american president resonably want to make private insurance government owned insurance and american people are strongly against it. lol

  • I don't see the big problem with free health care. Canada, France, UK has it... :\

  • A curious thing-- the House bill says it'll charge us $1,500/yr if we don't have insurance OR 5 years in Prison.

The constitution strictly forbids such a type of "incentive". There is no incentive like it anywhere in our society. I think those who voted for this went against their own Oath. They were to uphold the constitution, not trample on it.

  • in the intardweb, everyone is an expert on the constitution so it's easy to see why we need congress. experts can't do anything.

  • I would vote for Cao if I lived in his district.

  • Woot for Cao...having balls to go against the insurance companies!!

  • Yes a republican that doesn't use his balls to cheat on his wife...

  • when I had no job, I wanted government health insurance that obama suggested, but I will have job that will pay me 10k dollars a year after 7months and provide me with company health insurance and now I don't want goverment health insurance reform. Am I too selfish???

  • He seems to be a pretty reasonable guy...

    how unusual :-D

  • ya very cool but unusual coming from that side

  • Whoop Whoop, traitor alert, traitor alert, whoop whoop.

Well maybe he's not a traitor, he doesn't even sound American.

  • He voted after the Democrats had gotten enough votes to pass the bill

  • he must have gotten a big bribe from someone!

  • I have observed that in America people give more emphasis to the size of the dick but not the balls. Essentially, it seems close to 99.99% of men have no balls. It's always refreshing to see someone like Cao with balls.

  • Cao wsa elected on a fluke . The former Rep was Dollar Bill Jefferson, convicted felon , and he would have been re-elected had the election been held on the usual day, when the Presidential election was held. A hurricane delayed the primary, which pushed the lection back to a month after the election of Herr Obama, and the Dem voters did not come out for Dollar Bill, so Cao was elected by a minutae of voters and will be trounced next time around, no matter how much he panders. He is a disgrace.

  • Listening to Cao, I got the feeling that Obama held post-Katrina support of his district over his head like a black cloud ... like his vote was extorted.

  • Obama is full of bull and Cao was stupid enough to sell his soul for prmises of access, without even getting the levees for New Orleans. He is a disgrace and ineffective as well.

New Orleans should secede and sell our oil and gas to this dying socialist hellhole of a country.

  • Republicans don't want their congressman to think about their constituents first. Its always party first and the people who voted you in second. I wish libertarians were the other party so that we have a choice that actually constrasts from the Dems.

  • All I want is the right to be left alone as my Constitution gaurantees, a document Pelosi , and most of our so called reps, laugh at.

Since we are now under the thumb of warmongering socialists of both parties, who have violated their oaths to uphold the Constitution, I want to dissove the government and start over with a constitutional government, and those who have formed this new Amerika can keep it. I want out.

  • Now What will Doctors do for thear Car Payments? Maybe drive a less expincive car?

  • Republicans come up with the greatest obnoxious bullshit. They also keep talking about morality, something that they lack as if the more they repeat it, people will believe them.

Tom price: 'This bill is an affront on the morality of the provision of American healthcare. As a physician, when patients, and their families, and their doctors are not allowed to independently decide what care should be provided, we lose more than our healthcare system. We lose our morality and our freedom.'

  • Liberals are the remoras of modern society. They refuse to contribute, but expect to be fed by the scraps of the ones doing the real work. I want to say that liberals could survive on their own, but they can't. They literally are a class with too much education, not enough guts. No muscle to create on their own. Without Conservative values, America would be nothing but a dirty hippie pit of filthy liberals too stupid and lazy to survive. I think then, they would finally see things our way.

  • America needs this. Seriously, even because of the looming obescity epidemic. In UK, the NHS national health serv covers everyone. It'll do more good then harm in the long run. Just a thought

  • The governent loves you and will have you slim in no time. After all, if the government did not "help" you with the obesity "epidemeic" what would you do? Personally, I get up every day and wait for the government that loves me to tie my shoes, feed me , dress me, employ me and tell me what to think. That's how it should be , because government knows best and my government loves me.

  • many liberals/democrats are self sufficient and smart. they are the ones powering American industries (ask how many in Googles are conservatives). Clearly they know they need to tie their own shoes and a lot more. The conservative right in rural areas can also tie their shoes but other than that, not a lot more.

  • The "liberals" to whom you refer are indeed smart. They created and groomed their guy Obama to do their bidding. They are all classic Mussolini fascists, having brilliantly & sucessfullly merged their corporations with government, at the taxpayer's expense. See: AIG, Goldmansachs, GM; etc Google is a government contractor. They get the money or bailouts, and we pay the bills. Wake up, man. It is classic fascism.

    And American "industry"? Please.

  • Comment removed

  • as extream fascism is wrong, extream capitalism is wrong too. okay? america is the one of the countries that run extream capitalism. extream communism=extream capitalism.

  • Jesus christ kid don't post debating people if you can't spell. Corea? Extream? "Extreme capitalism" means people have to rely on their intellect and hard work to get by, while "extreme fascism", even though fascism is extreme alone, would mean you have no control over your life in any sense whatsoever.

  • lol It's spelled corea in italian. there are fascism and capitalism in every coutries whether you know it or not. extremist is always wrong. important thing is how can you draw the line on the middle. think american. as I see from americans, american people are so brainwashed just like north corean.

  • very eloquent. I admire your insightful love affair with the gov't. But it's a relationship i'm afraid i'll stay away from.

    Good luck!

