my only disagreement is that i dont see it as a birth defect. i believe there has never been anything wrong with me and that this is a spiritual process that we sign on for intentionally.
@aelius93 - I have also sometimes wondered if maybe I chose this life before I was born, perhaps as a way to learn difficult lessons I might not have been able to learn any other way. In that sense, a female-structured brain in a male body could be seen as a choice instead of a defect. It could also be seen as a difference, like being born left-handed. However, when the hatred and bigotry come raining down, sometimes it's hard to see it as anything other than a defect.
our wiring is all together different from one another. the sad part is the self medicating the happy part is that you made it through that period. I myself am a hybrid of the gender world and really excepted this reality which was a monster step.
@StigTube06 - I apologize for the rather abusive earlier comment I just deleted. I realize that you do not know any better, that you have been taught to fear and hate that which you do not understand. Either that or you are deeply unhappy and you think that attacking someone else will make you feel better. (It wont; watch my "Haters" vlog.) I hope you feel better about yourself soon. Happy holidays and peace be with you.
@heartsforhearts123 - Where did you get the idea that I like men? You should try watching the video more closely (if you did at all). I was married and now I'm a lesbian. Where does an anonymous hater like you get off using a name like "heartsforhearts" because you don't seem to have one. However "ugly" I am — I'm a fashion model next to your soul.
P.S. I made my "Why do the Haters Hate So Much?" vlog just for people like you.
You are truly an inspiration! I might not choose to follow the same path as you (I am straight all the way) but I admire and accept you and I truly don't understand why some people can't. I get that it is religious but some of it is downright irrational hatred, which is senseless, in my opinion. All power to ya! You're amazing! :)
@blahblahblaaful - Another coward hiding behind a screen name and a fake avatar, slinging insults. Your comment says far more about you than it does me. Does it really make you feel better about yourself or do you have to call someone else a name ten minutes later? It has to be such a bitch trying to prop up your shaky self-esteem like that.
BTW, thanks for helping illustrate the kind of hatred transgender people face on a daily basis. You're actually doing a public service! Have a nice day!
You are beautiful, intellegent and strong. I think It's beautiful when people accept who they are. Yes, I am religious and honestly I believe God loves everyone.
I don't know you but I'm still going to say this: I'm proud of you for you being you.
@GamestLink - Thank you for your comment. I never could understand why anyone would think that God must think in human terms, that is conservative or bigoted. We are both proof that people can believe in God and still accept people for who they are.
@gvnncasti66 Just me and my two kitties, which is how I want it for now. Waaaaaay too busy to juggle my dayjob, my writing, my new publishing company *and* a relationship!
By the by... your boobs are totally out there, lol. How 'bout wearing a bra? And you're an ex-transexual, AKA, a lady, just call yourself that, if you've had your Gender Reassignment Surgery. =) Cheers!
@Zeanu - you are perfectly free to create and upload your own videos, and I for one promise I will not tell you how you should dress or self-identify. I'm not ashamed of being a transsexual woman nor do I wish to conceal that from anybody.
@christineglamazon Hmmm? Oh no no, honey, I'm not telling you what you have to do or shouldn't, just saying, feel proud of calling yourself a woman. I think I misphrased or you misunderstood, it's alright!
I like the part of Taxpaying citizen! President Kennedy said "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country! She is a lot better than a lot of the moocher class in society! Congratulations!!!
@christineglamazon I am too 20 years AF! Understand the situation. People think it's straight heterosexual sex but human behavior mimics the animal kingdom plus you have various sexual deviations like XXX and XXY where you pick up an extra chromosone! Of course that's the extreme! My neighbors son growing up did not fully develop so the little boy had major problems. Education is the key!
@peatea98 - Thanks for you intelligent and gracious comments. Consider subscribing and friending me so that I won't need to approve future comments, should you be so inclined. :-)
Christine your truly are an amazing person. i just love your video, especially the subtitles. They are so appropriate. I just have to say, i love you.
you are looking great and hope you also must be feeling on the top of the world, i appreciate your courage and using the real freedom. Be a honest and good human being, do good work for society and in your liked profession, you are very intelligent person, do not care what other people say. First phisical mile stone you have achieved with lot difficulties, but continue to Explore more within yourself. im not a transgender person but love you. GOD bless you.
RIGHT ON SISTER!!MY NAME IS JUSTINE FROM AUSTRALIA AND YES GIRL, I AM ALSO A TRANSGENDERED/HERMAPHRODITE LADY, PRE-OP UNFORTUNATELY, I AM AWAITING SRS.KEEP GOING AND GOD BLESS YOU SISTER.LOVE JUSTINE.V.XOX.
I love Transexuals, and I think you are gorgeous. It would be a pleasure to chat with you someday. Please e-mail me , because I am not afraid to say that I prefer TS Girls. phonziano@yahoo.com
I found it interesting that my dad got upset about the idea "my privates getting lopped off" (his idea of a sex-change operation) back during the period (about a few months) in which I was a bit trans-curious, but didn't mind a small chunk of my skull getting lopped off (for a cochlear implant). (My trans-curiosity never really got off the ground, as I discovered other interests.) Parents are weird, lol.
@7beers - I program mostly in mainframe COBOL, though I'm starting to do more in Java. In the past I've also programmed in C++, BASIC and Assembler. Plus I do my own Javascript, PHP and HTML work on my website.
@christineglamazon Damn that youtube! Anyway, here's a question: are you in touch with others who have had the process you've had? Do you have meetings and a support group?
@7beers - yes, in touch with many all across the country and a few overseas. I don't go to meetings or support groups, not for a long time, but I know they're out there. Check the Transgender Information section of my website (glamazon.net) for more answers that you may ever thought to ask questions for!
Your real name is Chris, you had breast implants and grew your hair long to try and look like a woman. If you like women so much, dont become one, find a girlfreind and get married.
@777dingo - try watching the video, moron. If you *had* watched you'd know I've already been married and that didn't make me a man, so your suggestion is a worthless one. What a shocker. P.S. I did a hell of a lot more than grow my hair and get breast implants.
