  • will this work on my ex wifes cars wheel bolts ?

  • *Goes into an Apple store*

  • his voice gives me a boner

  • good idea to ruin your neighbor's car engine! it'll cost him as he owes me!

  • do you use voice changing software?

  • i know how to discribe it aluminum foil

  • So a terrorist can take that on a plane?

  • so is gallium safe to use with zinc and copper for cpu heatsinks?

  • fuck you nerdrage adwhores

  • Did it form an alloy or whaddup ?

  • its cuz the center is made of copper.

  • Can't wait to Galliumlock an Aluminum Engine Block, hehehehehe.

  • the car would have to be really hot for as long as the gallium invades

    REALLY hot

  • @WeeHaScootchy

no. gallium is liquid at room temperature. which is why he could touch it with his latex gloves w/o them melting

  • @stbmoo Close but wrong. 86 degrees F. Must be hot in that room.

  • @neumei626

if you live in the south during the summer its room temperature XD

  • put it on a car then punch it the next day in front of someone...

  • Don't tell the terrorists, If they find out that they can melt our planes we're f****

  • @andypmz07 I'd use Mercury to smelt a plane /watch?v=Z7Ilxsu-JlY&feature=related

  • @Isenmouthe thats well cool!

  • man you are genius, like the guy on Breakin Bad :) nice videos

  • What would this do to a cast aluminium engine block?

  • @Evipicc put it on your friends car and see...

  • Doesnt ship to Canada ! my life is ruined ! D:

  • Is your voice naturally deep or are you a giant?

  • @GreenDay3213 Microsoft Sam

  • @giovannhvf its not microsoft sam.....

  • I smashed a fake wall in my room when my friend was sleeping, and BOY, HE WAS SCARED SHIT!

  • Блядь че произошло?!

  • I saw hkparker make aluminum reactive(not really good wording) by stripping it's protective oxide layer (with gallium) and reacting the aluminum with water to make hydrogen, leaving the gallium unreacted. I was wondering if you could do this with the gallium/aluminum alloy you made in this video or would stop this from occurring, I assume it would, but would like to check.

  • Mercury eats through gold and was used in fever thermometers. Now it has been replaced by galistan which contains galium and that eats through aluminium.

What does that mean? Will all gold be replaced by aluminium now, or will terrorists attack planes with fever thermometers?!?

  • @AerialTheShamen You can't bring a thermometer onto planes.

  • So... aircraft are primarily made from aluminium... next thing to be banned in airports?

  • Comment removed

  • Whoa.

  • Gallium

  • Could ionized gallium cause this to happen faster? Or can you give gallium a charge at all?

  • @Sazime Well, you could dissolve a Gallium salt in water and then electroplate it onto a piece of Aluminium.

  • He he talked about superman he sounded more like Arnold

  • you if you had a tank.. out of aluminum.. just put gallium on it.. wait over night.. and kick it? and fall apart?

  • Simobgbgbg is just jealous of your AWESOMENESS NURDRAGE I LOVE YOU

  • can the world run out of gallium

  • Is that your real voice? You sound like you are using a voice changer.

  • Gotta say! I love the videos mate!

    Keep up the awesome work!

  • @simobgbgbg If you expected videos on youtube to have a point, you clearly haven't been on youtube very long ;)

  • @NurdRage what heatsink did you use? Intel?

  • @johnwest19995

That is an intel P4 heatsink, though almost any of the standard boxed heatsinks will work. Some of the more expensive after market coolers are made from different metals.

  • @simobgbgbg The point of this video is to inform. I didnt know about gallium and aluminium reactions but now i do.

  • @simobgbgbg no no no. You dont feel like an idot, don't blame yourself. You ARE an idiot

  • Comment removed

  • How would gallium affect anodized aluminum?

  • @mbradc2002 It won't do much unless you scratch off some of the anodizing.

  • a gallium terror.

  • i bought 15 g's of gallium its VERY EXPENSIVE 40 bucks

  • @BLUYES422 Have you looked at other suppliers of Ga? GalliumSource easily beats out Sigma-Aldrich and Sargeant-Welch. And $40 might seem like a lot compared to Mg, Al, or Fe, but mostly that's just due to low demand.

  • @fatfail96923 its not

  • Please try this at home^^

  • try this with a macbook air, good thing its aluminum

  • Easier then crackers? Sweet!

  • So you said it will make us feel like superman crushireal metal. I thought It was still considered real metal.

  • @xXAmericanbigboyXx He's saying crushing real metal will make you feel like Superman.

  • you broke it

    break heat sink = subscrube

  • cool :)

  • COOL NOW I CAN'T WAIT TIO PUT 1 LITER OF GALLIUM ON MY FRIENDS CAR

  • his...voice... xD

  • The voice alteration is so obvious...

  • @bt97gml That's what I thought at first, too.

