  • @Scotty3663 Ummmm, they are looking at the light 5 mile away or more.Far too long

  • robbens road

  • I have a question. this spot where everyone seems to see these Paulding lights are at the end of Old 45 with a guard rail and power lines facing the town of Paulding 5 miles north. I have read posting on websites and people use spotting scopes confirming u can see car lights, but there is a area that people mistake for the Paulding lights and end up on Old 45 when they should be at the end of Robbins pound just south of Old 45 where people say is the real lights, I'm not sure could anyone help?

  • @sparrowcloud ok the paulding light is real so you know ok the paulding light is a man who died beacuse he was a train person and he had a lamp and the person in the train killed him, he is looking for the man for revenge so it's kind of like ok he is a ghost cool right. i know you think it's fake but really it's the ghost i was there once. check out dawnydawnh's (my mom) sight im in it im the one going 'cool ok grandma can i buy one of those paulding light things?' and she said what i said hats

  • @mimergimers That one theory,it was said that a native group was peforming a dance ritual there then somethin happen i think.Another one was that a mailman was near the railroad and was killed by a robber.

  • @BARRERA2U then how is the light there your soo stupid

  • @mimergimers Ummm,it kinda of the same thing you just said.So you called yourself stupid, stupid. And they said the mailman had lost his head and he carried a lantern to find it,the native dance will have fire and the light probably was fire or torches but it a mystery.

  • @BARRERA2U i said your stupid and it was not a mail man it was a train tracker they say all abord!!!

  • @mimergimers Did you watch Fact or Fake:Paranormal Files ?And there is three theorie stupid!!!!

  • @BARRERA2U i went to see the paulding light idiot!!!!!

  • @BARRERA2U yeah i seen that, and the other 2 theories are ruled out by the first thing they did... when they went to where the light is there was nothing there so it was never going to be a plane, or a car was it? and for some reason you can only see it from this sort of angle (well it seems to be the only angle on all the videos)... leads me to think light refraction, similar sort of thing to a rainbow

cant walk to the origin of a rainbow can you?

  • This guy is an idiot... a belching idiot as he walks, whines, and belches on camera. IT IS THE DAY TIME! That means you won't see the lights Belching Genius!

  • I think it is either bigfoot with a flashlight or north and southbound vehicles. Hummmm

  • You're supposed to go when it gets dark. Really, did you actually think that you could see a light like that in the daytime? I'm not saying the light is real, but geez dude, use your brain.

  • Go look up the C&NW Railroad and click on their System Map. It will show the line north from Watersmeet through Interior to Railford. Make sure you see the Maps from 1905-1909 because this Branch was gone by the late 1920s. You are correct in that it is hilly

but for a Branchline, the hills would not have been a major problem. Trains were not that heavy back then like they are today.

  • @LCRV1

Just for reference, I own a station map for C&NW from July 1926, and it still lists a Paulding station (#3768), so it was post 26 when it was closed at least (just a factoid :) ).

The road is blocked off currently because there is whats best described as a swamp (Heavy rain times of the year, its a creek) that crosses the road bed. There appears that a very minor bridge that was taken out, making that section impassable.

The light is cars, but its still a great area to visit!

  • @burninbiomass Pretty neat indeed...now we know for sure there was a Railroad there.

As for the light...it looks exactly like our own light down here in SC. I am more interested in the Railroad. I wish someone could find a picture from that time period, when the tracks were still there. It being only a Branch line, I wonder just how busy it was. All traces of it just seem to vanish north of Paulding.

  • @LCRV1 Hey are you talking about the Summerville Light? Never have seen it in the few attempts i made:( Do you think they are car lights or swamp gas?

  • @SoulSurferGS8 Hey Soul Surfer...I was referring to the Jacksonboro Light. Did not know about the Summerville Light!!!! We also have the Land's End Light down here too.

Both are very strange. The Land's End Light is on YouTube..check it out. (Beaufort Ghost Light) In both cases, they both look just like the Paulding Light!!!! I believe from what I can see, they are not Car Lights. And the Light I have seen here is not Car lights because there is no Road!!! (Old abandoned Railroad)

  • @burninbiomass I tried to find that Station Map but could not. Did the railroad go past Paulding??? Man, that grade sure is steep I have to admit, but I know it was the railroad because there was a place called Interior just north of Watersmeet and on Google, you can see Interior Road just north of Robbins Pond..a Dirt Road that connects back to Robbins Pond!!! Pretty neat....I think it was only a Branchline.