@lawman840 - whey the hell would I want to change back when I'm happier than I've ever been in my life? Now, maybe you like your women with penises, and that's fine if you do, but there are plenty of "shemales" out there who'd be happy to let you go down on them (or whatever it is you like) if that's what knocks your socks off. Looking at your comment history on other TS women's videos you clearly are obsessed with us.
Christine, I so understand your message and I am sure you are intelligent enough to figure out what that means. I just wanted to share with you a bit of information that really pulled back the curtain for me about transsexual feelings, lifestyle or whatever. There is a book out by Dr. Gerald Callahan called, " Between XX and XY". I believe Dr. Callahan has the right idea about gender. You should read it if you haven't. It is quite eyeopening.
When will humans ever learn that they have no real authority over other people? Whether I believe that transexuals should die in fire (which I certainly do not) or they should all live perfectly normal lives (which I most certainly do) has no bearing and never should on what you believe about yourself. Hope is the fuel that progresses humanity, each and every one of us. Fear and the need to be conforming hinders us all and denies humanity of its true value.
Wow, Great video!!!! Many props to you on your success in life!!! You speak the truth!!! Why is it the GLBT community not allowed the same rights as every other american? We can't donate blood, can't marry, and in most cases, can't adopt a foster child. It's wrong that our own president won't do anything to help. It's an equal rights issue!!!
Good luck to you, well done for the video you may have helped lots of people. I am sure you do already, ignore the ignorant arrogant, uneducated pratts that comment negatively.
@Thebrujo1986 - Anyone who regularly goes out of his way to bash transsexual people (as you do) clearly has underlying issues. In my 26 years as a transwoman I've noticed because it's usually those who are conflicted about their deepseated attraction to us. I hate to break it to you, but insulting us is not going to make your secret desire go away. Have a good life...
My reasons for critizicing transsexuals is because you are part of a liberal movement that has been corrupting humanity, good values are being lost. Men are becomming more like women and women are becomming more like men. Sick to say the least. We need more conservative leaders and conservative laws. Laws where gay marriages are forbidden, where transsexualism is forbidden and so on.
@Thebrujo1986 I guess you'd be happiest in a world where we all Sieg Heiled and wore swastika armbands, but fortunately we live in a country where diversity is more or less protected. If you want to live in a place with the strict moral code you desire, I suggest Iran or Saudi Arabia. They are just as socially conservative as you are. Here in the USA we protect our freedoms, and I did not honorably serve my country for four years so bigots could take away people's freedoms.
i appreciate the video, helping the world understand transsexuals, and transgenders, and im very happy for you since you are now living a happy life. except one thing i found offensive is how you called God "the God of hatred" or whatever it was. if you would like to speak out for the others in your community, more power to you, except please find a way to do so in a more respectful manner to all people.
@TheMarioiZChamp watch it again. It first says "I believe in God" and then it says "but not the hateful God you believe in." Perhaps I should change it to "not the hateful God many believe in." Many people who say they believe in God claim that God hates gay and transgender people. That is who I'm talking about.
@christineglamazon re: the MarioiZChamp comment of 5 months ago, What about the Flying Spaghetti Monster? :-)
I, for one, am NOT a member of the Westboro Baptist Church (which is not only anti-gay and transgender but also anti-Semitic and anti-USA, apparently).
I cant understand why people like you so intensivly demonstrate their orientation or transgender? Woman you or man or transsexual, just live quiet and dont be so agressyve with your advertising of yourself for the whole world. I wouldnt like my children watch this kind of video advertisment about sexual looking woman, which telling that she is transexual. This is ubnormal to advertise such things. Sorry
@AelinDance So you think I should just live with people's ignorance about transsexual people instead of trying to educate them? Sorry but our lives are at stake. We are beaten and killed just for being who we are. Of all the sexual videos on youtube and in music videos, why do you come after mine?
Many people consider belly dancing (which you like) to be aggressive and sexual. Do you expose your children to that? Ask yourself what would you do if your child became like me, tell her to hide?
No, but it is a Kramer neck strapped onto a custom body, a hybrid made out of heavy wet maple that looks like a cross between a Warlock and a Strat. And it has a Seymour-Duncan PU and a real Floyd Rose (not a licensed Rose copy). I call it a Warcaster.
There are pictures of it on my myspace profile, just got to my glamazon(.)net website and look for the link to myspace. (You may need to add me to see the photos.)
OMG, she's a sinner!!! j/k,lol. You're great, & VERY pretty. I'm glad you're happy now. Life is too short to be unhappy. P.S. If you worship a god that hates, you're worshipping the WRONG god! Stay safe Christine, & god bless.
Yes Christine you are right, we all do get to care about different things. And I guess that I do care about all the things that you say here. And I am glad that you decided to be a woman rather than kill yourself. That would really have been a bad thing to do. Death sucks. But having said that, I really do like those sweet titties.
Well, thank you for the thumbsupon my boobs. The thing about this great big, wonderful world is we all get to care about different stuff and be right. You care about my breasts; others care about I have to say about all that stuff. It's all good!
aaah you are awesome! have you ever considered adding 'motivational speaker' to you already expansive resume? you could do so much to educate people about gender, transsexuality, success...
you seem to have it all together, and having done so with all the hate and doubt being sent your way speaks volumes of your strength and character. keep being your beautiful self!
LOL (not at you), Leigh. You know, that wouldn't be a bad idea. However I will need at least one bestseller or a Masters degree to my credit before I get too many invites for that, but considering my lead singer experience, I certainly have the temporment for it!
I know this girl who was a lesbian, and she had a lesbian girlfriend, they both liked girls, but then they both got sex changes and became gay men..does that makes any sense?
Apparently it made sense to them! Whenever I try to figure out other human beings I try to keep in mind with Mike Muir (of the band Suicidal Tendencies) once said: "Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it doesn't make any sense."
Mike also said: "Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it isn't any good." Smart dude.
That's a common misconception that you'd have learned otherwise, had you paid attention to the video. First, I'm sexually and romantically attracted to other women. I was married a year and a half and have only been in serious relationships with women. Second, my brain *is* a girl's brain. Watch the video and research the links over on the right. The world is not as cut and dried as you'd lie it to be.
