Mega Man II (Game Boy) - Air Man theme in 8-bit

Why oh why did the producers of this game have to make these songs so high in pitch? I think most of them are superior to the NES versions and you did great justice to these songs by reducing them an octave in pitch.

The music in MM2 for gameboy, if you listen closely, resembles music from music in Megaman 2 and 3 on the NES. Some of it seems original though... Airman's doesn't remind me of any one in particular...

@bsolmaz13 Hey man this is awesome! but I agree with @locustplumber the original is tuned to G and yours is tuned to G as well, but exactly one octave lower. Would there be a way to transpose it to the key of C in-between the two? C wouldn't sound as "off" as the other notes because G is the 5th of C. D might also sound good because D is the 5th of G. idk man it was just an idea I had.. I really like this tune I improvise on the melody and chords a lot on my piano :)

Glad someone brought this soundtrack to life, the Mega Man II soundtrack is an anomaly of Mega Man games for me because I can listen to remixes of it all day but I can't listen to the original. The closest to it is Mega Man 4 because I can't really stand the soundtrack in any form bar a couple of songs

Do you plan on doing the Wily themes, or not so much? Because these compositions are excellently done, and make it much more enjoyable than the originals, which made my ears bleed. @_@

Definitely a good tune and nice version of this, but high notes are sweet when they aren't ear rape. Have you considered adjusting the key signature itself? Instead of adjusting it by octaves, maybe you could adjust the tune by a fourth, or something like that.

the mega man II gb themes, i realize, all try to go for a sort of emotional theme, and succeed, i can deal with the high pitched sounds

though they end up sounding too much like each other

This is single-handedly the most awesome thing I have ever heard. I ALWAYS loved this particular theme so much (I would say I even prefer it to his NES theme), but the game's LOLtasticly bad pitch ruined the great compositions for so many people. You, however, have made the great music from this game enjoyable for everyone! Thank you.

after listening the real game boy version of airman, YIKES that part is too high pitch! My ears are still ringing and the volume was low!

This isn't bad and I applaud the effort, but the part which is unacceptably high in the Game Boy version seems a bit too low here.

It's supposed to be high-pitched, but not so high it will make the family dog whine like the GB one does.

Thanks for the feedback. But believe me, if I take the pitch up another notch, it's going to end up sounding like the GameBoy version. This pitch is just one step below the original. There's no in-between.

@MBSChynna he doesnt rip the music, he actually remade it in famitracker, the "ripping" term for 8-bit music is when someone grabs a already made midi file and uses it in GXSCC to turn it into garbage giving it some what an 8-bit feel but no where near nes quality.
