lol i love how everybody expects us to be in the finals every year. even haters! U cant go 4 yrs in a row lol dosent happen. What happen last yr was last yr. We needed this for sure. use this for motivation just like 2008. I seen this coming a mile away, especially when u take games off for 3qtrs in the reg season. and then decide to turn the switch on and come back n win it. WE WILL BE BACK!
kobe is such a class act, he modeled himself after michael jordan do you blame him he's the greatest doesn't cry about getting fouled every time down the floor plays the game hard the right way stuck it out with the same team his whole career plays through injury, this is why he has 5 rngs , he does everything the complete opposite of lebron james, this is why lebron james has no rings.
When Lakers first went off against Chris Paul, it really showed how slow they are compare to the younger team. Chris Paul danced on them, and no defender aside from Kobe can really stay on him...
thumbs up if u think its kinda good that they got eliminated so kobe can heal up and dominate he needs to get the finger fixed its been fucked up for like 3 years
@vincentrich No, there isn't, but it happens to the greatest of players. So what? Doesn't mean you need to focus on that point just because he's won 5 rings this decade and has clearly generated a lot of hatred from people who were getting sick of the Lakers' dominance.
Technically, he won 5 rings LAST decade, but that's irrelevant. Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest players of all-time. There's no question about that, and IN MY OPINION, he's still the best player in the NBA. Physically, Lebron James has all of the tools, but Kobe's mentality and the diversity of his offensive skills are amazing. Kobe Bryant makes an average basketball game exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Lakers respond....when the lock-out ends.
David Robinson won one at 38. Michael Jordan won one at 35. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won one at 40. Most great NBA players START winning championships in their 30s.
ye but the dude said dominate ye he can win but i dont think as a leader they need a d12 or cp3 to be a leader plus mike brown is trash and players dont win championships teams do player can be a leader of a team like kobe last 2 finals and he was a sidekick and first 3 shaq was the leader
@lbj6mj23 Agreed, but his leadership influences SO MUCH of the Lakers' play. This season he was out of practice a lot because of injuries and the rest of the team slacked off without him to push them. When they see him work all day at his game, that motivates them to work harder, which is exactly why they won those last two championships.
Also he won those 2 fighting through injuries and made no excuses of injuries at the sweep this year. But supposedly he's completely healed now, so who knows.
wow everybody has injuries the lakers just throw them out to the media more i mean its 82 you got hurt and i dont think the lakers can win with their egos and mike brown artest is a head case kobe will kepp ball hoging gasol is still a p***y lol
@lbj6mj23 Yeah and when everybody gets injured they sit out. Kobe fought hard through his injuries through major playoff games. And it wasn't the Lakers propoganda; every sports commentator in the country talked about it because he's probably the most central player of the NBA Championship the last decade.
Artest and Gasol have already won with the Lakers so they've already proven you wrong. I'm not sure how Mike Brown's gonna work out though...
either trade bynum for howard and get chirs paul or deron williams!? and yes i agree to make there bench better! because there bench this year was so not good!!!! keep pau gasol, lamar odom, ron artest, and derek fisher! but hopefully fisher will retire and be like assistant coach to the lakers and mentor the young people!!
Do you really believe that Bynum for Howard is even close to an even trade? If so, I shouldn't even be talking to you....
To all of the other posters, let's not over-react. Everyone's in Armagedon-mode since the Lakers lost, but the fact is that they were one of the top teams in the NBA; there bench is nowhere near as weak as people are claiming, and the players certainly didn't age as much in one year as analysts are claiming. With Kobe healthy, the Lakers could win as is.
Thing is Bynum is probably the only tradable piece, that being said, Howard would be most suitable trade for Bynum. Deron will be a very good upgrade in point but who would they want that we have for Deron? A big for a small is not good, Howard for Bynum (big for big) is probably better then they build around that.
No. You said that Bynum is probably the only "tradeable piece." You went on to say that Bynum for Howard is acceptable, going on to make a non-sensical "big for big/small for small" argument. That is what I claimed was stupid. Maybe you should re-read your own post before making a bigger nuisance of yourself.
instead of making a trade to have dwight howard, probably the better thing to do is to have a better point guard and add better bench players...acquiring chris paul or deron williams will definitely help the lakers...between the two, deron williams will be the most suited point guard to acquire.
@west22222222@tchiu61 after so many hard through battles, i think lakers need a refereshment. i like this exit interview its nice to see kobe being humble

Nice job trying to turn a negative into a positive, but there's nothing good about being eliminated from the playoffs.

If you think that Bynum is fair value for Howard, then you're as stupid as the "big for big/small for small" logic.
