  • Great!!

  • thats pertty cool man what year is your strat? and amp you use man?

    cheers

  • @souvlaki978 the Strat is made out ofa 1989 Fender body and a Mighty Mite neck.

Suhr single coils and a Duncan JB humbucker.

  • suuuper qko, vasko! :)

  • Towars the end I think you use way too much wah. Should just use the wah to accentuate certain parts I think, you let the sound kind of get too tiresome.

Just a matter of taste nonetheless, great playing! =) Cheers

  • Thank Ya Jeeeessuuuussss!!!!!!

    jkjk

but Good playing keep up the good work.

  • Aweeeessooooommeee DOOOD!! :D yur really great! man!

    Keep playin guitar (;

  • To "Tommy" on his comment. I am nowhere near as good as this guy but I think that this video is bad-ass for what it was - a fairly sanitary tutorial based solely on his technique so to say that he needed to play to your standards is a moot point. Had he been playing on stage or in another environment I am sure that there would have been a lot more action than was shown here so hats off to all musicians with guts enough to let it all hang out. ROCK ON!!

  • i really like the sound youve got going on..what scale were you using on the very first couple riffs?

  • the scales you were using didnt quite match the track man, but it sounds cool still. Peace

  • Thanks dude, I guess we all have different ears, but that's cool. ;-)

  • where did you get this backing track?

  • haha generr is absolutely right. totally reminded me of that.

  • I really enjoyed this video. Love the tone you are getting and your technique and feel are just amazingly refreshing to listen to. Thank you for sharing your talents. Best regards. 5 stars from me.

  • This is nice & inspiring; I come back from time to time to hear it again; makes me feel like picking up my guitar...

  • what pedal are you using?

  • sounds like an intro to a chili peppers concert

  • holy fuck, you're good

  • tight brother

  • tommyjob you seriously have no clue of what you're talking about. you think that the greatest professional musicians in the world worry about looking "sexy" first and foremost? give me a break bro. don't get me wrong, i agree with 'feeling it' but technique should always come first. remember, the best musicians are the ones who can balance both techique/theory (left-side of brain) with creativity/articulation (right-side of brain). musicianship needs both parts and the player did just that. nice

  • I agree mrabatich . Frusciante for sure was there !

  • ooh nice. ddguitar's down... :(

  • click on the photograph and you'll go to my myspace. ;-)

  • sounds like righteous and the wicked by the chili peppers

  • Juypp, irt is.

  • Tight, but your hands lack character, learn to play sexy. It's like watching a robot play. Infact that goes for the entire body, feel it in your spine and you'll be jamming in every sense of the word.

  • You couldn't see my butt movin' an' groovin', baby. ;-))

  • do you play guitar?

  • johnsified Brova

  • Very nice, but I think overdrive would've been better over distortion, because I think that's what I'm hearing.

  • Great solo, someparts are just like mike stern style. Very good tendence!! Are you playin´ in a playback or it´s a band song?

  • i love it dude keep funk alive i love the use of the thumb i do that too.

  • where did you get this jam track? man I wanna play with this too LOL =P

  • funkin sweet

  • i really enjoyed this video.

  • the thumb's totally fine where it is, look at hendrix, he pioneered that

  • play where your comfortable. your thumb being there obviously doesn't effect your sound. don't fix something if it isn't broken

  • play where ur comfortable-- hendrix licks with his teeth

  • very good taste

  • Nice....

  • yo!! chill out man its my keyboard's mistake hehe

  • "not very bad to make ur own style " i wanted to say! keep tryin

  • dude...keeping your thumb behind your neck does wierd things to your spelling. :-))

  • yo man thats good.... but that thumb up there.... its not very right... listen to me... guitar is my life im a leader of a band but this is not smtin important... you r talented... and its vary bad that ur tryin to meka ur style....

but.... well done this is pretty cool ..

  • its bad technique but I personally can play better with my thumb there compared to behind the neck constantly, like people try to teach.

  • What? Let him worry about his technique. It certainly hasn't seemed to hamper his ideas, creativity, feel, sound, etc.. I don't care how he makes his sound, but I like the sound he makes

  • damn straight.

  • BLADE R4 GOODDDDD

  • Great video overall, if I was you I would lose the reverb/delay. Just my opinion. great playing though.

  • wut scale do you use??

  • the scale of jam, brother!

figure it out yourself, and experiment with the 6s.

  • I play in a couple of bands, thanks.

  • way cool! Shred funk!

  • I play in a couple of bands. Thanks.

  • dude your way better than i will be in the next 10 years, but one thing....the technique isn't so good. put your thumb parallel to either your first or second finger (meaning behind the neck)

  • Dude...if you continue thinking like that you will certainly not progress. My thumb is were it should be for the style I am playing. ;-)

if your guitar teacher says otherwise...find somebody else. ;-))

  • ownag3r, his thumb is in the right place. It all depends on what kind of music you play. If he were to play classical guitar his thumb would be behind the neck, near the center. But if you watch Hendrix play, his thumb is always how this guy's is. He would play base notes with his thumb. Watch his woodstock improvisation and you'll see what I mean.

  • love it!

  • fuck your good

  • very nice, may i suggest you start playing as a studio guitarist for local recording engineers if you are not already?

  • There is nothing I would like more than that, thanks. ;-)

  • yeah asi se toka killo!funkman

  • buen solo man...

  • Awesome!!! Great Feeel!!!

  • sorry, don't like the sound, but what you play is cool... excellent technique, of course

  • je l'ai aime ca, tu est formidablr gars...fout contunuer!!

  • what song is this or is this your own song?

  • It's just me making things up on the spot to a jam track backing.

  • nice job dude.

  • thats real realreal good

    good job

just one itsy bitsy thing would maybe to have little bits that you repeat for a while to add to the whole funk thing-like do the solo bit then just for a few bars get stuck in a little repetitive riff

    but well done

  • nice job ^^

  • very nice

  • wow u are shredding i love your style.

  • this is not a stratocaster, is a rocket special from a marshall pack

  • It says fender on the headstock genius

  • Great job love this jam track, nice licks too! Keep Rockin'!

  • Ohhh yea.. nice... had me groovin.

Dang, now I wanna plug in the Strat but it's too late.

  • great backingtrack, where do you have them ?

  • From a guy called "Red Ant" on the "Gear Page Forum"

  • woah this is great! did u do the backing urself, coz tht would really be mega-impressive

  • nice job, great taste and chops, had a jazz fusion/funk/blues feel to it, which I really dig

  • groovy

  • Very well done. I enjoyed it. Im also just curious where you got that track from. Ive seen other videos with that same track on it. Sounds really good, and so do you. Keep it up bud.

  • Thanks dude, I really appreciate your comment.
