  • what are you talking about , the idiots on here seriously!!

The Clash were offered millions to refordm and they turned it all down , Mick and Joe are playing together in support of firemen who went on strike. at least they reformed for something good and not for money.

  • Joe sounds good man

  • great video brings back awesome memories. Saw the very last show the clash ever performed at the santa monica civic in 1984 with Los Lobos and malcolms break dancers. The Clash always has been and always will be the most important band ever.

  • wonderful sight to see, joe and mick playing together on stage again

  • Great video - brings back many happy memories of being there an pogoing with the entire London Fire Brigade. Glad nothing caught fire that night.

  • dude, i just noticed, jones and pete townshend both aged the same way... maybe its a british thing ;)

but seriously, the mass of people chanting in the background makes this song BETTER!!

  • Joe and Joey are punking out in heaven, I'm so sure of this. If they aren't, I'm not going.

  • thanks so much for posting this. Brought a tear to me dear old eyes, it did!

I last saw Joe perform in 2001, about 12 months before he popped his clogs. He didn't do this, unfortunately, but he did do a good version of Blitzkrieg Bop, in memory of Joey!

  • that's wrong... at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony they were all alive, but they played nothing. They never played all together after Combat Rock because they were against a reunion, especially Paul Simonon. This is a Mescaleros' concert and at the final songs Mick started to play on the stage, it was not organized... They played Bankrobber, White Riot and London's Burning, you can read it on Pat Gilbert's book, "Death Or Glory" and in some interviews ;)

  • What are you talking about? Joe died December 23, 2002 and the Rock N Roll induction was in March of 2003

    RIP Joe

  • Sorry, you're right ^^

    I confused everything XD

  • @hockeyrocks5757 he couldn't bear another christmas with turkey and gravy

  • @bradipovsky Pat is rich enough...don't give him any more money by buying his poxy book. U right...Simonon was not into it...god knows why...he said The Clash happened and was good when it did but no more. Strummer was on his fax machine trying to convince HIM/ the Clash should come back...I think he was walking his dog when a Mi6 agent shot a mini-poisoned-arrow to the back of his neck.

  • Joe wanted all of them -- Topper included -- to reunite for a performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but unfortunately passed a few months before that event took place...RIP John Graham Mellor

  • Who gives a shit if they,in your opinion were not ready to re-form? At what point did punk become polished and clean. Take this performance for what it is.. Two musical brothers coming together after a long hiatus and putting together a magical performance regardless of how perfect they were. Punk is about passion, rebellion, politics etc,Not perfection! I just think we should all feel lucky to see these two onstage one more time before Joe passed. J.S R.I.P

  • A legendary moment - but shows why the boys were right not to sell out and re-form.

    RIP.JS.

  • I'd have sold everything I own to have been there.

  • I have somehow never seen that full song before! Thanks a million for posting it.

  • white riot WHITE RIOT

  • i was lucky to be at acton town hall what a great gig

  • to say you were 'lucky' is a major understatment. i'd given my right arm to be there.

  • I heartily agree. Lucky doesn't begin to cover it!

  • The lyrics are "black people gotta lot of problems, but they don't mind throwing a brick; white people go to school where they teach you how to be thick."

  • is it just me or did he say "white people gotta a lot fo problems, but they dont mind throwin a brick"?

    RIP JOE STRUMMER

  • Not sure, but Joe was known to tool with the lyrics when performing live.

  • Jello does it ALOT as well. I think it's pretty common, mixes things up a bit. I don't think there's any deviation from the expected here though.

  • Why did joe have to leave us... the clash would of soon done a reunion tour...

  • Wow, Strummer and Jones reunited...and only a handfull of views.....thanks a bunch
