what are you talking about , the idiots on here seriously!!
The Clash were offered millions to refordm and they turned it all down , Mick and Joe are playing together in support of firemen who went on strike. at least they reformed for something good and not for money.
great video brings back awesome memories. Saw the very last show the clash ever performed at the santa monica civic in 1984 with Los Lobos and malcolms break dancers. The Clash always has been and always will be the most important band ever.
thanks so much for posting this. Brought a tear to me dear old eyes, it did!
I last saw Joe perform in 2001, about 12 months before he popped his clogs. He didn't do this, unfortunately, but he did do a good version of Blitzkrieg Bop, in memory of Joey!
that's wrong... at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony they were all alive, but they played nothing. They never played all together after Combat Rock because they were against a reunion, especially Paul Simonon. This is a Mescaleros' concert and at the final songs Mick started to play on the stage, it was not organized... They played Bankrobber, White Riot and London's Burning, you can read it on Pat Gilbert's book, "Death Or Glory" and in some interviews ;)
@bradipovsky Pat is rich enough...don't give him any more money by buying his poxy book. U right...Simonon was not into it...god knows why...he said The Clash happened and was good when it did but no more. Strummer was on his fax machine trying to convince HIM/ the Clash should come back...I think he was walking his dog when a Mi6 agent shot a mini-poisoned-arrow to the back of his neck.
Joe wanted all of them -- Topper included -- to reunite for a performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but unfortunately passed a few months before that event took place...RIP John Graham Mellor
Who gives a shit if they,in your opinion were not ready to re-form? At what point did punk become polished and clean. Take this performance for what it is.. Two musical brothers coming together after a long hiatus and putting together a magical performance regardless of how perfect they were. Punk is about passion, rebellion, politics etc,Not perfection! I just think we should all feel lucky to see these two onstage one more time before Joe passed. J.S R.I.P
The lyrics are "black people gotta lot of problems, but they don't mind throwing a brick; white people go to school where they teach you how to be thick."

A legendary moment - but shows why the boys were right not to sell out and re-form.

Jello does it ALOT as well. I think it's pretty common, mixes things up a bit. I don't think there's any deviation from the expected here though.
