  • A very fine performance - thank you!

  • The pianist has excellent fingers, cutting like steel through the often massive orchestra. The clarinet solo early on is very Weber-like, but otherwise the work is more in the later Romantic style. Quite enjoyable.

  • This is wonderful in variety of ways.

Firstly to hear some Jadassohn at all; then to hear it done so well; and to see it done at a concert and not merely on disc; and again to be 'present' at a concert in a place rather off-the-beaten-track, that is, not in a Paris or new York or Berlin, let alone Moscow; and for the recording to be very good to enjoy work and performance.

So, for so many reasons, bravissimo. And of course thanks for sharing.

  • @uranrising Hi - many thanks for your very positive remarks about the Jadassohn piano concerto!

If you are interested in either (or both) a CD &/or DVD please contact me directly.

You will have gathered that I'm the soloist - Valentina Seferinova, in the performance, and poster of the videos!

  • What a pleasure to be the first to comment.

I hadn't even heard of Salomon Jadassohn until i listened to the 2nd piano concerto on Classic FM today.

great piece and great performance and recording too, even if the video is a little bright!

  • Many thanks for the positive comments.

There's a little bit more about Jadassohn if you click the (more info) link just under my name to the right of the video; hope it's informative.
