This is very noble of you. This video was taken in 2007. I was in Darjeeling in March 2009 but didn't see them as I passed by that street. We can perhaps get someone in Darjeeling to find out if these guys are still there.

they are still there. I was there last Oct and Nov and pretty much I saw them everyday. They were making good money. I didn't see less than ten rupees.

No wonder Darjeeling is the music capital of the nepalese people. Even the street singers burst with raw talent. I couldnt imagine nepalese music industry without Darjeeling and Sikkim. Way to go my Darejeelinge brothers.......

I always liked this song and all Narayan Gopal's song. These kids sang the song with a genuine message and emotion. Words come to life with their voices and sarangi.

Yes. They all sang with their hearts. I was totally mesmerized. Its sad they have to sing by the roadside. I hope some music director sees this video, and records an album with them - gives them their rightful place. They might still be singing by the roadside in Darjeeling.