OMG you are HOT!!! I only date MTF t girls....you are the most attractive and intelligent woman I have ever seen!!!! I would love to communicate with you!!!!!
I love this video. You are very interesting and inspiring. I'm glad you have found your way and are happy. You keep doing what makes you happy and forget the haters. :)
Bless you and I hope you continue to prosper successfully. I wish you the best and hope your life improves with every passing month & year. you are a beautiful person and have a lovely soul
You are absolutily beautiful...i can see just looking at you and the way that you express yourself You are a very inteligent person...so why did you allow ignorant people hurt your feeling?
Anyway people live the way they want as long as they are happy...good luck 2 you.
Back then I allowed them to hurt my feelings because I was very insecure. Now I mostly feel sorry for the haters because only truly unhappy people invest time in trying to hurt others. Thank you for your sweet compliments!
Actually it's a Kramer neck bolted onto a leftie, custom wet maple body that's a hybrid between a Warlock and a Strat with Seymour Duncan pickup and a real Floyd Rose whammy (as opposed to a Rose-licensed copy). And I can *play* that sucker too.
You sound like a lovely woman. do not listen to people who throw hatred at you. Its never right and they can never give you a real reason why they do it.
Im only 16 and i know that hatred is completeley wrong for what you went through, you needed people supporting you xoxo
I am taking psychology in college right now, and i took gender and society last year as well. I learned alot about the brain, transgenderism, and also society and how they deal with people like this. I am so happy that i found your youtube out of the blue. Thank you, thank you for your touching and motivating words! I would love to meet you one day...
San Francisco has a reputation of hostility toward transgender women. I am very sad to say it but it is true. Good for you to have survived and prospered.
It's been ten years since I lived my hometown and I understand it's gotten better, more of a ho-hum attitude towards transwomen than when I lived there and it seemed like the local pastime was to prove how "sophisticated" you were by playing Spot-the-Trannie. Still it's a lot better than it was for me back in 1985 when most people were flat-out rude and hateful toward MTFs.
I'm really sorry, but I spent the whole video looking at your boobs! Now I have to watch it agian to hear what you were saying! I'll try and behave this time. :)
Please don't be sorry. If I were worried about guys (or gals) admiring my boobs I wouldn't have worn something so low cut, eh? After all, what rule says you can't learn something and feast your eyes at the same time? Besides, you may think you're not paying attention to what I'm saying but your subconscious is hearing it. Sneaky bee-yatch, aren't I? ;-)
Thank for your comment. To be honest, I'm not that sorry I went thru it. Yes, sometimes it was hell, but I feel I became much stronger and courageous than if I'd had an easier life.
Thank you for the compliment. I've worked with several different vocal feminizing resources including ones by Andrea James and Melanie Anne Phillips. It's mostly practice until it becomes second nature.
It's sad you went through such a hard time, we all have our demons. I cannot imagine what it must be like to feel not right in your own body. Some people can be cruel and just plain nasty. I'm happy that you found your 'self' I hope that you have a life of contentement, peace and love Disregard the negative people. You can't change some peoples point of view. So I send you best wishes from France. For the record I am a woman born a woman into men, just felt so moved by your story I had to write.
I don't get gender reassignment surgery, all it does is give you a faux vagina or penis, it doesn't make you a real man or women and any DNA test can show you your DNA is still xy/xx no matter how many faux reproductive organs and hormones you get. I think they shouldn't call it gender reassignment unless they actually change your gender. I think that is called false avertising.
And at fifteen years old you know so much better than doctors and PhD.s who've studied this for decades?
For the record, I call it Sex Reassignment Surgery because it changes legal and anatomical sex, not gender. Gender is both psychological sex and social attribution. Also, DNA (genetic sex) is not written in stone, which you'd know if you researched genetic anomalies.
Read chapter 2 of "The Transsexual Phenomenon" to learn more about sex and gender you clearly don't know.
A ripoff for whom? I have a beautiful, functional vagina that even most doctors would think I was born with, I am legally female in California and many other states that recognize the change (plus all of Canada, I believe) ad my birth certificate now reads "Female." I sure as hell don't want my money back! :-)
She looks good. I wouldn't mind being a work slave as long as when I get home I could be seduced with seeing her in latex and have fun. Bottle of wine, foreplay and........
Errr... well, thanks. I'm flattered. However, I'm already spoken for, and she doesn't want to share me with anyone. Best of luck finding the Mistress of your dreams! :)
How do transexuals and gay people separate themselves from eachother, already noting the obvious sex change? As in, in a gay relationship about 90% percent of the time there will be one who takes on more of the male role, dominent would be the word, then the female role. When it comes to knowing you're a female on the inside, what would separate a transexual from a more femine gay, speaking in more of the brain and mind terms than the once again obvious gender differences?
Gay and straight (and bi) are a matter of sexual orientation, of who you are sexually and romantically attracted to. Gender identity is about how you identify: male or female (or something else).
Gender identity doesn't control sexual orientation, so a TS woman may not be attracted to men. (I'm on the lesbian side of bisexual.) Roles in the context you mention have more to do with sexuality than with gender role, and people do switch roles.
What a wonderful autobiographical clip! I am so glad that it has a happy "ending" ! Of course it;s not an ending at all, it is just the beginning! I found your clip as a response the The View's Sherri Shepherd's uniformed and phobic rant about little boys wearing dresses! It really bothers me that such a popular show has such rampant ignorance displayed by the hosts! As a openly gay man with several Trans friends what can I do to combat this kind of blatant discrimination?
Christine, I'm SOOO very glad for you! You've got your life together and are just a tad younger than me. I admire how you've pulled through it all succesfully.
People cannot possibly imagine what this condition is like ... unless THEY have it. Forget about the haters and dummies.
Not only are you being very presumptuous about my having or not having a "fully functional male body," you clearly didn't pay attention to the whole vlog. The birth "defect" is in the brain, an area in the hypothalamus that heavily affects gender and sex feelings.
