In 1974 the Carousel of Progress moved to Disney World. From 1974 to 1988, what is now Innoventions was an attraction called America Sings! You can still see a lot of the animatronics from America Sings! as they were "re-imagineered" into the Splash Mountain attraction. Also, the two G2 droids in the queue for Star Tours are actually two stripped geese from America Sings.
The skyway seriously used to scare the hell out of me as a little kid. They do need to bring it back, though, as it was the best way to go from one end of the park to the other!

Oh no, they closed the sky tram like in 1992 or so. I've been in Disneyland tons of times and I'm still loving it, actually I'll go this september :)
