  • SRV puts so much passion into his music, He is what music is all about!

  • If you really think about it the white man actually did create the blues

  • @cokokris1 dude stop hating whites dude its music i dont even know why were arguing this o yeahy and did you say B.B. King? well he is one of the founders of blues and he has played with whites including john mayer, eric clapton, sheryl crow, and a lot more. so stop hating, whites can play with blacks and come together, too.....

  • Blacks invented Blues and SRV is playing White Boy Blues and there ain't nothing you or I can do about it.

  • @cokokris1 I KNOW YOUR A PECKERWOOD , YOU GIVE WHITE TRASH A BAD NAME, AND YOU THINK YOUR SMART BUT YOUR A COWARD! YOU LIKE TO START TROUBLE AND YOUR A LITTLE WHITE BOY, WHO LIVE'S WITH YOUR POOR MAMA AND YOU DON'T HAVE A GIRL FRIEND, AND YOU GET OFF TALKING TRASH, AND I BET YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND SAY " ARE TALKING TO ME ,,I KNOW YOUR NOT TALKING TO ME" BUT IN FRONT OF A MAN YOU ARE A COWARD ! AND YOU HAVE NO TALENT OR RHYTHM ! LITTLE WHITE BOY !

  • @cokokris1 you are one ignorant man. I am black and I love music from all races and I also enjoy all genres of music. I like SRV as well as Hendrix, Ernie Isley, Van Halen, John Coletrane, Eric Gales and so much more. Music is all about the feeling when you bend those strings on that axe and not about the color. SRV had a ton of respect for Albert King (a legendary black blues guitarist) & played alongside him numerous times. Both had respect for each other and the music. Color was not an issue.

  • Brakuje mi tu polskich komentarzy

  • I think Stevie died b/c he didn't want to be on this planet when JB was too.....

    JK. SRV is the bomb

  • amazing track. there's so so much soul in his playing. what a guitarist :)

  • there may be only 3 blacks left who can produce actual music but I say having giving the world, Gospel, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Doo Wopp, Rock and Roll, Disco, Disco Soul, Hip Hop, Rap,Funk, Funk Soul,Neo Soul, its time for the rest of you Races to get busy. Give us Black Americans some culture love back, ok? Stay Black until we get back. Not Trolling just noting the truth, I know some of you White people wanna say music knows no Color, ok then Y'all bring some music to the table. Stop hating.

  • @cokokris1 BLACKS DID NOT INVENT MUSIC you clown so stop with the bs.....and get off the pipe.....

  • @cokokris1 i am white and my wife is black we have been together for 27 years and have two sons, and i play the guitar, and my wife sings,, but i know your type, your just jealous because you have no talent, and no rhythm and can't even play the spoons!,, and you can't stand white's with great talent,,you can't get past the color of your own skin, that is why you will always be a miserable person, and lets what you got little boy !,,,in my book stevie ray is the best guitarist ever !

  • @cokokris1 and you said it only three blacks left that can make live music,, so the best live music is by white bands 99.9% , don't get mad because you and your homeboys do not have talent or rhythm!,, and i bet you live with your mama ! i will pray for you ,,,peace

  • Ten people have NO idea what music is...

  • i like buttsex

  • Mi fa impazzire questo branoooooooo!!!!=)=)=)Mia////

  • What is trolling? I am just telling the truth and you know it, WHITE BOY BLUES, real blues does'nt sound like that, I am a Negro from Mississippi, Sorry White folks, y'all blues sound like noise, hehehe

  • @cokokris1 Dont be made just because there are only like 3 black people left in the world that can produce actual music.

SRV is a pretty amazing guitarist. Id be pretty happy if I could play even close to as good as he can. Fast and clean.

  • Dragonforce are fast ? LOL

  • @MimilJD dragonforce sounds so fake, like they sound like computers or somethin

  • @spenjax1111 It's not very difficult to play a dragonforce's music. You just have to throw your guitar down the stairs plugged and with a lot of gain. I think they record like this in studio am i right ?

SRV is my favourite guitarist because he played music, not noise. People who like (and know only band) like dragonforce piss me off. Why don't they just listen to real music ? Sometimes i think they are just poor ignorants.

  • nigga, tha video up there, not down here!

  • very it is sorry that he is not with us...

  • Him and his dad dies the same day 4 years apart. he was only 35 when he died. what a loss

  • son of hendrix bwahh.............who son of who, stevie cest emperor ya!!!!