  • CAO was bought off. HE IS A TRAITOR AND A DEMOCRAT IN REPUBLICAN CLOTHES

  • a true jesuit communist

  • Actually, he is too ineffective to even get a payment for this betrayal. At least if we were going to get the levee protection mandated in 1965 I could understand it. But nothing..We need levees because the feds steal our oil and gas, wreck our caost, and take all the royalties. We rae slaves on the US energy plantationand are sick of it. Cao is a fool and a disgrace.

  • We need more Congressmen like Cao.

People before politics... I like it.

  • At 4:29 - this tells us all we need to know about this man. He says "even though those decisions were unpopular in my district, it was the right decision for the district." So even though the people WHO PAY HIS SALARY did not want it, Mr. Cao could have cared less. What a jackass!

  • @Sinead522 we're a Republic, not a Democracy. Madison wanted this, not Jefferson. Your representative votes based on what he thinks is best for his/her constituency. Go back to grade school and relearn the basics of American government.

  • Politics is so stupid.

  • awesome

  • lol XD

  • Cao the coward probably got threatend and intimidated by MaoBama and Piglosi....he caved. Thanks Mr. Coward, turncoat traitor.

  • i hope he doesn't get assassinated for this

  • @sangboi

Is he even prominent enough for it to be considered an "Assassination"????

  • Orlan54

Which other country would you rather live in?

Dumber than a bag of rocks.

  • When I've lived in every country on Earth I'll tell you. Do you think that I have to automatically believe every aspect of American life and policy is superior because I'm an American?

  • He is selling out this country as well as all of the other liberal "thinkers".

Anyone who thinks this health care fiasco is going to save money and insure more people needs to stop drinking the kool aid. It's liberal math at it's finest.

  • If Hitler came back a republican they would vote for him.

  • Obama is promoting a similar agenda to Hitler and you elected him. We have the perfect marriage of corporate interests with government, and Obama is their Chosen One, promoting bailouts for banks, not people; Obamacare for insurance companies and Big Pharma; immunity for telecoms that spied illegally on Americans. It's called corporate welfare or fascism, and it's bipartisan. It is advancing with ease with a Slick salesman & a DUMB POPULACE. Check out Naomi Wolfe, a liberal, regarding fascism.

  • Bailouts for banks, not people?

Saving a bank, directly saves a lot of people. More then when you try to save every single person in the US, as that is impossible. When a bank falls, all their clients lose their money and that is a real problem.

    Just wanted to add that.

  • Seriously are you for real? Please . That is sad. Try reading anything at all about fractional reserve banking, the Federal Reserve Bank, and fiat currency. We are in the trouble we are in because of the uneducated citizens of this country who believe anything a good speaker on their "team" tells them. Meanwhile, the teams are really both part of the same system. God help us.

  • I do know what it means. And i blame the banks for doing all the things they should not have done. Bailing out such banks seems not fair, but it is even more unfair to let their clients lose their money. You can not educate me on this subject, i spend 6 years in university to learn about this. So do not even try to correct me.

Fractional reserve banking is not what banks did. They spend more then they should have. But still, if the banks fall, the entire financial system falls with them.

  • ?Of course the banks engaged in fractional reserve banking, which means for every $100 on deposit they can lend $1000 (that they don't have) In addition, banksspeculated in the market, collected huge salaries, and were leveraged out. The system WILL fail, it has merely been postponed and WE will pay not them. It would have been better to deal with it now, rather than letting the Fed print worthless money. All I can say is that in 1910 a 20 dollar gold peice and20 dollar bill were EQUAL. WHY?

  • That was in 1920.... Many things changed, like the free market. I don't believe in a perfect system, but you're simply saying that the current system will fail. You could be right, you could be wrong. Point is, you can't know what's coming. Things need to be changed, that's obvious, but how, that's the correct question to ask yourself. I don't have an answer for that. We'll see what the future brings us.

  • This guy is my hero. A true republican and a real American.

  • This guys states over and over that he did what is best for the people that he represents. This is his job, to help those who he was elected to represent. It is true that for some people this may not be the best thing, but that is for their representative to vote, not this Anh Cao. Our system works because everyone has a representative, not because everyone throws together with party favor.

  • Cao is the only Republican with conscience. The rest of Republicans will sell their mothers and daughters for a profit.

  • HAHAHA love it.

  • lolol hahaha

  • yo guy, don't say shit about people born outside america when you can't speak proper english

  • what the heck is this guy, he is voting every other bill the Obama administration has put forward; Cap and Trade bill, Health Care reform bill, etc. this guy has no backbone.

Shame on you Louisiana for voting this joker.

  • yea asian guy for the win

  • Look i see people so upset about this bill, but the funny thing is i don't believe any of you took the time to read it. Believe it or not this bill helps all Americans. Look don't knock it until you read it.

  • Comment removed

  • the senate will chop it up they will pass it because its part of the new world order agenda just read white house memorandum 200 henry Kissinger will explain it to you you can stop it by getting obama to sign executive order 11110 that Kennedy wrote all this crap will be over

  • Your high school English teacher's must have cried whenever you turned something in. Have you ever heard of punctuation?

I could just ignore you seeing as how you're clearly insane, but I'll at least point out that there's almost no chance that you'll be able to manage subsistence farming properly. That, and there's no evidence that any major banks are currently in a position to go under anymore. Nor did I mention AARP anywhere.

  • cao if you see this tell your homie obama to watch alex jones fall of the republic dvd its all about him lol
