  • To shake the hand of Johny Cash...

  • PICK ANY HANK ERA, IT DONT MATTER. PICK THIS ONE. THE MANS VOICE STANDS ABOUT 6' HIGHER THAN ANY ONE. A MIGHTY MAN, A MIGHTY SINGER ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN

  • Gorgeous then, gorgeous now. Talented then, talented now. If you don't like Hank Jr, you can kiss my ass!

  • Love this song. and yes i am still listening to this is 2011 dont hate

  • I dont give a rats ass about anything anyone has to say about this man!!! HANK run for prez man an we the po folks will back ya dang it!!!!! President Sheldon Williams Jr has a alful pretty ring to.........you go man :) dont let them change ya

  • I think Hank Jr did the right thing. If he had stayed singing only his dad's songs like the people wanted, he would be only a shadow of what he is today. May God Bless Bocephus and the Devil play second fiddle. The man can bring the goose bumps both with the old and with the new. He's a god dam American icon hands down.

  • I bet you could feel the epicness in that room. The closest thing (at the time) to Hank Sr. and Johnny Cash together.

  • I don't give a shit what anybody says, Hank Jr is the best vocalist that country has ever had. The man can flat out sing!!!!

  • hank was damn good back then; but i think he’s better now.he seems more comfortable with himself now.keep up the fine work hank.i’m a long time fan!!

  • Wow! So cool Hank Jr. singing Hank Sr. I can't help it if I'm still in love with you. Cold Cold Heart and If you only loved me hals as much as I loved you. perfectly country!!! This is a great medly and I used to sing it when I was 10 years old before I even knew what the meaning of a good country song was.

  • @shineforjesuschrist Hank Jr should sing start singing his daddy's songs again to show that he's made peace with the feelings he's had from the past.

  • @steventhestudent Excuse me, but when did he ever stop? You can find the odd Sr. track on just about every one of his albums.

  • A tribute to all guys' late father if you ask me.

  • Love this video!

  • He never liked singing his Dads music , but it was what people thought he should do ..but he broke away and started doing his own music ..I seen him in person ..he is a real Hell raiser for sure !...I like his music ♪

  • It's so hard to see him without the sunglasses, and beard. It's like someone else is doing an impression of him. Great stuff.

  • Awesome vid.

It aint Still in love with you, btw this is a Hank sr medley:P

  • awesome.....

  • it would'nt matter if his name was jim bob smith, he's a hell of a musician, big hearted and bad ass......

  • WHOA!!!!! PHYLLIS...

  • two people can step in a horse pie!

  • how can anyone NOT like Hank?????

  • I can't believe there are two morons out there who would thumb this down. This is CLASSIC!

  • What two morons gave this one a thumbs down.

  • never saw him like this, pre-beard!

  • @onemellowdude hank jr lived alot harder life than sr and III.

  • @MrPAULONEAL Harder maybe, for a longer period of time yes. I'm sure Tricephus has done some very hard drugs.

  • What a great selection of his dad's songs

  • Crazy how much different he looks after that accident.

  • love this he is just like hes father

  • Hank can immitate several voices, e.g. Johnny Cash and George Jones. I think he got this ability from being forced to sing like his dad from age 8 to age 20.

  • I like how he makes a tactful use of yodeling. Overdone, yodeling can sound hokey. Hank Jr does it just about right. He even sounded like a sheep bleating for a second and it worked well. Only cute girls can yodel a whole song and get away with it.

  • this sends chills through my spine. simply awesome.

  • i seen some of these shows on bluehighwaytv

  • hank jr sounds like his daddy when he wants to and it is not copied. It is his birth- right,. he is the son of hank williams. and has his blood running through his veins.hank jr went through alot. and still came up on top.. THE GREAT HANK WILLIAMS JR NUFF SAID

  • @TheRonnie63 he never knew his dad though. he had to live in the shadow of a man who he never really met. odd.

  • @steventhestudent yes sir, i do agree, but hank jr should be greatful that he took from his daddy instead of his mommy. Cause audry williams couldnt sing. just search for auidry williams on u-yube and hear for yourself. And thank you for your reply. you have a great day

  • The songs are as follows. You win again (sungs by Hank Sr), Cold cold heart, I cant help it that im still in lve with you (sung by Hank Sr and Anita Carter), i cant remember the name of the 4th song though

  • @Dogsoldier22 the 4th song is half as much

  • @hellbilly74 thanks

  • This is a medley of Hank Sr. songs. There are 4 different songs in this.

  • I feel this way about a lady I met over twenty years ago and by coincidence saw her this year. Only time will tell if we meet. I have over five cds of Bocephus, but over ten sung by his father Hank Williams Sr.

  • How Do I Get Just The Song In MP3 Format

  • @JoshuaRayeEubanks buy roxio 2010 software and record it and save to a folder on your hard drive

  • Hank, Jr. was great when he was young but is even better today. I love his voice and would love to have a record of the oldies by him.

  • Better listen to the one and only Hank Williams SR. This is a phoney!