  • Not even Chuck Norris can play t guitar as fast as SRV.

  • @Ziminho19 as fast he can, not as good

  • Jimi Hendrix`s son!

  • @zubek110 hell no

  • check out my channel if you like the blues, go to the 1950's and 1960's playlist to find SRV's influences

  • All you people below pipe down, this is holy ground.

  • @Nem33 Don't like it, don't read it, homie. Me and dumb ass are having a semantics class about race and music. You can always just listen to how good this man (not this white or black man) plays.

  • @cs868 "Don't like it, don't read it, homie." Well first off, homie, once you've read something, it's kind of impossible to 'unread' it. You don't know what words are going to be until you read them in the first place. I actually agree with most of what you typed too, but you get no trophy for arguing with fools over the internet, you just add to the clutter of bullshit instead of ignoring one post and walking away. With that being said, bye.

  • @Nem33 You're right, you cannot unread something and my apologies for the homie crack. I see your point. Certainly, I'm not looking for gratification or a "trophy" by way of my posts. It's just hard to resist replying to any post that comes from a narrow-minded bigot. I rarely post anything, but get infuriated at things which jump off the screen because they're so ridiculous in their content. You have to take the gloves off sometimes. I appreciate your comment.

  • @Nem33 amen brother!!!!

  • Yes, I can and real funk players can tell the difference between Black people playing Black music and Non Black people playing Black music. SRV Sounds like a White man singing blues, not like a black man singing blues. Remember if music knows no Color. Which of the Following has white people invented? Gospel, Soul, R&B. Rock&Roll, Blues, Funk,Jazz, Hip Hop, Rap, Neo-Soul, Spoken Word. If Race isn't an Issue, where is the white man in all of these Creations. But the White Man is the King of it

  • @cokokris1 Whatever. Your point has no point. It's just some bigoted bullshit. You commented on an instrumental tune. There is no singing here, genius. He just sounds like a terrific guitarist here. Not white, black, red, brown or yellow. Music is not, as you say, an invention. It is a style and a feeling and all music is just the hybrid of some other music that got melded together and evolved into something else. It's not unlike an inter-racial relationship. It's not an invention.

  • @cokokris1 Hmmm, how about this? Slaves came from Africa with rhythms, learned English. The rhythms became field hollers which got mixed with Christianity and suffering, became gospel and the blues. Gospel and blues became R&B and pop and rock n roll. R&B became rap, hip-hop, new jack, neo-soul. Blues and Rock n roll became all sorts of sub-genres. Who knows what all the musical forms will have become in another 50 years?. It all comes from somewhere else. It's evolution. It has no color.

  • @cs868 Dont mention the word "evolution" to Christians. They get all pissy and start frothing on about talking serpents

  • @ilikezappa True and funny. I doubt the genius I was talking to knows what either Chrsitianity or evolution are.

  • Music aint a Black OR White thing! Music brings people together NOT divides! SRV was a GIFT!

  • @ChicagoRich100 That might be the best thing I have ever read!

  • @ChicagoRich100 An original American Badass.

  • aint NO words to describe how good SRV is!

  • Ok thats Enuff, I am finish with you. don't write me anymore

  • Oh, okay. Post stupid again. I'll clown you.

  • Those artists play Rock &Roll. jimi, MF, Livin Colour etc. We invented rock and roll for your information. I know the Racist White Man and Brain wash your thinking, I bet you think Elvis invented Rock&Roll don't you. You Got Shit for Brains. I never say you were white or assume you was white or black or what, you keep saying, " how come you think I am white". I know that there are black people out there that Thinks Elvis invented R&R an Enimen invented Rap. Hey Stop believing the Hype and study

  • @cokokris1 Okay clown,I'm off to the library to study the blues. You...........I doubt you invented anything, angry black child. You are barely able to spell invent, much less do it. You may not have said, "you're white", but you said it in you phrases and your ignorance. If it made you feel better about who and what you think you are, the I'm glad to have been of help. SRV still kills it here.

  • @cokokris1 I'll tell you this......Muddy Waters invented electricity and I know 'Rocket 88', credited to Jackie Brenston, but written, played and produced by Ike Turner in 1951 is considered by many to be the first real rock n' roll song. Elvis was never my bag. SRV never hyped himself as "king" of anything, he just played. I wish I knew how to post stuff w/o you being able to see who the player was, because you would never be able to tell the artist's ethnicity by his playing. 0 color.

