Taking in a wild kitten is certainly a humane and admirable thing to do.....i found a wild 8 week old kitten in my yard and took him in a year ago. Just be aware that they can carry feline HIV....tuburculosis and rabis. I gave my kitten the full royal package.....bath, trip to the vet for shots, nutered
i want to know how to catch 3 wild ones their living in my shed and i need to get them out. the momma likes me but the 3 kittens wont come out, plz help
o_o $22,000... if you are a true animal lover I would hope you would spend that money buying an abandoned kitty or maybe donating it to pet shelters... 22,000.... wow...
@RocketeerRaccoon 12-20 years seems to be the span. It depends on the environment. Stressed out cats don't live as long, if the owners smoke they can get cancers, if the owners can afford care for things like liver/kidney failure they can go quicker from that. My last cat was 14 when she died, I have one now that's 16 and my youngest is 9. The 16 year old has kidney failure but she's still kicking. My aunt's cat lived until she was 19. It just depends! That's my experience of age rang though!
@TheRiggyRiggs You seem more worried about its life span that is a little more than a half a decade over normal, even though its price tag seems more extraordinary.
I don't know about you, but $22,000 should at least give me a new means of transportation.
Ah, the sweet and darling Ashera cat. The Dutch government (my own government) confiscated three of those cats a family had bought. They were considered too dangerous to live the part of housecat. One ashera cat was kept at the airport for over a year and died in the carrier in the quarantine space of the Dutch airport. The whereabouts of the other two (its siblings) are unknown.
The people who wanted to take care of these animals (people who love felines) never got to see them. FAIL.
Ocelot is the best one y'all

I wonder what the kittens would look like if you crossed an Amur Leopard with a Snow Leopard, or a cougar with a caracal?

They're all so cute, but it's a shame that the first two don't live as long as housecats. :(

25 years, bloody hell that's a long time. How long does a normal house cat live for?
