  • You are sooo good at yoga!! I am 19 and started yoga august of this year. I want to be able to do amazing inversions like you, all I can currently do is a head stand :(....I decided to buy the tripsichore yoga DVD...How often do you think I should practice? Is 3 days a week enough along with cardio and weight training?

    very honorable to buy Tripsichore DVD, try to increase stretching practice to 10-20 hours per week if desire advanced skill level inversions etc.

    19 is young age- should make progress by leaps & bounds, spend 1/3 to 1/2 time on inversions balancing, lifting & lowering & hard skills.

    cardio 6-7X week plus weight training 3-4X week should complement workouts nicely.

    more practice is better to a point but body needs time to rest & re-cooperate

    practice, practice, practice AWAY from wall & learn to fall safely or walk on hands.

    Get over fear by facing it boldly with full focus & visualize yourself doing handstand effortlessly & will happen one of these days- good luck!