  • god damn this is good.....and today is the 57th anniversary of his daddys death....i think no matter what he sang, from his daddys music to his he would still be awesome...i am a bigger fan of SR though juat imagine JR and SR on the same stage singing old songs....it would be too good to be true....in this vid he sounds almost identical to his dad in some of the songs....just amazing

  • What a performance, will I get shot for saying that is the best version of the song?:P

  • Great song Hank! We love you from Grove City Ohio.

  • GREAT JOB HANK Peace Bro.

  • Great job Hank -you have a great voice on your own

  • This was before he made up his mind to fight for he music he had in his heart! This is his daddy's song - which he was forced to do for so long. That mountain saved his life. Hurt like hell - but look at how much we all love his music - from his own heart.

    Love you Bo

  • @collegechik39 Actually I'm not a big fan of his music, but you are so right in what you say. He wasn't his daddy; he was his own man and it was the right thing for him to find his own sound. It was wrong and destructive for his promoters to try to recreate Hank Sr. in Jr.

  • Who else is badass enough to fall off a mountain and become a Country music legend?

  • AWESOME VIDEO !!!! xox

  • wow this is before he got f-ed up in that mountain accident

  • whats the name of the 1st song he is singing?

  • The first song is "You Win Again"!

  • I can't help it if I'm still in love with you. It was written and made famous by his father Hank Sr. They were all Hank Sr. songs.

  • Awesome performance!!!!!

Alot of ppl give ole Hank Jr a hard time, but i think he's the greatest...

I have afew doc video's of him talking about his Mountain accident..

He didn't loose site in his eye when it popped out of the socket...

It just doesnt follow the other eye when he moves them..... kinda like they are out of time with each other.

  • This is THE BEST of THE BEST, just sends shivers up my arms to listen to this. Agree 110% too bad he didn't continue to sing like this, he wouldn't have to have worried about being in his fathers footsteps, he'd of been out in front of him!

  • wow he dont even look the same. When did he go outlaw .he fell in a climbing accident.maybe those pain killers made him outlaw

  • the description for this video is awesome

  • He was so amazing in all his old videos in this style of music, they are all great.

Man imagine a live concert if jr impersonated sr just once.. just once... i would come all the way over from ireland to see it.

Dame the thought of that makes me want to be born around the hank sr era..

  • He still does some of that...just not as much. During his acoustic set he generally breaks out at least one Sr. song, and even with the changes in his voice due to age and the Ajax Mountain incident, he can STILL sound just like his Daddy. He also does a killer J.R. Cash impersonation.

  • What a good looking man he was. A great voice. I wish just once before he dies, he cleans up a little and plays some of the old country music along with his newer stuff. He is so talented. I am glad he still performs

  • problem with "cleaning up" is that his face is now covered with scars and his skull is misshaped from falling off Ajax Mountain. That's why he let his hair grow out, grew the beard and always wears sunglasses.

  • my fav singer of all time i love his high's and low's in his voice..ty 4 the video

  • I could watch this all day long! Thanks for this... great video!

  • It's uncanny how much Hank Jr. sounds like his dad in this video.

  • He was trying to.. plus it was before he went deaf in one ear and blind in one eye

  • man Hank Jr. in no way passed his father and never will....I liked him until he sold out and sung "the mcain-palin tradition"...this is awesome though...im not being opinionated...but Hank Sr. is the father of honky tonk.

  • he did not sell out he stood up for his beliefs one of the few that had the nuts to do it period...... i personly dont belive you ever liked him anyway cause if you did you wouldent be talkin such dumbass shit

  • I agree

  • hank jr way surpassed his father IMO

  • hmmm... that is NOT Rockin Randall....

  • oh my god, i love it!

  • Man........just blown away!!!

  • Never knew he has such pretty lips.....can't see them for the beard :)

  • someone needs to post the entire version after he gets through playin he gives john one of hank sr pistols

  • What happened to this Hank, Jr.? If he would have kept this style he would have been a good successor to the throne that is still left empty since Hank, Sr. left.

  • Hehe after he fell 500ft down a mountain and getting his skull crushed...changed him so much! He took country to another level! He did his father justice and he wanted to do something new. You cant blame him for that :p

  • are you crazy? if he would have stuck to this even though its great he would have never ever been the mega star he is today you people forget he is a 5 time entertainer of the year few can match his ticket sales to this day hank jr is equal to his dad inevery way only he got his deams beat and lived to tell it unlike hank sr

  • His shows suck but his music is good. Unless he was just stoned at mine

  • one of my favorite videos on youtube, thank you for this

  • Great Video,, Alot of ppl have never even heard Hank Jr singing in his early days.

Its cool that you have, and posted this Great Video.

  • The song your probley thinking about Alan Jackson sings that Hank Jr did is the blues man. Yes the song Midnight in montgomrey is about hank sr. Hank jr, Waylon and Johnny cash are the best

  • Man he is awsome!!!!! deadla

  • I just realized this guy looks like Glen Campbell. Doesnt Allan Jackson play songs of hanks * Midnight in Montgomery*

  • Interesting to see footage like this from 1970 or thereabouts, before that terrible mountain climbing accident Bocephus had a few years later. I wonder why CMT doesn't dust off stuff like this to show instead of endless repeats of "Reba" or "Touched by an Angel".

