  • Start reminded me of Bad Company, but when Brian came from behind the curtain and people started screaming, i was thinking= THEY'RE BACK, MAN!!! QUEEN FOREVER!!! <3 I think Paul does a PERFECT job in this song, He's not Freddie, but i can say that in this song, he's coming close!

  • Comment removed

  • Especially Adam Lambert ..

  • Fine, but NO ONE CAN REPLACE FREDDIE MERCURY.

  • 1:07 best Part

  • The 2005 concerts were my first Queen concerts,i was 20 at the time, so only knew queen proper through albums and dvds, i'd never heard of Paul before, i asked me dad and he told me bout him, free bad company etc, my first gig was newcastle, and i'll always remember i nearly burst out crying during the opening of tymd with bri and rog, never forget it! saw them another 3 times over 2005-2008, paul did a extraordinary job, and seen him live with his solo band and the 2010 Bad Company tour.

  • John stopped after the tribute concert

  • why john isnt with them, someone tell me?

  • this one is opening right?

  • Saw this in Jacksonville 2007 it was awesome. A very tastefully done concert. No one tried to replace Freddie It just was what it had to be.

  • tribute to freddy and then rock n fkn roll!!!!

  • Paul Rogers does an excellent job. He was singing rock and roll when Freddy was cheating on sixth grade math tests.

  • @Rockit8 back off.

  • it's clear that Queen isn't Queen without either Freddy or John. But to say this isn't good is like saying Queen isn't good. I'd rather see this as the worlds most amazing Queen-tributeband wich includes Roger and Brian.

  • This man had huge shoes to fill..... And for a man with such a big task, he fucking holds his own. Paul Rodgers is A LEGEND IN HIS OWN RIGHT!! He is AMAZING SINGER!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! He can never be Freddie Mercury and that's great!! He is his own person so accept you fucking old bastards!!

  • Woooooowowowowowowowowowowowo espectacularl concert! But Queen without Freddy doesn't be full!

  • Paul Rogers is fantastic, my preference is him over Freddie any time, but that's what it is all about - each person enjoying what they like. So, why all the knocking of fantastic Talent? Do you all not think that it is up to Brian and Roger who they have chosen to work with? If you don't like, don't watch.

  • Simply stunning. Saw them at Wembley Arena in 2008, the BEST concert I have ever seen. Those who are dissing Paul obviously never saw them live. Obviously he isn't Freddie, but he isn't trying to be either. That's why it works. Imagine how cheap it would feel to have a Freddie imposter instead?

  • biggest queen fan ever but queen are freddie mercury brain may john deacon roger taylor with out freddie and john it means jack shit to me would the stones do it without jagger noooooooo

  • I Miss John =(

  • 20 personas tienen un toscano en la oreja.

  • BEST SONG PAUL SANG

  • I would be an absolute honor and privilege for me to get on stage with Brian and Roger. I can only see that happening in my dreams

  • メチャクチャかっこいい・・・

    自分はフレディの声をCDでしか聞いたことがない世代だけど、きっとフレディが生きていた頃のライブもこんな感じのノリだったんだろうなぁ。

  • This is my favourite performance of Tie Your Mother Down... ever! I am so glad Brain and Roger and Paul gave those of us too young to see Queen with Freddie the chance to experience their timeless music live. Saw them at Wembley in 2008, best concert I've ever seen!

  • This would be even more fantastic if they would have toured with George Michael instead of Paul Rodger

  • 素晴らしい!!

  • I´m happy because john decon was inteligent and he didn't made this lie

  • @eduardopato11

His name is DEACON, John Deacon.

  • Paul may not do justice to many songs but he completely nailed Tie Your Mother Down both in range and power...

  • Paul Rodgers is a veteran Rock Vocalist. All Right Now by Free. His stuff with Bad Company. Instead of whining and complaining that Freddie isn't there take it for what it is. Or if you don't like it don't watch. Mr. Rodgers should have no haters.

  • I love, LOVE Queen and was a bit take back that they had a new singer but this guy is good-and he will NEVER replace Freddie-no one could-he was one of a kind <3

  • Think when this concert was shown, my first thought was they didnt need anyone to sing with them. The band did great without Paul Rodgers. I get the band wants to play and they need to have a singer, but Paul Rodgers has too deep of voice to blend with Queen. Still think if they needed someone with a voice close to Freddie it would be the artist Mika.