  • You can't name many many more, and those black artists never claim that they are the king of that particular music like Whitey. for ever Charley Pride and Ray Charles, there are thousands and thousands of white folks not just playing black music but claim that they are the King of it. ie Elvis Presely, Emniem, SRV, and countless others. hehehe, you can't fuck with me about this, you are trying to justify Whitey saying that they are the best at playing black music and color don't matter

  • oh, I forgot about JAZZ, OK? hehehehehe lol

  • @cokokris1 Keep it coming. I will knock your shit all day, every day. I'm gonna head out for a while but I'll be back to see if you found any sense rattling around in your pinhead dome.

  • Yeah, when was the last time a black claim to or want to play Classical or Folk music like a white person playing it, Nobody want to be know as a great Classical or Folk guy no more, that shit is dead, but the whole world want to play black American Music like Black Americans and that shit ain't happening. So you keep your Classical and Folk music Whitey and leave our Gospel, Blues, Soul, Rock and Roll. Rap, Hip Hop. Rhytnm and Blues, Funk, Funk Soul, Neo Soul alone. Ok Racist White Impostors?

  • @cokokris1 Ray Charles - Modern Sounds in Country and Western @ 1961. Charlie Pride. Darius Rucker, first a rocker, now a country star. Taj Mahal is not a blues artist, per se'. He plays the blues, but he plays folk, ragtime, calypso. That's just off the top of my head. If I really gave some thought to it, I'm sure I could come up with many, many more. It does not really matter though, you are a blind man of your own fucking pathetic nignorance. By the way, why do you assume I'm white?.

  • @cokokris1 You assume I'm white because you're so ignorant, you think everyone who does not agree with your racist spew has got to be whitey. Fuck you, Punk! A few more. The Busboys, Mother's Finest, Living Colour, Jimi. Check em on YouTube, fool

  • @cokokris1 God i hope you trolling because if you arent you've pissed a lot of people of for an awful reason

  • @cokokris1 Let me just repeat what you said "when was the last time a black claim or want to play Classical or folk music" ammmm i dunno maybe when miles davis started using modes in his music which made him famous see how far the great hendrix would have gotten without classical.......ok jimi see if you can play without using pitch bending tremelo syncopated rhythms normal 4/4 structure, chords or scales actually well have to take the guitar off you too that was made by the evil white man...

  • @cokokris1 ill agree black people have made the best music of the last two centuries but to deny that black people dont claim to use classical?? Classical was the well that black people got their inspiration and if you dont agree with me dont pick up a guitar, piano, french, horn, trumpet, bass, double bass, chello etc

  • @cokokris1 Why does it really matter its still called the "Blues" when you look at it does it ever say Black Blues or White Blues no its just Blues, so if you don't like it just don't say anything about it and move on, Idk how this is just "noise" to you SRV is one of the greatest guitar players ever, if it weren't for him being around I don't I would ever started playing guitar myself and if I seem to remember correctly I have seen videos of him playing with BB King

  • @cokokris1 He never cared about the color thing, your just making this into a race thing, he praised guys like Jimi, King, Chuck Berry, Buddy Guy, and Muddy Waters, so if anything you should be proud of SRV cause those guys inspired him just like he inspired me, Jimi inspired me, Buddy Guy, Muddy, and BB King, never once did SRV say that he was better than those guys or said his music was better, but when SRV was alive he got voted best guitarist alive, so you get nigger ass straight

  • You are mad because I am calling you on your shit. You want to believe that SRV can play black music just as good as a Black person playing Black music. Sorry Whitey, There are people out there that knows that you guys are Impostors. lol, hehehehe, You wanna be black so bad and when we call you on it you say; oh music knows no color ( even though us Racist White Folks can't invent none of it) hehehehehe . lol

  • @cokokris1 I ain't mad, baby. You have called nothing. I think you watched Cadillac Records one too many times. I'm not saying anything about SRV playing black music better than black musicians. That's an intangible and completely one's personal opinion, not mine though. I've seen most of the greats-I grew up in the Bay Area in the 60's. Muddy. B.B., Albert, Freddy King.. Jimi.. John Lee Hooker. SRV, Otis Rush. Coltrane. ALL musicians take from other musicians. That's how it evolves.

  • If music knows no colors, what modern music have you White folks ever invented? I wanna know because maybe a Black person can be the king of y'all music. Music all ways have no color but y'all can't invent a damn thang, all ways stealing it, taking credit for it and then become the king of it. Y'all created your own music and stop stealing our music. OK??????

