Italy has higher corporate taxes than Japan, Germany is up there as well as France, Canada, Belguim, even Brazil has higher corporate tax rates, there's only a few industrialized nations who have lower corporate tax rates. So you're saying that being able to pay your workers meager wages in countries with less work safety regalations has nothing to do with exporting of jobs?

This is all we need, to hope for stuff, then we don't need to do anything, just hope. What would be a good change is if we just hope for everyone to take care of everyone then the change will be that hopefully we don't have to work, just hope that big-brother will change and support everyone, hopefully.

The republican, Lincoln, fought against slavery. The people he was fighting were the democrats of the south. Republicans seated there first black representative in the 1870's, Democrats didn't seat a black person until 1936. It was Eisenhower(Rep) who made the first civil rights legislation. He also supported board vs brown and democrats opposed letting black kids go to school with whites. The person who created the KKK was a democrat and he made it to fight against blacks and republicans.

Yes Lincoln did fight against slavery but passed the proclamation in states he didn't have power over at the time. Lincoln would have forgiven the southern states we never know what would have happened if he wasn't shot. The republicans seated a lot of blacks in the era and then were given a choice. Stick with the blacks or stick with big business. They went with big business and left the blacks behind. Then many former dems became republicans during the southern strategy.

It's there - more like at .17 When the words HIGHER TAXES appear at the bottom of the screen, look at the very top mid-right. LARGE red white and blue letters held by four seperate people. The E is out of the frame on the right and the C is mysteriously (?) blackened out on the left. Change becomes HANG. The media here in the midwest have seen it and are starting to question it. Take another look.

Most companies don't pay income taxes. They move overseas not because of taxes but because they can pay their workers cheap wages, don't have to have pensions and benefits for employees and can have less regulation on workplace safety. Obama is only talking about raising taxes on the higher income brackets while 95% of americans would get tax breaks. Yeah and never before in history has a nation cut taxes while going to war. It makes no sense. Borrow and spend economics dont work

As for my adoption plans. I am on a five year waiting list to adopt a child of ANY race. I'm lucky. Most states the average wait is 7 years. I could go overseas to adopt like Madona had to but I can't afford it.

McCain once upon a time believed that we would need to raise taxes and was against tax cuts. There's only so long you can keep tax cuts up before you have no other choice but to raise taxes look at Reagan he had to, so did Bush Sr. The economy recovered when taxes were raised and tanked when they were cut.

Out of isolated polls yes. But honestly I stopped caring who will win, McCain only fails in three areas which is an improvement from Bush but concerning his "elite status" he is fighting an uphill battle. That's what I was trying to point out.
Anyway I don't think he's right for the job. Reaganomics simply don't work unless you want an extra $200 Billion deficit and a thriving upper class and that's what McCain is proposing.

-Cheney's FIVE deferments included 4 for being a college student(just like every other male college student of the time) and 1 for being a new father (also very common)
-I assume you've been accepted to West Point (not an easy thing to do) if you're making this judgement.

I second what TAPS711 said. I am British and moved to the US to marry my wife. Socialism is exactly what Obama is offering. He says he is for the middle class but if you look closely he will raise taxes and give back a tax credit which is worth less than what he takes. The same was done in the UK by the left and it is a con. The USA is a great place to live if you have a skill or talent and your prepared to use it. Don't let the communist Obama ruin it...

If you've ever been to the South-Eastern part of the United States it becomes all too clear.
The Republicans are fighting an uphill battle. They're trying to paint Obama as an elitist who grew up in the "cultural and economic powerhouse" that is the state of Kansas while disregarding John McCains seven houses. Then they use his P.O.W. status to downplay his lackluster military support (The Iraq Afghanistan War Veterans gave him a D- rating, Obama received a B+ as did Biden.).

With the war coming to an end, and these tax increases only for the wealthy, it will fund all of Obama's plans in his days in office.

That's the general assumption, which is entirely incorrect. Firing employees and lowering wages won't do anything but help your bottom line, which is meant to expand business, where you will once again have to hire employees and raise wages of the experienced ones. It's simply very, very poor management to downsize your business to make more money. A business man's goal is to make better business and expand, you take your rewards and cash in when all expenses are accounted for.

Not entirely correct. Right now the tax rates are lower and a majority of the big companies in the US don't even pay any income taxes. While they are paying lower taxes they've cut wages, let go of pensions and shipped jobs overseas. Its those who make more money that usually are the ones to find loopholes and use tax shelters to get out of paying taxes on their income and also spend their money overseas while the average american ends up paying the taxman

Except for Japan, the U.S. has the highest corporate tax rates among the industrialized countries. Exporting jobs (or foreign countries refusing to open plants in the U.S.) to lower tax rate countries is the inevitable result.

Italy has higher corporate taxes than Japan, Germany is up there as well as France, Canada, Belguim, even Brazil has higher corporate tax rates, there's only a few industrialized nations who have lower corporate tax rates. So you're saying that being able to pay your workers meager wages in countries with less work safety regalations has nothing to do with exporting of jobs?