  • Im only 22...and still get hot watching him in this age.

  • hello

  • let me quote the late great waylon jennings, Hank jr makes his daddy look like a share cropper......

  • this is great to see pure country gold

  • All you old wart nosed sumbitches need to appreciate Hank Jr´s ability to sing his dad´s songs and enjoy.

  • @rll1954 Amen!

  • @rll1954 I completely agree with you there ! And by the way I accidently hit the down button my bad man :/

  • Jr. woulda made it big in Nashville in the 60's even if he wasn't his daddy's boy.

  • There´s probably a lot of truth in that.

  • Hate to say it but he sings better than his dad. Brilliant!

  • Hate to say it, but your wrong

  • it's a stupid debate. everyone has their own preference.

  • oh really... you mean that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, well no shit capt. obvious thanks for setting the bounds on making an innocent comment on the ol' youtube, you truley are an example to us all!

  • Calm down. Then seek professional help.

  • He most definitely sings better than his dad, no question.

  • YOUR WRONG Hank Sr did waaaaaaaaaaaay better, Jr. just copied off. Jr. is good but Sr KICKS ASS!

  • I agree with you, top voice, made for country music..

  • does anyone have his first performence after he fell of the moutain?

  • wonderful

  • I'm a huge Hank Jr. fan. But I hate that hickup into falsetta you hear in this video (audio). That's what keeps me from being a Garth fan. Hank didn't like it either which is why he doesn't do that anymore.

  • garth brooks is a panzi i agree with that

  • Yeah, freddie must be gay. If you don't know, please read this history. When Hank Jr. was young, he was trotted out by record companies to make money off his father's name. Then he quit. He became a strong country / rock artist in his own rignt. Only after her was recognized did he start to do his father's songs again.... and like he says... his father didn't hang around much to be with the kids while he was alive. It's easy to sing Hank Sr. (boxcar willie) it's hard to be Hank Jr.

  • listen to the song Standing in the Shadows....one of Hank Jr.'s best songs from the early part of his career....plus, what do you mean he quit....he had an accident and took a few years off to recuperate....when he came back, he had a different look (due to the amount of plastic surgeries) and a different sound (he needed a change of pace, musically).

  • MusicDude86, I only meant that he quit letting other people trot him out to sing his father's songs. He made a stellar career of his own. His own way. He virtually invented country rock.

  • personally, i like his early material more than his "country-rock" material.

  • I dont understand! I like Hank Sr, are you saying you dont like Waylon? If you dont like Waylon I'm sorry about your luck!!

  • 2 legends and so happy to have one still around and kicking ....

  • Great Video, 5 *****'s

  • I love Hank Sr. but Hank Jr. does his daddies songs better by ten fold!

  • it figures a waylon fan would say somethin like that

  • what the hell is wrong with waylon? your gay if you have a problem with him

  • aint nothin wrong with waylon....most of his fans are tone deaf though

  • whats that suppossed to mean?

  • What makes you say that?

  • ask jr who does them better waylonfan

  • i have to agree, hank jr does do better. but i think its the simple fact that hank jr has access to better equipment and adds more background music to it

  • Great I loved this clip. Thanks for posting it. I saw Johnny Cash and Hank Jr in Detroit, Mi. at Cobo Hall around 1968. Hank Jr. recorded his show live it was released on an album.

  • more, more , more hank jr. classics. any fans out there with more old hank jr tunes like this?

    this is a awesome video!!

  • yes Plaese More!!!!!!!!!

  • thanx for posting this but does anybody know what album the Hank Jr. version of "Half as Much" is on?, I gotta have it now and can't find it

  • google?

  • oh of course, that's brilliant!, why didn't I think of that?

  • what year is this?

  • why would you say that this is shit??? i dont get that...its not hank sr but hank jr is one of the best country music artists of all time...he didnt continue singing his dads songs...he made his own way and his own sound and he is to be respected for that....im not crazy about much of his new stuff....but his music from the '70s...holy hell that is some GOOD DAMN COUNTRY MUSIC

  • People are enthousiastic because of a great tune by Hank Williams Sr.He was the star, not this phoney who stole all the compositions. Hank Sr. I am sorry for this shit versions!I like only your originals who were great!

  • The title is : 'You win again' and this is a bad copy of a great original of the one and only Hank Williams. This phoney we don't like...it is shit.

  • bastard

  • eat poop and die

  • Pop will eat itself

  • Well Done Hank Jr.

    Thanks for posting that :-)

  • long live hank.

  • way to do it hank! I love ya music....but i like to hear u do a good one of your daddys too. well done bocephus!

  • Youre fucking A right. YEE Haw. We need more of this bocephus. Tear jerking singing son of a bitch. I love it.