  • @cokokris1 What the fuck are you talking about? You do realise Europeans were making music even before they even colonised the Americas? Classical,Folk, etc it varies from the different European countries. Stop being so ignorant you dumb fuck

  • @cokokris1 And if you want to play the invented card, why don't you compare how many things blacks have invented in comparison to whites. So by your logic, wouldn't you be stealing all of 'our' things when you use the computer, internet and more stuff? Your logic fails.

  • SRV, King of the White Boy Blues, Racist White people gave us the Blues and now they are trying to sing it and say it doesn't matter what color you are, they weren't saying that when they was hanging us by the hundreds in Mississippi, now the blues is color blind when they want to play it. Racist White folk are playing both ends against the middle. So SRV, go boy, go King of the White boy blues.....

  • @cokokris1 You ought to be deleted. Always an excuse, my man. Nobody's singing in this video. It's just some guy playing his ass off. You and I and SRV were not in Mississippi when they were hanging folks "by the hundreds". Slavery is a sad part of our history, but you need to wake up. It's a new day. Music knows no color. It is color. It's heart, soul and feeling. People who spew the ignorance you do are the ones who hurt race relations and perpetuate more racial hatred.

  • @cokokris1 Chuck Norris can't play this (see Top Comments) but he needs to slap the shit out of you and knock some sense back in.

  • This was the 2nd time SRV went to Motreaux, the 1st time he got booed whilst , 2 albums later he was the star of the show when he went back....left em cold, the swiss..

  • Stevie Ray Redneck, lol Go white boy, go, White Boy Blues at its best, or worst if you are a true Black American and grew up listerning to the originators or blues, us, These Whiteboy Impostors make us laugh, hehehehe, Go Stevie, go White boy, go...............

  • @cokokris1 very funny

  • @cokokris1 Sort yourself out.

  • @cokokris1 Cool story bro. Tell it again.

  • @oldskooln3rd21 Story???? You call that a story?. Stupidest thing I've seen here.

  • @cokokris1 The only thing wich matter isn't the color of your skin, it's the feelings you put in your music. And FYI, i'm neither black nor white, my mother is from Ethiopia my father is from France so you can't tell me I'm a racist because I'm both white and black HAHA :D

    Enjoy the music, peace :D

  • @OodUude Another race-baiter, race-hater. Got nothing to do with the music. What ig'nant-ass world do you live in?. You don't have to be just black or white to be a RACIST and for you to say you're not RACIST because you're of mixed ethnicity is RACIST in itself. So I can tell you you're racist. RACIST. HAHA.. Leave the race out of the music. It's music and it's all about the music. You need to hook up with the other RACIST a couple posts below. SRV kills it here, by the way. No color.

  • @cs868 Yeah I'm racist you got me :)

  • @OodUude You right. You are.

  • @cokokris1 you have a lottt to learn in music if you think that the color of your skin makes you a good guitar player !!!!!!!!!11

  • @cokokris1 Just my opinion, but what an ugly, ignorant post. Why does it always have to turn into a race thing. Sad to say, but most "Black Americans" gave up on the blues and supporting blues artists by buying their music or going live shows a long time ago. Go to a blues show and look at the faces there. That's the proof. .SRV played it with his heart and soul and he had reverence and respect for his roots, i.e., "the originators". Don't hate him cuz he could play AND was a white boy.

  • dear god tell me how i can get the SRV guitar sound for christmas

  • @MJGirl94 fender tube amp, fender strat, lots of mid/treble, i use 11 or 12 gauge heavy bottom strings

  • That Strat is so happy here.

  • Seriously how can someone (10 someones) take the time to dislike this?

  • Nascar '99

    So american.

  • I tried to learn this, then I looked at my guitar. And I realized, why am I even trying!?!?

  • «mary had a little lamb...»

  • What kind of effect did SRV used on this song ??

  • SRV = Stevie Rule Vorever fuck my english just watch the vid !!!

  • uhh jimi is pretty boss. thats all im gonna say. but jesus srv was amazing

  • Ki lehet az, akinek nem tetszik SRV?

  • 9 viadinhos não gostam.

Porquê preferem o Koba do Restart.

  • In Sovjet Russia ...scuttle buttin play you! or wait..still SRV who plays it .

  • In my opinion, the greatest guitarist ever.

