If they'd had a MK2 MR2 turbo or not, it would've been 4-1 victory Clarkson. I wish they'd do this again with different cars. Do like a 308 vs 355 or 360 sans paddle shifters, because the paddle shifters would give the modern car to much of a advantage. Or Audi Quattro vs a S4. Or do a Porsche 2.7 Carrera RS vs a Boxster. How about a MGB vs a MK1 Miata.

@michaelfergusonuk If they replaced the mk1 MR2 with a mk2 MR2 turbo, 4-1 to Clarkson. But I much prefer older cars. Much easier to maintain and have more soul to them. Modern cars are all starting to look the same. I've got a Mk1 and Mk2 Golf atm

@Firminator128 Does depend though on how she's tuned & fitted out though, her V16 Engine has more potential power after all when stretched to the Maximum.

In my view they need to have a race to settle the matter once & for all, after all they are both Beautifull & Impressive Cars that should to be Driven & Raced, not just molecoddled (although i admit if i had one i'd be very protective & weary of using it too hard i suspect ).

I'll never forget seeing my first Countach LP500-S thats for sure ;)
