  • Sorry mates, I have more respect for people who do good because they want to rather then people who do good because they don't want to burn in a fictional hell.

This must have been irratating, I live in Halifax... many tourists walk on the waterfront and I'm sure they now have the wrong impression about this city.

  • People must get the impression that there is nothing to do in Halifax but post silly comments on people's videos that you disagree with.

Calling hell fictional is like a convicted criminal calling the electric chair fictional.

Christians do good (something that is please to God because of what Jesus did) not because they are afraid of hell, but do good because they are incredibly grateful to God for not giving them what they truly deserve for sinning against Him.

  • So everything that questions your religion is silly... good thought process.

Also, if you want say I'm stupid for calling Hell fictional, you it'd be better if you followed through with proof of its existance.

And if you do Good for God and not out of fear, then what's with all the scare tactics to scare people with Hell to believe what you believe?

  • You mean to say that if you have children, you're not going to tell them to look both ways before they cross the road because you don't want to use scare tactics to scare them with "fictional cars" to get them to believe what you believe?

Read the bible and listen to your conscience for proof.

There is a sense in which you obviously are not stupid, but there is also a sense in which the bible says you are (ie: the 'fool' says there is no God; Psalm 14).

  • I never said God didn't exist... I simply cannot prove he doesn't exist because in doing that I'll be a idiot... there's no evidence he doesn't exist, I can't possibly prove that. Just like I can't prove Zeus, Thor, Apollo etc doesn't exist.

However, I have yet to see proof that God exists, so I won't make a big fuss until I see it. Don't get me wrong, there are some really great people who have faith, but there are also others who see fit to damn others in the name of their God.

  • Also, the Bible isn't exactly a great source... Espectially the old testiment. Swearing punished by death, Ox hurting someone else punished the death of the Ox and the owner. Earthquakes caused by God shaking four pillars. The Earth is Flat. Whales are not mammals. Moon makes its own light. Giants existed. Unicorns existed. Dragons existed.

If there were an all knowing being, surely he wouldn't make this many errors unless it was a book written by men.

  • Hello, I also have a personal relationship with the Lord, but I would be embarassed by this display at the waterfront. The Lord usually beckons me to make a difference in somebody's life. But by putting on a public spectacle, I feel that it pushes people away. The Lord wouldn't want you to do something that causes management to call the Police. I think you should be a friend and make an impact. People respond to you by who you are and what you do, not by how many Bible scriptures you can recite

  • Essentially you are saying the same thing of Jesus, Paul, Peter, and many great open air preachers like Whitfield, Spurgeon, etc. The bible commands that we go into all the world and preach the gospel. Do you think Jesus didn't have the "police" called on him? What would you call the religious leaders of his day? What about Paul getting dragged away and stoned for making a "public spectacle" of himself. If you are going to disagree with something, then back yourself with scripture next time.

  • @threehappypenguins -Explain II Kings2:23-24 Cant wait to see what delightful wickedness you use to justify this one. holy bible should be call "Idiot Book".

  • i do have a life, family, friends, children and many things i do to keep me going and not tied up and obsessed with one topic that filters into every conversation that is ever had. i searched the busker events because there was only three acts the other night when we went and i wanted to see what happened. big guy on a milkcrate is not a busker act. the statue guy was pretty cool to see.

  • I agree a big guy on a milkcrate is not a busker act. It's not supposed to be! Why does it filter into every conversation? I am glad you mentioned that. Sometimes I feel as though I don't talk about it enough! So thanks for the encouragement. :) When the God of Glory saved me from what I deserve, He deserves my unwavering honour, diligence, and loyalty. How can I NOT talk about it?

  • I think people are getting the impression that it's a "busker act" because you put "Buskers" in the title. Just sayin'...

  • Not only that, but like I said before, I don't want people to go to hell, and I want others to love the God that created them.

  • should get down and enjoy the buskers. religious people need a life or hobby outside their religion or they will become fanatics. Next on Dr.Phil

  • Vince,

You really need a life rather than making persistent, irrelevant comments on my videos! :)