I wish to add this, look up for a guy called Dave Hole, he is a exellent guitarist & has a great blues voice as well.

  • 9 people are guitarist that couldn't play Scuttle Buttin on Guitar.

  • @1jkellum well, i cannot play this tune either, but i like it very much anyway!

  • SRV could dress like a gypsy/pirate/cowboy and make it FUCKING WORK. That's almost as impressive as the guitar skills. Almost.

  • When it comes to blues - Stevie Ray Vaughan is untouchable.. Jimi who??

  • @jimmyleppard6 Jimmy who? Check Hendrix's live versions on youtube(If you haven't heard them already)of Hear my Train A Comin' live at Berkeley and also Red House live at New York Pop Festival. Great versions. Just a sample of his best.(slower blues compared to this, but awesome) Good Hendrix live CD is the 2nd disc on"Voodoo Child: The Jimi Hendrix collection" For some reason I couldn't post the youtube links, so anyone that might be interested will have to type these in the search bar.

  • @jimmyleppard6 That was just a stupid comment.

  • @PBANDSNOW No. Actually, that is a fact.

  • @jimmyleppard6 That Jimi is unimportant? Keep thinking that buddy, keep thinking that.

  • @PBANDSNOW jimi hendrix is just a poser and he gets all this credibility cause he was the first on the stage to play a little more ''freestyle''. However, that doesn't mean that if he never existed someone else wouldn't came up with the same thing. he is way too much credited.

  • @jimmyleppard6 He's credited because he was the first. If anyone else did what he did, they would be hailed as a god. It's not rocket science. Just because someone else could have done it (which they couldn't have, Hendrix was way to unique) doesn't mean the person who actually did it deserves less credit, infact, they deserve even more.

  • @PBANDSNOW Oh, please. Do you hear yourself? How could you know nobody else could have done the same thing? You don't. You talk about it like it's a fact, but it isn't. It's just your opinion, same as I have my opinion on that thing. But, saying that Hendrix was the only guy who could have make that kind of ''waves'' is just stupid and very unlikely. I'm sorry, but just because you like Hendrix so much doesn't mean he's the best etc. etc. He gets way too much credit and that my friend, is a FACT

  • @jimmyleppard6 I'm not a Hendrix fan. No one could have done exactly what what Hendrix did. There is no way that if it was anyone else, they would have covered Hey Joe, written Little Wing, played a right handed guitar upside down giving it a slightly mellower tone. Even if there was the smallest difference, nothing would be the same, there would be no SRV etc...

Don't be stupid for the sake of being stupid. No one could have done what he did.

  • @PBANDSNOW Yea, I would love to continue this conversation, but I see that I won't make you change your mind and neither will you make me change my mind so, let's just call this a stand off. You think he's way too unique, I say it's way over exagurated.

  • @jimmyleppard6 Sounds good to me.

  • @jimmyleppard6 Do YOU hear yourself? You need to go back to first grade and learn the difference between fact and opinion. So you don't like Jimi. That's fine. At least respect him for his work. Sure. Maybe someone would've done what he did first. But then you would say THAT guy gets too much credit. Jimi was a pure innovator. Stevie thought so. He's covered so many Hendrix in HONOR of Jimi. Not to say he can do it better. And any guitarist who says they're the best is not at all the best.

  • pure talent something has to be seriously wrong with you if you disliked this

  • for those of you who dislike this , there's a (god knows why) john mayer best solo to the right. thank you

  • @rockatansky1990 In fact, John Mayer's biggest influence was Stevie,

John is good but Stevie was the greatest!

  • 9 people havent been born yet ..

  • this is what chuck norris dreams about

  • Who the hell is Chuck Testa?

  • Sick guitar tempo!

  • I thought i was having a wet dream last night..... turns out my alarm was going off and scuttle buttin" was playin.... weirdest thing. SRV the best ever!

  • If i was him i would say at the end of the song I GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS! U would this the guitar would catch on fire or his fingers lol

  • The best riff intro EVER.!!!

  • you can only play guitar like this if you a texan, johnny winter a gud example, oh an got to a strat wit 13 guage !

  • Ok, not that Paul Gilbert isn't an awesome guitar player, but that video "Paul Gilbert - Scuttle Buttin'" linked by youtube sucks so much compared to this one.

  • ????? I missed something

  • andddddd ill just add that one to my favorites

  • I just tossed my fender strat right out the window...fuck it

  • what better way to....make me wanna shoot myself =[

  • Oh my god... Why is he raping that guitar...

