If Garchomp was just at 20% health he woulda been able to take out Cress and 1v1 garchomp, excadrill beats Cress. I disagree, part of what used to make crits necessary was wallbreaking, but the metagame is a lot more offensive now and struggle will *quickly* self-KO. I think the pacing would be absolutely fine without them as long as people carried a hazer, phazer, or some strong setup poke of their own.

What I dislike about rocks is that a 1 turn setup completely owns so much of the game's possible choices.

I mean that anyone can join the banning process and provide their own arguments. You can even vote, provided that you don't suck. Anyway, Cresselia is barely used in OU, and will most likely not ever move up to OU. If you think that Cress needs to be Uber, then you obviously have not battled that much in Gen 4 or 5, and definitely not competitively.