  • @gmrtnz78

Mika? You must be joking. What's the point in trying to get a vocalist to be like Freddie? Queen would just turn into a parody of its self if they tried to do that. In this way, we get to hear the songs in a brand new light, we get to see elements of two great bands on tour, and we get a much bluesier Queen, which I think its harmonically & melodically, more interesting. The 2008 tour was proof enough that Bri + Rog would not be able to handle the vocals on their own.

  • @gmrtnz78 I say mr. george micheal

  • @gmrtnz78 Not really every bands needs a lead singer, Aerosmith has Steve Tyler, ACDC has Brian Johnson, Van Halen has David Lee Roth and Queen had Freddy Mercury but I think they should do another tour with Paul Rodgers or have some other great singer like Meatloaf but Mika is not a bad choice either but I think hes too young.

  • They don't need to replace Freddie, they got Paul Rodgers! A talented guy with his own back catalogue...

  • I will agree, know one can replace freddie, but paul is doing a good job not trying to take freddies spot. know one can replace a legend!

  • The music of Queen lives on for a new generation. True, Freddie is not replaceable, but it's about the music and keeping it alive and if touring with with Paul does that, how can you knock it? They sound great. ;-)

  • No Queen without Mercury and Deacon.

  • Where was this recorded ?

  • Look at Brian's happiness :D

  • Yes !!! i have watch many great bands and tours ! , but this tour was tops !! the power that was felt in the place was breath taking !! to watch this again just brings back precious time !!!

  • I WANT BRIAN MAY TO BE MY FATHER.

Although he is my grandpa's age..:)

  • Wonderful energy and love the priceless appreciative smile by P.R at :39

  • t is very sad to see Paul and Queen, not together any more, very sad !!!! best band very put together .. i have been to many Queen shows and when Paul joined them they have become a very special band , Freddy yes was a good singer but will never be a Paul Rodgers, sure there are the gay followers Queen has !! i Seen this band in Ukraine And two other places and with Paul and his song with Queens Songs,God Dam !!! there is no band that even comes close to put the show on like them !

  • awesome!!!

  • hopefully this queen/rodgers coupling will show 21st century rock fans what a phenomenal voice paul rodgers possesses. one of the greatest rock singers in history.

  • @midatlanticcycle i wish they would do a world tour together. great looking concert.

  • Brian May somewhat reminds me of Jimmy Page.

  • @LettheHammerFall1982 Because of being a guitar God :)

  • No one can replace Freddie!

  • @alexstef2009 No-one is!

  • @alexstef2009

No one wants to replace Freddie here!

  • @alexstef2009 no-one is...

  • @alexstef2009 That is so obvious that your comment is stupid. So you do not appreciate that they went on a tour with Paul Rodgers?

  • @Fajlix Bang on the nail

  • eightmilerap) nobody will ever replace freddie but paul rogers rocks.

  • @alexstef2009 Yes, no one can. BUT Paul Rodgers is not replacing Freddie.

  • @alexstef2009 Freddie is unreplaceble...but this band it”s sound better with mr, Rodgers!

  • @alexstef2009 this music has more”kraft”...now!

  • @alexstef2009 but paul does OK.

  • humm . may i flag as innapropriatte ? i'm in shock with Brian May ... QUEEN RULLEZ !

  • Thru Paul, now both bands have come back 2 life, very nice, thanks to the band! rock on!,,,Long live Freddy !!!!!!

  • YEAAAAAAAHHHH! Smells like 70's to me!

  • @anyone who isn't happy with this.

They're calling themselves Queen + Paul Rodgers, with Queen really big and Paul Rodgers much smaller. As far as I'm concerned, they aren't trying to fool anyone, the three living members of Queen are cool with it, Rodgers actually looks better than he did in the 1970s, they sound good, Rodgers isn't trying to imitate Freddy, and its totally fine. What's the problem? Did you see all those people in the audience?

  • chuck norris did a good work

  • Everyone is an expert it seems. Paul Rogers is totally legit, not to mention friends with Queen obviously. Man is Brian May good.

  • @guyfidelity Brian May is like God with a Guitar

  • @TheAxebass Then if you think that of Paul Rodgers why come on here.

  • @TheFedemtz BRIAN AND ROGER WANTED HIM TO PERFORM WITH THEM!

  • if Paul does ´t wants to be Freddy why he is singing his songs?