  • yep

  • here ( /watch?v=zE4ZXmPIy4E ) you will see a 15 years old kid who play this perfect ... take a look and thumb up ...

  • Haha, Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris tried to play this once but he wasn't fast enough, he decided to go outside fight off a gang of Chinamen in stead.

  • Yeah I thought I'd tried this, then my hand fell off for even thinking of making an attempt

  • Chuck Norris doesn't need to play scuttle buttin, scuttle buttin plays chuck norris.

  • chuck norris CAN'T play Scuttle Buttin!

  • @TheMmmmh you're doomed

  • @TheMmmmh nope. Chuck Testa can!

  • @TheMmmmh great. now u just invented the idea that chuck norris cant do things. this one is gonna last for months now! lol

  • @TheMmmmh Yes, yes he can! But he's too much respect for SRV... the myth says Chuck Norris taught SRV those licks!

  • Quanti chitarristi spettinati con questo pezzo.

  • 8 people prefer Buttin Scuttle instead

  • Comment removed

  • RIP SRV. 21 years ago from today :(

  • I find calling this a ditty slightly patronizing

  • after 3 years of playing i quit. im serious

  • @WickedXTaco because of him I quitted after 8 years.

  • Oh shit, my guts went on 0:31

  • sounds alot like crossfire to me. Regardless, Stevie was, is, and will always be The Man.

  • if u snowboard/skate/ski whatever put this on before your run and ull KILL it

  • Ridiculous!..... My guitar just quit.....

  • Metal is mind-awakening but "BLUES is SOUL-AWAKENING".........

    Blues for life...!!!

  • What did the bass player do after following such a phenomenon?

  • @hkj73 both Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon went on to play in a band called ARCangels

  • @ChillingInAFire Thanks.

  • @ChillingInAFire

    And they were awesome!

  • @Emoidiot187 one guy is pissed he cant play half as well as john mayer

  • love it!!! .. he is human ... or his guitar is .. love the outta tune sound at :45 haha .. it actually works

  • @allguitarscnc

    Sounds in tune to me....

  • 5 people need to burn

  • @Residentcake lol the ones who dont like this are still trying to figure out how to put their own tubesnakes into their own backdoors....(had to get past the censors....)

  • most difficult song ever seen n the world

  • this guys hands and fingers are made of butter....or something better, wtf do i know.....

  • 5 girls are pissed that they got redirected here from a John Mayer video

  • Those five people that disliked can go to hell

  • 5 people can die...

  • Stevie Ray was definitely Irish. But I think he might have took his holidays in America.

  • @Demojunky73 Absolutely correct! In fact heis real name is Seamus Michael O'Vaughan but he changed his name to appeal to his fans in the southern states of the USA (about the same time as he bought the hat with the pony tail). Another common misconception is that James Hetfield is Irish - but I can tell you that this entirely false - as anybody who has the misfortune to witness Metallica's destruction of Whiskey in The Jar (available elswhere on this channel) would certainly concur.

  • Who ever edited this was a muppet.

I don't need to see the bass players back or the drummers cymbals.

  • 5 guitarrist felt ridiculously overthrown by SRV

  • Lol in some kind of way the video is played faster than it actually is xD

I knew stevie could shred but damn this is insane xD

  • Definetly 2 minutes and 26 seconds well spent. You can't not like SRV, you can only forget to turn your speakers on.

  • I hope that guitar was over 18 O_o

  • fingers are soooooo fluid

  • This song took my virginity.

  • Mr. MOJO RISING!!!!!

  • I once watched a mate of mine (who has been a professional player for 30 years) play this. He was just as fast and as far as I could tell had all the right notes in all the right places but he STILL didn't sound this good. I think that that shows that music is more about the feel than the notes. My friend has the technical skill but he hasn't got that illusive something that separates the good from the great. Stevie Ray had it in spades.

  • @saffsgrandad Well said. I agree, it's not just the notes, it's the feeling behind them. SRV brought it like a fire hose!

  • he used 11 gauge strings. everyone acts like he used biggers ones but no look it up he was using 12s and 13s but his friend and guitar tech told him to switch cause his fingers were sore

  • Comment removed

  • @fenderstratman120 No, on his main guitar he replaced the frets with bass frets and used 18 gauge strings. It is reported that he used thicker then that at time. He had one backup guitar with 13's for when his fingers were sore.
