How I got to be a sick houser:

1. If i'm not feeling the DJ/song - I don't dance. It's a waste of energy.

2. I love my mistakes - They're what create most moves in the first place! Most people don't know that what they're looking at is not a well choreographed effort, but sick moves stitched together by mistakes. (that's why we can never repeat shit!)

3. Housin is different from other styles - the harder you try, the harder it is. Relax. Fuck shit up. Watch their moufs drop.

I think that's how all styles are in general. it's simply a way of freeing yourself. so by tensing up in anything you do, putting too much effort in is the biggest hold back for many dancers.

I don't think you understand. They're feeling it. Dancing is amazing, but dancing with someone as a friend, and communicating through the music and dance - it's the next higher order of movement.

Caleaf and Ejoe are a hybrid of many styles to the point that they're starting to create their own chamber. I've seen them along with Buddha Stretch and BK Terry doing it since late 80's - early 90's while hanging out in some of the hottest spots in NYC as someone mention in the post (Sound Factory, Red Zone, The Choice, The World, Kilamanjaro, etc.). I say keep the culture going.....

Nah, man. Drink no more than a glass a day. Alcohol is a poison by medical terms. Learn what it feels like to dance drunk, then call up that feeling when you're sober. One of the people who mentored me said that if you can control those feelings of dancing while drunk or high, you get a new understanding of your body. The trick is learning from those experiences without abusing them.

NYNJDJ, I saw Joey(Kemet9292)who's on Here and would like to know what's makes Joey more "Evolved" than Ejoe or Caleaf?I mean Joey has a different Style but to tell you the truth the Foundation is still the same!The Techique and Steps are basically the same.He just has a different Body Rhythm.

Ejoe is a legend for his tricks and that's about it. Caleef hasn't evolved there STUCK in time. As for true freestyle house dancing that continues to evolve its Joey one of the 'Lo Kidz from Jersey. Ask E and Caleef they know! And Yes I am one of the 'Lo Kidz!!!

Thatz the main reason why this dance hasn't gotten it's respect- the 'crabs in the barrel' mentality. Both of them have incredible DANCE ability regardless (Nynjdg), U cldv nevr entered a cipher back in the redzone, world, choice or tunnel days giving that h8 ur runnin w/o gettin smoked.
