heres a fun fact, the BAR was invented during WW1 but was never used in combat, it was most used in WW2 but still didnt leave, The BAR saw action in korea, and in the start of Vietnam

This is Polish version of BAR called wz.28 or FN BAR.

@1337n1ck I dont think so. The BAR as you see in this video has a bit more masive body, the butt stock is placed lower and the barrel is shorter. Also it has a handle for the weapon to be caried with ease and the underbarell wooden grip is much biger in polish variant

I actually got a message from the gun owner, it turns out it IS a BAR type D. However, most people refer to BAR meaning the BAR 1918A3, the classic videogame BAR. That version has a slight pistol grip integrated into the stock, whereas the Type D and Wz26 both have a full pistol grip and a different looking barrel/gas assembly.

i think this is a fal. it looks more like an fal . the fal kicked like an sob on full auto so the british modifyed it into the semi auto l1a1. good rifle. jammed a little more than the m14 though due to intolerances in the action. nato was pushing th usa in to adopting the fal insted we adopted the m14.

Look real close at the buttstock at the trigger.This weapon IS NOT a Browning Automatic Rifle. This is a FAL( originally made in Belgum,in the 1960's).This weapon has a pistolgrip. BAR's didn't have pistolgrips.

Actually they did incorporate a pistol grip in the 1924 and later variants. It's clearly not a FAL, you can tell because the piston is under the barrel (typical of American automatic rifles during that time), while the FAL has the piston above the barrel. Also FAL handguards cover the entire barrel and piston assembly, and are thin and round, unlike the one shown here. The FAL stocks are also polymer. I know, I have one. A FAL that is, not a BAR (I wish).

you got the belgium part right but this most definatley isnt a fn fal. In no way is it a fal. Its a browning wz 1928. A BAR variant made in belgium.

Id rather have a semi auto pkm than a bar. Although the bar is a classic im not a fan of the 20 round magizine. Id rather have the hundred round belt. The ammo is cheaper too.

Yeah, 7.62R is definitely cheaper. The 20 round mags are fairly reasonable though, 30-06 is a hard-hitting round. I wish it had a pistol grip though, it's current stock doesn't look too comfortable.

Maybe in a few years when Obama screws up and the US falls into anarchy, but even then I doubt criminals would have any use for a weapon like the BAR. At least not nowadays, I hear Clyde Barrow was pretty fond of them though. He had a custom one that he sawed down to make it more concealable.

Well, there are a few versions of the BAR that fires up to 650 round per minute. Two times faster than the firing rate of the other versions.

Actually, it's a BAR FN M30 Model D.

Te FM30 was a lincense-produced copy of the BAR, with some improvements, and was made in Belgium, and used by the Belgian and Polish armies in WW2.

The model D is a post-war version with a replaceable barrel. Used by the Belgian army.
