  • Whats your computer specs for recording with presonus studio one ?

  • @irsan5777 Pentium i5 with 4 gig ram.

  • @irsan5777 Actually, this video was shot on my Quad core 266 with 2 gig ram.. The high CPU usage is caused by Camtasia. That's the software that's recording the video.

  • Oh, one more thing, regarding your objectivbe commentator. I sem to have gotten a similar 'critique'...but, if you visit his profile, you'll find an anonymous alter ego. One of those who can be called a coward, who likes to shoot others down from behind the bushes. There's a song that could be dedicated to such folk, entitled "IT SUCKS TO BE YOU". Maybe he'd like that one better. Anonymous critics lakcihg personality versus individuals striving to be creative...I'll take the later anyday.

  • @wickmanblue Well, maybe. But if he only knew how much I sold that song for......lol.

  • @themuzic Well, I was told "please don't make another like that" and same thing, I get paid just as much for my throw aways as...well...you know, I'm sure. I got this advice ages ago..."don't be afraid to alienate anyone"...if you are afraid of what others might think, you'll produce nothing. Besides, you got paid. I am wondering, given what I've seen on his page (absolutely nothing) how much did he get? But ya never kno, might be a magazine out there in need of a good ole objective critic.

  • I'm about to replace a NanoKontrol with a Faderport. The only thing good I can say about Nano is that it works, but, if you have more than 8 tracks, you find yourself having to adjust the added tracks via mouse anyway. Faderport has only one slider, but, looks like it's got an eficient way of accessing additional tracks and also, when returning to a track, bring back the slider to a proper reference point...hesitation prob...well, maybe that's a minor consideration given the other good points!

  • @wickmanblue Yes. the Faderport is still well worth the $125 because it accesses every part of Studio One, Cubase, Logic or what ever you're running. It's actually perfect even for a 20 track mix, despite having only 1 fader. I feel the need for a multi fader device less and less all the time.

  • Maybe the hesitation in your clip is due to the fact that the computer is reluctant to actually render the awful fucking music . If you wrote that fucking Birthday-Card/ Elevator Music on your system then I'm surprised it all still works at all.

  • @solarflares1058 Yes, thanx for that. It was an example song actually but It's good to hear from someone with such an objective view of music in general. Let me know when you post a song and I promise to be just as objective.

  • Yeah my Panpot is fucked as well

  • just bought my faderport used from guitar center online. i use it with pro tools 8 and the pan knob is extremely unresponsive. i am not even trying to use it as a jog wheel. just the pan function. very jumpy. terrible. i guess i have a faulty unit.

  • @Birdman1138 That you do sir. Call Presonus and they may be able to fix it for you.

  • my faderport pan knob is very very jumpy...your faderport performance is smooth compared to mine..very smooth...