  • Gallium looks fun. :D

  • So this is what Saw does in his spare time?

  • Oh crap! I applied this instead of thermal paste!

  • @bbob919 That would be a nightmare, but I don't think the Gallium would react fast enough to damage your heatsink before all hell breaks loose. The top of the CPU is likely made out of a mix of copper and nickel so we'd have to ask NurdRage if it would have any effects.

  • cant wait to fuck up my friends car

  • @elflordbob1 They actually considered using something similar to this to destroy German planes in WW2.

  • @elflordbob1 it won't work unless your friend's car is made of aluminum instead of steel

  • @HyperSpify

i thought the body was made from aluminium

  • @elflordbob1 im glad im not your enemy

  • @elflordbob1 cover the car with it and dwalk away XD

  • @elflordbob1 Friend may fuck up your face; I would (if you did that, lol).

  • Is the alluminium still flamable? I mean, it would be a lot easier to pulverize alluminium and then use it for reduction reactions....

  • now apply gallium onto a macbook pro

  • is your name really N. Butyl Lithium? not that its important..

  • And how do we know you're not a superman?

  • @TheError404 Because he's HackSaw

  • i have nearly the same heat sink :D

  • just some facts about hydrogen sulfide... 1. corrosive to iron. 2. saluble to still water, but once disturbed it leaves the water (google "h2s gas buster" or "open top frac tank"). 3. heavier than air. 4. it attcks your nervous system causing complete paralysis before death. 5. when burned it creates SO2 (sulfer dioxide) gas, which is also poisonous but lighter than air.

google: "workover rig", "h2s separator", "flarestack"

  • h2s is what makes south texas oilfeild hands money, for safety companies at least. my dad is assistant manager for the biggest one in the US, ask me anything about h2s and i can give you a quick answer. 500ppm will kill you without warning, if you are ever driving down the street and smell a strong rotten egg smell... your passenger didnt just cut a fart its actually h2s coming from 9,000 ft. below the ground... i know ive breathed in high concentrations. trust me just dont fuck with it.

  • @heyyou13579 cool story, bro

  • How much gallium did you use?

I am not familiar with the volume and the weight could you please explain?

  • I am just curious but can this be used to recycle the computer fan or processor things used in this video?

  • is galium a good heat transmitter? because even if the sink wasn't made of aluminium, if it melts at 36 degrees it would make a poor thermic paste xD

  • like breaking stale american cheese?

  • try mercury and aluminum

  • You're one crazy motherfucker Mr. NerdRage.

  • Why do you use a voice changer?

  • I guess I should stop using pure gallium as thermal compound then...

  • gallium is pretty intresting because is a liquid in your hand and solid when you put it on a table do they have an practical uses for it?

  • @CTGrenier semiconductor doping and photovoltaic cells.

  • What would result if you put copper and gallium together? I'm thinking this would be useful to retrieve the copper core from some aluminum heat sinks.

  • Is there a certain book that has taught you all these experiments...or the breakdowns of better understanding the groundwork of the reactions?

  • Thats like 500 dollars worth of gallium

  • @NurdRage whats H2S? and why is it so dangerous?

  • @Millwasx

    H2S

    hydrogen sulfide

  • @Millwasx Hydrogen sulfide. It funks over your nervous system.

  • If the tin boat is made of aluminum it will

  • Could a piece of Gallium break a tin boat?

  • Toss a little mercury in there for some giggles.

  • Compare the reaction of Mercury and Aluminum to the reaction of Gallium and Aluminum.

  • You must eat some pretty hard crackers.

  • STFU and LISTEN. The manufacture of explosives, weapons, nerve gases and other dangerous stuff is against the YouTube policies. So, If you intend to make them, make them yourself and then show up on YouTube if you wanted. Other than the video will be down immidiatelly, your account will be closed and you will probably also be watched by the FBI and other "crap" agencies do you want THAT to happen to NurdRage?? Think again and don't call the devil..

  • just imagine gallium+Aifel tower=?

  • @MrGome120 Gallium doesn't react to the steel beams in the Effiel Tower, if the tower were made of alluminium, then yeah, adding gallium would be bad.

  • @AshThePhantom Shame on me for spelling "Eiffel" wrong.

  • @MrGome120 The Eiffel Tower is made of steel- no gallium degrading.

  • What kind of witchcraft is this?

  • 01010100 01001000 01001001 01010011 00100000 01001001 01010011 00100000 01000001 01010111 01000101 01010011 01001111 01001101 01000101 00001101 00001010 binary translator to translate this

  • @jennifer401000 thats what bender used to time travel in futurama

  • @jennifer401000 This is awesome?

  • @Convict147 yep

  • Just say NO to Gallium

  • gallium is bad! : ) make it go away

  • Is copper suceptible to gallium intrusion? if so, what metals are `safe' from gallium?