  • @TheFedemtz

    That's just fuckin' STUPID

  • @TheFedemtz FUCKING RETARD. BECAUSE AFTER CAREERS THAT SPANNED THREE DECADES(WHAT HAVE YOU EVER DONE BUT WANK IN FRON OF YOUR PC TO KIDDIE PORN) THEY WISH TO CONTINUE TO PLAY THE SONGS THEY SPENT THEIR WHOLE LIVES WRITING AND PERFORMING. THEY HAVE COME TOGETHER TO SING ALL THEIR SONGS NOT JUST FREDDIES. I DONT HEAR ANYONE SAYING THIS IS SILLY BECAUSE ROGER AND BRIAN ARENT PAULS ORIGINAL BACKING GROUP...LOKK AT THE CROWD LOOK AT THE MUSICIANS. YOUR THE ONLY CUNT WITH A PROBLEM WITH IT.

  • @mrbarleymob well the thing is that these songs are from queen not from paul rodgers so u just get to my point. He isnt freddy so he shouldnt sing songs that arent his property , and if he did that he shouldnt recive any money so now he is trying to be another dude & he is erning money for somthing that isnt of his own this guy is pathetic & now the queen band sucks because they are selling their master pices to an asshole thas dosnt know how to sing that type of rock.

  • @TheFedemtz Your pathetic! You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about! He hasn't stolen anything from anyone. Queen approached him, not other way around; and the guy can do a better job wiping his ass than you can speak!

  • @TheFedemtz you thick twat. the songs are property of queen...not freddie alone... and brian may and roger taylor are equal parties in queen..they are THEIR songs you dick...and if the gods may and taylor think paul suitable to sing those songs who the fuck are you to say otherwise you absolute nobody. have a look at the crowd here dickhead...he's rocking the house...you are a sad pathetic tone deaf clueless retard whos mother wants slapping for ever teaching you to speak.

  • & im a musician & freddy inspired me to make rock im a drumer y love hard rock i love metal y love glam & hair metal i hear foo fighters, RHCP, Queen, Twisted Sister, VH, AC/DC, but realy who the fuck is paul rodgers he never had a big band he just had free and that band can never compete with a huge band as led zeppelin & they were frome the same age so im just telling that paul rodgers SUCK!!!.

  • @TheFedemtz When he can have a huge song as stairway to haven or kashmir i will say this dude can rock & he deserves tu play his own songs with queen.

  • @TheFedemtz You never heard of Bad Company? How many records have you produced? How many people knock on your door for an album? He doesn't have to prove anything to anyone, those who like him do so, those who do not, turn the station or go to different web site. He rocks & at his age, very few can even still hold a note or sing on key. Even the great Robert Plant now needs backup singers. He's just singing songs to make others happy.

  • tto bad you're just jealous THEAXEBASS...MAYBE SHOULD CHANGE YOU'RE NAME TO THE AXEASS...GET A LIFE!!!!

  • Paul Rodgers is great and doing just fine

  • @TheAxebass Yes, he is an asshole and I hate his voice too. In fact, I have come to hate his guts and I'm fed up with receiving a lot of negative feedback from a lot of cretins for stating my opinion. So many mindless drones keep repeating obsessively that if it was Queen + Mariah Carey, Freddie would have wanted it that way and Freddie's looking down with a tear in his eye and so on ...some people are really fucking stupid!

  • @satanaonline YEP YOUR RIGHT PEOPLE ARE REALLY FUCKING STUPID. YOU ARE TOP OF THAT PILE ALONG WITH ASSBASS WHY SHOULD ROGER AND BRIAN HAVE TO STOP PLAYING THE SONGS THAT THEY SPENT OVER THIRTY YEARS OF THEIR LIVES WRITING AND PERFORMING CAUSE FREDDIE IS NO LONGER HERE. YOUR PATHETIC ARGUEMENT ABOUT MARIAH CAREY IS GARBAGE... BRIAN AND ROGER WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE THAT, BUT FREDDIE USED TO LOVE PAUL AND I AM SURE IN THE YEARS LEADING TO HIS DEATH THEY WOULD HAVE DISCUSSED THIS. WHO THE FUCK R U?

  • Paul Rodgers is awesome

  • I read recently, that Paul Rodgers is commonly known in the industry as.... "The Voice"

  • Paul is nowhere near Freddie Mercury, but he's not trying to be Freddie!

I think you do a great job Paul! R.I.P Freddie

  • @TheLund93 Paul is Paul,Freddie is Freddie ; p

  • @mcski022 Did you read what i wrote? BUT he's not trying to be Freddie!

I think you do a great job Paul! Get some glasses mate, that was my point smart ass! :)

  • Give me all your love tonight

    heavy Queen Metal !

  • AMAZING!!!!!!

