@ohrightjames so you mean you used installous/jailbreak apps to get it? you'll have to use a different software like appsync on cydia. if you mean you got paid apps from someone else but didnt buy it then im pretty sure itll prompt you to enter the person you got it from's itunes ID and password. at least thats what happened to me

@xMrin10se you using iTunes for this? because I don't think transferring jailbroken apps works too well with iTunes... I think it has something to do with the version of your iTunes and the version of your iPhone too. My device was running 3.1.3 a few months ago and i backed up my JB apps using AptBackup on Cydia, if ur on the same version you should try it... now im on 4.2.1 and i dont know what you're supposed to use to backup :P

For me when I updated my iPod to OS 4.2.1 I lost all my apps (mine is jailbroken) but when i redownloaded the app,the memory was still there (eg. highscores for doodle jump, achievements for fruit ninja, etc) however on my friend's ipod, he did the same thing but lost all his save data. he used a different software to jailbreak.. i used greenpois0n, i think he used sn0wbreeze.

I get this cos' recently I updated my jailbroken iPhone to 4.2.1 OS from 3.1.3, and when I re-jailbroke, I lost all my apps that hadn't been backed up- but when I redownloaded it, the save data was still there.

@Tylersteven1268 if youre meaning that you downloaded stuff on your iphone and want to get it to itunes, then all you have to do is plug it in and let it sync. if it doesnt do it automatically, just click your iPhone on the left hand side of itunes and click the "sync" button. hope this helps :P