Try researching some of those links to the right before you spout off you ignorance again. You just might learn something, if you keep an open mind.
Thanks for the idea of the "Gendered Soul" I looked it up and it was helpful. As to why God would put a woman in a man's body? Do you think it may be part of the discomforting "Human Condition"? I saw a recent article regarding worms. They have both female and male sex organs. As they mate they fight with eachother over who will be the female. would this mean they are aware of the difference? Do we count ourselves male until we are defeated in that purpose?
Actually all human embryos are born female. It is not until in utero hormones start acting on the fetus that the various tissues begin to differentiate. For instance, the female clitoris and the male penis are the *same* tissue. Ditto for the scrotal sack and female labia.
With regard as to why Goddess would put me in this body? I won't presume to say for sure, but perhaps so I could learn life lessons I couldn't learn any other way. This path has demanded courage, strength and persistence.
It may me that the soul needs to change in order for a man to be an essential woman. If this is so, Is it correct that the soul is immutable? For the Christian, Jesus represents all that is good in men. Loving, caring, gentility, honesty, bravery, generosity, spirituatism etc. Don't we see these attributes routinely in women? It it reasonable to think that God will switch everything in the end? Will Jesus return as Jesus-ita?
There's a couple ways to look at the "gendered soul" theory. One is that I have a female soul that ended up in a male body. It certainly would explain my female personality and sensibilities.
Why would God put a female soul into a male body? Who know? Why not? Why are children born left-handed or with ambiguous genitals or any of a thousand abnormalities?
Another way to look at it -- for the moment setting aside the possibility of reincarnation -- is that souls don't have a gender.
Nothing could possibly be more disgusting than your hatred and ignorance.
Why did you come to this page to watch a transsexual video in the first place? Just trolling? Do you think that by flaming total strangers you'll somehow improve your life or your self-esteem? You should try watching my "Misery Loves Company" video; I made it just for people like you.
Why do I always sit on my bed with my legs spread? To annoy people like you, of course! ;)
P.S. You'll notice I'm in my office in my chair as I am in another video. Actually only two of my vids have me on my bed with my "legs spread" but I'll be adding to that number very soon!
Hey, I just wanted to say that I was a little leery when I first started watching this video. There are a lot of strange things on youtube, but I'm glad that you presented yourself intelligently in this way. I think whats really counterproductive is all the stereotypical transgendered women who care too much about the cell phone and the prada bag and makeup. I think your approach makes it easier for people to take you seriously.
You are totally awsome and wonderful! It is amazing that you are not bitter and hateful after all that you had to go through. I only wish people like you, and not the narrow minded haters, had been around me during my childhood.
I hope you are successful in sending your message to others.
Hi Christine - thanks for the powerful video. It reminded me that I take a lot for granted in my life, starting with just being born in the right skin. This may sound weird coming from a complete stranger, but I'm so proud of you for following through on your belief, for finding the strength to do the right thing for you when so much was against you.
Why are *you* into women? Most people do not understand why you would be gay and would say that isn't right. So are you saying it's okay for you to be different but for TS women it's not? FYI, I also had sort of relationship with a "100%" lesbian and I did not like it, either, but I am not going to prejudge all lesbians based on her.
BTW, I don't give a fuck about "Jesus" accepting me, I'm happy for self-acceptance and that of my family and friends. Nothing could smell as bad as your comment.
Final note my dear. Yes, I am a TS woman, but I'll never be grateful for it. I will always be grateful that I was able to find my way with the help of friends, hormones and surgery that allow me to live as a woman to the best of my ability. But forgive me if I sound weak, but I'll never be grateful to be TS, even if it has made me stronger and wiser and appreicate life as a woman. I'd much rather be a g girl who will never know how lucky she was not to be born in a boys body. I'm weak huh?
Not weak at all. This can be a very hard, painful, grueling path, and I have said much of what you've said more than once. However, as the program in which I found my recovery (from addiction) says, pain is the touchstone of spiritual growth. Yeah, that's a bitch, huh? :)
Dearest Christine I am very sorry if anything I said offended you. Please believe me that was the last thing I intended with my comment. I simply meant that in my opinion you were woman, all woman in every way that defines the word and that trans really wasnt necessary. Sorry if I dropped the ball. You are a brave, lovely, intelligent woman with a lot of heart. I wish you all the joy and love that you deserve. And oh by the by, I had my surgery in June of 06. Hugs from the Kitten
Hi Kitten. No, not offended at all. However some transwomen are very militant in their "I'm just a woman now" stance and some even go as far as to say "I was never a man." I'm glad you're not one of those!
In a sense, if we're classifying by brain sex (as this vid discusses) then "I was never a man" has some merit, but TS women are not just their brains. We were born with male genitals and had "M" on our birth certs. Those who deny that are, IMO, merely showing insecurity about their womanhood.
Hiya Christine. Just want to say that I think it takes real courage and a real caring about others to make this video. You care enough to offer something that might get those "blind" to see, because the cure for ignorance is learning ... and you offer hope and information to those souls trapped in the wrong body and who think they are crazy or sinful or think there is no hope. You are a light. Trans means cross and you have crossed. You are a woman, no trans needed. God bless and keep you.
"trans" is also an adjective that describes how I got from one place to another. I do not subscribe to the line of thought "I'm just another woman now." For one thing, I still have a prostate gland that my doctor will still need to monitor. If I marry and do not tell my spouse of my past (which can be discovered via Lexis-Nexis) the marriage can be annulled on that basis.
Life is not that simple, and isn't that what we tell those who say you can't be women? I am a TS woman and grateful for it.
Well, I'll be honest. There's no other way to describe you other than to say that you are an inspiration. I myself am trans, and it's something that's been scaring the hell outta me in terms of the future. Watching this video has helped to ease my thoughts a bit. Thank you for posting. :-)
my only disagreement is that i dont see it as a birth defect. i believe there has never been anything wrong with me and that this is a spiritual process that we sign on for intentionally.

