hi bro ....nice mod...ive thinking to do that ...but was thinking to add a gpu cooler heatsink....anyway what are the dimensions for the screw length for the gpu cooler will fit ??
@dreamyear No it is not. The problem is leadfree solder. The solder connections get brittle and break, that is why heating the whole thing up is a hit & miss fix. Sometimes it works most times it doesnt. Suckrosoft screwed this one up bad.
@Mutrino I am not the fan of such a mod and you are right with the leadfree solder issue. But by cooling the chips efficiently, you can prevent keeping the solderballs under extreme stress (no high temperature, almost no cooling down and warming up) and therefore the solder joints hopefully dont break.
So: The author`s mod makes sense, but it is complicated and you have to put the dvd drive out of the case.I prefer the 12V fan mod and an improved wind tunnel.
The 360 look so difference, and more compact with its hardware, I shall never forget the "Cell 6 core" processor. Matching much closer to the power of our brain, this way a better control. (our mind)
I want to buy a x360 and ps3 and wii!!!! with all the fancy stuff.