  • It was the Railroad....some lines were built without major Cuts or Fills. This was just a Branch of the C&NW, so extensive grades would not have been necessary, especially

back at the turn of the Century. The fact that the old Grade crosses Highway 45 on it's North/South path plus the fact you can trace it on Google back to Watersmeet, that tells me it was the Railroad. The Map from 1905 shows this line heading north out of Watersmeet...this was it. Also, the station "Interior" was here too.

  • @LCRV1

I think the confusion is that after the spur line was pulled, an actual road was put in its place (or one ran beside the line). You see the light from the road bed that was used most recently as 45(old), but there cold have been a railroad under there. The problem all the maps I find are general, and not specific as to where that spur was exactly located.

  • There have never been tracks through that area from what i can tell from old maps and news articles. I have never found any evidence that would lead me to think that tracks ever went through their since its way too hilly, but because of the long straight shot of old hwy 45 it gives the optical illusion that it was once a railway. It is this long straight shot that also lines up the hill with the next hill that allows the car lights to be seen for such a long distance.

  • @kuhrd Your wrong. It not even visible at all.

  • I was able to research the history of the C&NW Railroad. They operated a Branch here

around 1905. It had a few Spur Tracks off it as well. It was gone by 1929 so it has been abandoned for a long time. This is in fact, the old Railroad Grade. Would you happen to know the point where you got on this part of the trail??? There was aStation here somewhere called Interior.

  • I wonder what the indians had to say about this. I dont belive in ghosts.

  • Thanks for replying...Yesterday I Googled this area and I do believe this is infact

the old Railroad Grade. On the Satelite Photos, you can follow this Right of Way

for miles, but then all traces just vanish to the north, so I can't be sure how far it went.

I traced it back south to Watersmeet and it looks as though at one time it crossed yet another abandoned line and continued south.

  • The "Path" you are walking on IS an abandoned railroad road bed. You can tell by the width of the path which is 15 feet wide. The stone you are walking on is "Ballast" used to drain water away from the ties. Because of the red tint to the ground, my guess it's an ore carrying railroad which used to go to iron mines. When I saw the video of the light, I thought it looks like a locomotive head light. I grew up on the C&O Railroad and am a railfan. As for what it is? Don't know.

  • This looks like the old Railroad Grade....does anyone know the History of when the Railroad ran here and when it was abandoned??? the guy in the Video says there is no sign of the railroad, but It looks like he is walking on it...notice the Gravel and the cut it

is running through. we have a similar light down here in South carolina

  • @LCRV1 The Chicago & North Western owed that road bed. The C&NW along with the Lake Superior & Ishpeming, Soo Line and the Escanaba & Lake Superior were the 4 iron ore hauling roads which served the iron mines in the area. B4 that it was lumber.

  • Is this the one in Arkansas?

  • @vetofwar Its in Watersmeet Michigan...

  • dude you are such a dumb fuck oh yeah will find the paulding light in the day loser lol

  • are you sure you were on the right road...where I saw them there was plenty of room for cars on both shoulders...not sarcastic....just asking...and thumbs up for your video

  • You cant see the paulding light durn the day. Having been there many times i have found the best time is about 10p.m.

  • which railroad ran on that embankment way back when?

  • @granskare It was a Branch of the C&NW Railroad. I saw a Map from 1905 and it showed the line extending north to a place called Interior Jct, where a Spur ran off to the

east. It went further north to a place called Railford. and another Spur headed west and stopped. My 1929 map does not show the branch at all so it must have been abandoned early on. Interior Jct and Station looks to be right in the area where that Light is seen.

  • @LCRV1 thanks :)

  • @granskare You are welcome Granskare. I looked for Hours til I found the Maps on the various C&NW websites. The line has been gone for a long time but it was there once.

If I can dig anything else up on it I will let you know. I sure would like to come visit this place!!! It is neat...I just can't figure out why the road is blocked off with those Barricades.

  • Well there went almost three minutes of my life, wasted!

  • stop shaking dude