It is quite eyeopening.
danesterful 1 year ago
When will humans ever learn that they have no real authority over other people? Whether I believe that transexuals should die in fire (which I certainly do not) or they should all live perfectly normal lives (which I most certainly do) has no bearing and never should on what you believe about yourself. Hope is the fuel that progresses humanity, each and every one of us. Fear and the need to be conforming hinders us all and denies humanity of its true value.

Wow, Great video!!!! Many props to you on your success in life!!! You speak the truth!!! Why is it the GLBT community not allowed the same rights as every other american? Thebrujo1986 1 year ago
Have a good life...
christineglamazon 1 year ago
@christineglamazon
Thebrujo1986 1 year ago
@Thebrujo1986 I guess you'd be happiest in a world where we all Sieg Heiled and wore swastika armbands, but fortunately we live in a country where diversity is more or less protected. If you want to live in a place with the strict moral code you desire, I suggest Iran or Saudi Arabia. They are just as socially conservative as you are. Here in the USA we protect our freedoms, and I did not honorably serve my country for four years so bigots could take away people's freedoms.

TheMarioiZChamp 1 year ago
@TheMarioiZChamp watch it again. It first says "I believe in God" and then it says "but not the hateful God you believe in." Perhaps I should change it to "not the hateful God many believe in." I don't get gender reassignment surgery, all it does is give you a faux vagina or penis, it doesn't make you a real man or women and any DNA test can show you your DNA is still xy/xx no matter how many faux reproductive organs and hormones you get. I think they shouldn't call it gender reassignment unless they actually change your gender. I think that is called false avertising.
TBSnerd 2 years ago
And at fifteen years old you know so much better than doctors and PhD.s who've studied this for decades?
For the record, I call it Sex Reassignment Surgery because it changes legal and anatomical sex, not gender. Gender is both psychological sex and social attribution. Also, DNA (genetic sex) is not written in stone, which you'd know if you researched genetic anomalies.
Read chapter 2 of "The Transsexual Phenomenon" to learn more about sex and gender you clearly don't know.

