  • Just played first level on my CD32. Framerate makes game almost unplayable. This is with expansion or played thru Emulator?

  • Hamburger killer :)

  • no slo mo

  • There is something really fucked up about this game

  • the level editor for this game was quite good...

  • Hey, its DOOM! lol

  • @VAR1UM Kind of sounds like Duke Nukem...

  • @ChrisSmithVideosTV though...

  • how did you run this at such a good frame rate? Did you use the SX32 expansion on the CD32 and up its processor to 030 25mhz?

  • Iwas really scared as a child of it XDDD

  • How is it possible to have 3 lives in a game like this? Hahaha.

  • @SegaFan2583 very good, captain obvious.

  • Wow, This really isn't that bad! It reminds me a lot of the Sega Saturn for some reason. I would love to own an Amiga CD32 if i could find one!

  • talk about "doom clone"... actually dont

  • this it just doom

  • This is faster than the other CD32 Fears gameplay vids...but is still full screen. Is this running on a 3mb or higher CD32 with FAST RAM then? (which doubles the effective speed of the CPU on the CD32)

  • amiga cd 32 estaba echa mas que todo para la potencia grafica de 2d no estaba muy bien preparada para el 3d..

aunque para la epoca era algo asombroso

  • Considering the 14 mhz cpu of the cd32 it's pretty good game...it's just that amiga machines has never been good for this king of games, so this one is OK.

  • So, is this game really taking advantage of the CD32 hardware, or is it one of those games for the older AMIGA that they ported to CD32 and added CD music, etc?

  • I would say Doom on the 32X looks better than this. Same with Wolfenstein on a 486 PC using DOS.

  • 4:29 Just look at that amazingly convincing stab animation! NOT! Help! I'm being attacked by plastic mutant doll's heads!

  • And the enemies are looking really silly.

  • This double barrel shotgun has nothing to do with the one from Doom. The Doom d-b shotgun could kill anything with a few shots - and a demon with just one shot.

  • shotgun shots like a gun...

  • Great example of what can be done, if you just have time to understand the platform you code on.

  • I don't know. Doom on the SNES is more impressive to me.

  • Doom on the SNES can't even render textures properly.

  • I agree that SNES Doom is very impressive for the platform its on, but lets remember that it uses the Super FX2 chip. SNES by itself wouldnt even come close to this. SNES Wolfestein 3D anyone?

  • @Tanner874

Doom on the SNES has to use the SuperFX chip and basically pump the screen update as a silly slideshow back to the Piece of Shit 8bit CPU on the SNES just for screen display and nothing else...yeah the SNES was fantastic wasn't it...LOL (stick to your baby nintendo games mate and leave comments to experts)

  • I prefer Sega to Nintendo thank you very much. In fact I'm more intrigued with 3DO.

  • @MadCommodore

So much bullshit in a single comment for a expert lol

  • @smilooXL shut your mouth.

  • @smilooXL

Crippled 8bit CPU @ 3mhz which was so pathetic EVEN PILOTWINGS needed a DSP to help with making full usage of the built in custom graphics chips. Yes mate the SNES was so advanced they had to SHRINK the sprites of 80s arcade games to make them work without slowdown LOL

I've seen more impressive shootemups on a Commodore C64 from 1982 @ all the SNES gaylords butting into this Commodore games video ;o)

  • @MadCommodore Hmm yeah, so whilst i was playing the brilliant Donkey Kong Country 2 and Yoshis Island you were tossing off to unplayable and just downright dull doom knock offs. Cute.

I like the amiga but christ the fanboys aren't half full of shit...

  • @madcapoperator Best comment ever made on YouTube!

    Sir, I salute you! :-D

  • @gary69gay *saluts back*

    lol thanks

  • @madcapoperator

No mate, I was playing superior games to those gay childish SLOW games for kids, the only game I bought for my SNES was SSF2 Turbo thanks. You probably couldn't even jerk off mate hence the childish crap you mention. When you grow up try something for adults like erm...SEGA consoles. Sandals and bib NOT required for SEGA membership MATE lol

  • @MadCommodore Lol using the whole 'nintendo is for kids' argument instantly makes you look like a bit of a moron right out of the gate. As for gamesmaster slamming those games I mentioned so what? My argument is that the SNES was better than the Amiga in 1995. All the amiga had at that time really worthy of mention was sensible world of soccer.

  • @madcapoperator There were over 5000 games published for the Amiga, but only 1 was really worthy of mention? You can't be serious.

  • @RJLeffmann oh of course not, i meant released around 1995 and i was wrong about Sensi world of soccer being launched that year that was 1994.

  • @madcapoperator Do you mean the line of games released in 1995 on the SNES where better than the Amiga's ? and about DKC2,the Amiga already had a game ray-tracing in 1993 Stardust and the tunnel scene

already looks more impressive than DKC2 and im pretty sure that the graphics design in DKC was inspired by that game.

The Amiga & SNES are both Awesome however stating that the SNES games were better and more technologically advanced is incorrect.

  • @janmansde3dede they weren't more technologically advanced but they were better. still I love amiga to death mostly because it was my forst introduction to gaming.

  • @drunkensailor112 BETTER ?, dude whether you prefer Mario or Turrican makes it not a fact that either one really is a better game,

it only a opinion, which I meant with "stating that the SNES games were BETTER and more technologically advanced is incorrect".

  • @janmansde3dede turrican was also on the snes.

  • @drunkensailor112 Oh, forgot :) but the best Turrican games are considered by most Turrican fans and in general gamers to be on Amiga,

Super Turrican is really nice (much better than Turrican 3 on Amiga) but it has smaller levels compared T1&2

ST2 is a huge disappointment... because of its very linear levels.

  • I ask you specificially, what games were you playing around the time of DKC2 and Fears then? Were you gearing up to get a new fanged 32 bit games console or playing with the scrag ends of the amiga market at the time? ;)

As for spunk stained gaming mags I was a reader of Amiga Power, Official Playstation magazine and Super Play so any attempt to consider my choice in gaming mags as being 'babyish' and 'spunk stained' (what relevance the latter even has) is bullshit. Your the fanboy here ;)~

  • @madcapoperator

Super Play was for babies and peado anime lovers. I rest my case...you're an idiot as Dr House would say.

    End of line.

  • @madcapoperator

PS Gamesmaster even slammed Yoshi and Donkey Kong Country 2 as being old technology and for losers ON NATIONAL TV ;o) Stick to your spunk stained baby games mags lol.