  • O paul rodgers saiu-se melhor que eu imaginava.

  • Paul Rodgers is one of the best singers in rock, his voice is powerful and soulful!

I've got to get their album The Cosmos Rocks!

  • Queen + Paul Rodgers? What a dynamite combination! They are "A Kind of Magic."

  • l love Freddie,but I was surprised at Paul's performance.

    great quality

  • No one could replace Freddie but I applaud Queen for their excellent decision to choose the great Paul Rodgers to sing for them. Some blends of bands don't do much for me but these two bands are two of my favorites, and I LOVE the music they make together. Paul looks so in place singing with them, and they all look like great friends. I love everything about it.

Live long guys, and thank you for the wonderful music.

  • freddie is with God, Paul Rodgers is GOD!

  • @SergiuliKa25 But he isn't... He the Paul Rodgers. Brian May and Roger Taylor are the Queen bit. Honestly, they were absolutely fantastic live. Why wouldn't you want to keep the music alive? It gave the music a whole new edge. I'm sure Freddie would have approved, he loved Paul.

  • @lucrativeelfmongrel

It's equally important to keep MEMORY of something GOOD alive, as letting it go down gracefully.

Lesson that wasn't applied with ST XI. I'd rather see Queen and their Music go into history as ABBA did - at their best.

  • @AnteyPL ABBA?????? Are you high?

  • And for those of you who think that PR sounds better on stage than Freddie ever did: Technology has made quite some progress since 1991 - did you ever see Freddie wearing wireless earphones on stage? No, he had to deal with the old foldback monitors at the edge of the stage to hear his own voice, with May's wall of AC30s, Taylor's drums and Deacon's bass towers counteracting.

  • @krautball

    Great comment.

  • Brian May and Roger Taylor really look old in this clip, it's the surprisingly energetic Paul Rodgers who's carrying the song. But I don't care how good PR is (and I do like Free & Bad Company), there will never be another Freddie Mercury. Freddie WAS Queen; May, Taylor & John Deacon would have never made it without him. There's a reason why John Deacon didn't want to be part of "Q & PR".

  • @SergiuliKa25 I guess you never saw them live and English isn't your native language.

  • so great

  • This concert is one of the reasons Paul Rodgers is called The Voice. He is The Voice. Period.

  • NO ONE can replace Freddie and Paul knows that. Freddie was the greatest showman and front man ever and I am a Led Head, sorry Robert Plant

  • @BigH12341 wll, LZ was Queen's biggest influence, so I think Freddie learn a lot from The Great Rober Plant for sure!!!! ;)

  • Such a wonderful voice!!

  • With the Kiss intro (You wanna the best, you got the best..the hottest band in the world..KISS) this has been the best intro in a concert that i have seen..and started with tie your mother down...OH YEAH BABY!!!!

  • Paul was really the only guy that could have pulled of those tunes so well. He didn't try to be Freddie but he respected the material.

  • Well said!

  • Paul was awesome before queen released their first album!!!

  • Queen sem Freddie não é Queen!!!!

Sem ele a banda nunca mais foi a mesma :(

  • wtf is all this talk about PAUL CAN'T REPLACE FREDDY... he isn't replacing him, he just tours with Queen as a singer. Hence the name PR+Queen not just Queen...

  • Meh.... he doesn't sound too good.. well in the beginning i thought that, but then he sounded quite good..anyway,i guess i see why queen lost (most) of their popularity..

  • @Avian98X From your post it's obvious you do not know the history of Queen and circumstances which led to this project.

  • @GOODY61

    Yep.

  • I SAW THIS IN PERSON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is why I LOVE (LOVE, not like) rock music.

  • I'm here for music, for the amazing Paul Rodgers and the legendary and epic Queen, not eminem.

  • Dude, where the hell he got that slide? xD

  • @bruno93asv Brian May has the power to create one with his mind.

  • "The Voice" + Queen = Absolutely epic concert...and they did it show after show. I wish they would tour together again and let people know... It's ok to out!

  • if u r here becuz of EMINEM - Beautiful

    THUMPS UP

  • To bad Freddie isnt here anymore, but you have to be honoust.....Aint this a perfect MATCH!!!! man these guys ROCK!!

  • This is actually amazing!!! Paul's voice is great whether people like him or not, how can't ya though?, he kicks ass! and obviously so do Queen!!!!! The music is being kept alive which is what Freddie would of wanted! No other vocalist nowadays could do this live for Queen whilst maintaining his own style and not trying to imitate Freddie. Pure Professional.