IfXIXWereXAXCoconut 2 years ago
Gay and straight (and bi) are a matter of sexual orientation, of who you are sexually and romantically attracted to. Gender identity is about how you identify: male or female (or something else).
Gender identity doesn't control sexual orientation, so a TS woman may not be attracted to men. (I'm on the lesbian side of bisexual.) Roles in the context you mention have more to do with sexuality than with gender role, and people do switch roles.
Complicated, huh? :)

How is it a birth defect when you had a fully functional male body? Give me a break.
DiamondHobbit 2 years ago
Not only are you being very presumptuous about my having or not having a "fully functional male body," you clearly didn't pay attention to the whole vlog. The birth "defect" is in the brain, an area in the hypothalamus that heavily affects gender and sex feelings.
Try researching some of those links to the right before you spout off you ignorance again. You just might learn something, if you keep an open mind.
christineglamazon 2 years ago
Thanks for the idea of the "Gendered Soul" I looked it up and it was helpful. As to why God would put a woman in a man's body? Do you think it may be part of the discomforting "Human Condition"? I saw a recent article regarding worms. They have both female and male sex organs. As they mate they fight with eachother over who will be the female. would this mean they are aware of the difference? Do we count ourselves male until we are defeated in that purpose?
boilerplate7 2 years ago
Actually all human embryos are born female. It is not until in utero hormones start acting on the fetus that the various tissues begin to differentiate. For instance, the female clitoris and the male penis are the *same* tissue. Ditto for the scrotal sack and female labia.
With regard as to why Goddess would put me in this body? I won't presume to say for sure, but perhaps so I could learn life lessons I couldn't learn any other way. This path has demanded courage, strength and persistence.
christineglamazon 2 years ago
It may me that the soul needs to change in order for a man to be an essential woman. If this is so, Is it correct that the soul is immutable? For the Christian, Jesus represents all that is good in men. Loving, caring, gentility, honesty, bravery, generosity, spirituatism etc. Don't we see these attributes routinely in women? It it reasonable to think that God will switch everything in the end? Will Jesus return as Jesus-ita?
boilerplate7 2 years ago
There's a couple ways to look at the "gendered soul" theory. One is that I have a female soul that ended up in a male body. It certainly would explain my female personality and sensibilities.
Why would God put a female soul into a male body? Who know? Why not? Why are children born left-handed or with ambiguous genitals or any of a thousand abnormalities?
Another way to look at it -- for the moment setting aside the possibility of reincarnation -- is that souls don't have a gender.
christineglamazon 2 years ago

