@09redneck. the bolt or the the threads on the block? threads on block, try gettin a tap and thread set just the size of the bolt hole.. try rethreading first. if not, drill out and heile coil it. basically putting premade theads in. if just a bolt , buy anew one.

@klashgdhsaeg, My 78 Ford starts fine in cold weather, it has no choke either. Ohh, and never had to replace a starter either, its a 400m starter on a 520 big block, original starter for the truck, never been rebuilt.... yes Fords have problems and Chevys have problems to, apparently neither have problems starting in cold weather.

For instance my 78 ford i was talking about runs perfectly fine, no electrical problems nothing...runs great. If i want a good truck I will go buy a Ford, and a Dodge, pull the cummins out of the dodge and put it in a ford.

Also my brothers truck is powered by a cummins from a wrecked ford f650. And even if i put a cummins in my truck that is out of a dodge its still not a dodge powered ford. Its cummins powered, may be manufactured for dodge, but cummins are their own company. Ford is my favorite. Have a good one.