  • do that to a guy's computer = that guy going after you with anger

but cool experiment i would like to do this experement

  • Awesome experiment on one of those crappy stock coolers :-)

  • I DID THIS TO MY LITTLE BROTHERS COMPUTER YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN HIS FACE! xD

  • also how doesnt the grey stuff dissolve your hands ?

  • @jawdenizdakilla232 It's not an acid, it won't react with everything.

  • hey is this your job ? cuz if it is please hire me !

  • Add some mercury with the gallium and it will eat right through that core!

  • Could ruin an airplane.

  • hey nurdrage, can you continue the video where the gallium successfully penetrate the middle part of the heat sink

  • can you make a video on how to make a homemade fog machine without needing dry ice? My mom wont let me use it :\

  • You could you this to break through locks and rob places :D

  • Anything useful you can do with the remains afterwards?

  • in your expierience what is the average rate of diffusion ? is this easily accelerable ? is this stable or volitile? what range of metals is this effective against? A major problem with armoured fighting vehicles is getting crew out of not quite so roadworthy vehicles, this also has potential in any other casualty removal situation? collapsed buildings crushed vehicles, could this be a potentially helpfull technique in surgery removing shrapnell ect

  • add some mercury after a little bit of gallium

  • gallium looks like molten lead

  • ... but. why did you alter your voice.

  • Does gallium have any industrial uses?

  • iv herd that a guy had a 22 ton block of aluminium and 45 pounds of galium and her poured it all over and he waited a few days and in smached to bits from its own wait

  • Nurdrage....YOU'RE TOO AWESOME! :D:D:D

  • @NurdRage Nerds... Love the vids.

  • galuim is non toxic hes wereing golvs so it wont stick to his hands

  • teach us how to make H2S by using normal household items like wc cleaner etc .

  • @elitotaku no, H2S is lethal in high enough concentrations.

  • @NurdRage yeah i know but anything is lethal if you use it wrong :P

  • @elitotaku If you have to ask me how to make H2S then you don't know how to use it right.

What would you use H2S for that would justify the risk?

  • @NurdRage well i suppose you mix sulphur and hydroclorid acid. i think

im not gona use it for anything would just be cool how to mix something that deadly with normal household items

  • @NurdRage I agree with NurdRage. But i think i can help you. To make H2S all you have to do is leave a couple of eggs to rot. The gas that makes rotten eggs smell so bad is in fact H2S. That way you won't poison your self since the amount produced is very small.

  • @NurdRage isen't hs2 hydrogen sulfide and only used in upscale chemistry that anyone without a degree really has no use for

  • @NurdRage I think he meant H2SO4

  • @geurgeury No he ment H2S.

  • @NurdRage ( hes a terrorist)

  • @NurdRage sorry to bother you but what is H2S

  • Comment removed

  • @NurdRage AFAIK it's lethal within seconds at 0.5% concentration, about as toxic as HCN! The only difference being that you can smell H2S much earlier.

  • @elitotaku Why would you want Hydrogen sulfide???? To Poison your self? Plus theres really no use to it

  • @elitotaku It's like wanting cyanide gas.

  • @elitotaku H2S is not something to mess with. It will kill you with very little warning.Trust me. I was in the hospital with a high level exposure earlier this year on a gas well. any higher, and i might not be here. took 2 weeks to get my sense of smell back.

  • @elitotaku To create H2S isnt that hard but the problem is the created substances are as deadly as they can be. For example sodium sulfite is a component you can get and that is just terribly wrong for you health and what so ever so do not try it.

just let an egg rot and your done ;)

  • @elitotaku its easy teach your self thats what internet is for..dont implicate anyone in what ever silly shit your planing there is no practical usage for it in anything anyone at home would want to do its deadly in parts per million and it takes one breath to kill in low amounts..doesnt sound like a good science experiment its will kill you faster than the strongest nerve gas if you have a decent breath of it in a small space

  • @1ukjunglednbraver It will not kill you faster than the strongest nerve gas. The problem with "educators" on the internet is not that they do not know stuff. It's that they over-exaggerate things to the point of it being wrong.

  • @Aviatorsmith i think nerve gas takes a few miniutes this stuff is faster

  • Hey NurdRage, if I procured a large enough amount of gallium and diffused it into an aluminum bat, could I prank a friend into thinking I'd be beating him with the bat only to have it fall apart on impact?

  • I finally tried this in chem class and the only way I can describe this is how an oreo feels after being dunked in warm milk...xD

  • So why do you use the voice changer

  • Comment removed

  • If i get Gallium and do this, how is it supposed to be disposed of afterwards?

  • can you recover the gallium after it has reacted?

  • Cut the core with a knife! :)

  • How about with a nickle plated copper heatsink?

  • You're on SF6 aren't you...

  • Breaks almost up like chocolate bar