I'm glad to see that you survive and are here to tell you story.

You're great! Don't change for anyone! ;-)

You are totally awsome and wonderful! It is amazing that you are not bitter and hateful after all that you had to go through. I only wish people like you, and not the narrow minded haters, had been around me during my childhood.
I hope you are successful in sending your message to others.

OMG I have a million questions I could ask you!
Yer very brave! :)
mimiru2582 2 years ago
Thanks, but it really wasn't a matter of being brave. I had to transition to save my life. It seems to be working going on over 20 years now!
Go check out my website (link is in the "more info" section to the right for more on my story plus links to lots of TS/TG resources and info.

Blessed be.

TardisKitten 2 years ago

TardisKitten 2 years ago

TardisKitten 2 years ago
"trans" is also an adjective that describes how I got from one place to another. I do not subscribe to the line of thought "I'm just another woman now." For one thing, I still have a prostate gland that my doctor will still need to monitor. If I marry and do not tell my spouse of my past (which can be discovered via Lexis-Nexis) the marriage can be annulled on that basis.
Life is not that simple, and isn't that what we tell those who say you can't be women? I am a TS woman and grateful for it.

you sound very honest...i wish i could find samekind of courage than you :)
samharvey80 2 years ago
Well, I'll be honest. There's no other way to describe you other than to say that you are an inspiration. I myself am trans, and it's something that's been scaring the hell outta me in terms of the future. Watching this video has helped to ease my thoughts a bit. Thank you for posting. :-)
