Looks like a fun night of TV! I just wonder, does the complete newscast still exist? Some stations in major areas were still erasing their tapes in 1978.
This was a few months before KMSP 9 in Minneapolis-St. Paul switched from ABC to Independent as KSTP 5 switched from NBC to ABC and WTCN 11 switched from Independent/Metromedia to NBC.
I still have that same dam truck now!

I bet that McDonald's commercial with the dancing glasses was the inspiration behind "Teeny Little Super Guy", from Sesame Street and Pinwheel.