  • @thiagosb

Actually, I'd think he would be smiling knowing his friends lived up to the song "The Show Must Go On", Freddies wish that Queen would stay together till they die - bar John Deacon - and that one of Freddies favourite singers was fronting the most widely known rock band in history.

  • God bless Queen ! Forever !

  • u cant compare freddies and pauls voice they both very different styles of singing

  • I don't understand why everyone says things like "No-one could replace Freddie". I'm a big Queen fan, but I've never seen a live performance where Freddie sings all the high notes like on the record. Truth is, he was never a great live singer. In this concert (ignoring the fact that he's close to twice the age Freddie was when he died) Rodgers' voice is better than Freddie's ever was. It's almost like people accolade Mercury purely because everyone else does, too.

  • @MacGregor88 A big Queen fan ? I seriously doubt it. You should listen to Freddie's prime live area (79/82) and especially The crazy tour, wembley arena 80, Montreal 81, South America 81, and live aid of course, before stating that Freddie could not sing live. Well it's true that PR could compete live with Freddie in the rock/blues style, but that's it. Freddie suffered from vocal nodules because early in his carreer he would go "all the way" and replicate

    his studio vocals on stage.

  • @MacGregor88 No one can do that for a long period of time with such a demanding vocal style. Robert Plant dit it, and he lost his voice as early in LZ's career as 1972. So sure, Freddie had his ups and downs on stage. Sometimes, he would sing with a voice reduced to a monotone. But in the end there are very few Queen songs that he did not replicate live at least once. At times he would even sing higher notes on stage (death on two legs, somebody to love, etc.).

  • You should take a look at some of the Crazy Tour performances--where Freddie would replicate his studio performances live. Freddie had vocal nodules--preventing him from overusing his high notes live (especially on back-to-back performances).

  • take your little brother for a swim with a brick!!! thats alright!! quality!! paul rodgers stood in for freddie for charity, and didnt do a bad job, fair play to him, muddy water blues rocks!!!! look it up!!!

  • paul sings the loud-rocksongs pretty well kinda fell for it :D

  • Queen never were a band to do things by halves

  • Why do people think Paul Rodgers would WANT to step into Freddie's shoes? He's Paul Rodgers for Christ's sake!

  • @lucrativeelfmongrel i remember going to see this concert and at 1.00 when brian came through it made me hairs on my back stand. absolute fantastic concert QUEEN FOR EVER

  • Right, I agree with you guys. Queen was not looking for a replica of Freddie Mercury, like Van Halen wasn't looking for a replica of David Lee Roth when Sammy Hagar joined. Unlike how Journey obviously got a replica of Steve Perry's voice.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa que ganas de estar ahiiii

  • Brain may Awsome guitar work But Paul Rodgers he did good but nobobdy and i mean nobody could replace ol Freddy who was the shit

  • If anyone get's aggravated by Paul Rodgers 'replacing' Freddie ,The 2 of the 3 remaining members of Queen he performs with (Roger Taylor and Brian May) did not intend him to be a 'replacement' by any means. As awesome as May and Taylor are, they needed someone to handle the frontman 'duties', as it were, which made him an ideal GUEST to perform with. That's why they present themelves as Queen AND Paul Rodgers, and he does a good job.

  • @MrCharbonnelWalker NO he doesn't.

  • 00:51 Where'd Em go? Haha!

  • God they still Rock! And Paul is just as wild with that Mic stand as Freddie was!!

  • @edcrabb What did you expect Paul's been in the game just as long as they have.

  • God they still Rock!

  • @sabbath1888 i just read your post battle with ryan piuma on the marlin impales boys face video hahah that was great he totally owned you bitch.

    anyways good song though

  • class! thumbs up!

  • queen is the best

  • It's funny how the poppy people want george michael and the rock people like paul rodgers, the simple fact is george michael would never do it anyway, so either listen to paul or bugger off

  • PAUL RODGERS IS A POOR REPLACEMENT!!!! THE BEST SINGER TO DO THE JOB WOULDVE BEEN GEORGE MICHEAL, BUT HE's TOO BUSY BREAKING THE LAW AND SMOKING DOPE, OOH NEVERMIND!!! IM MORE THAN HAPPY WITH ALL THE ORIGINAL ALBUMS, I DONT NEED TO HEAR THIS BOLLOCKS!!!!

  • @sabbath1888 so, why you're here? fuckin' pussy :)

  • @LilloNeto To put my opinion forward, you obviously can't handle that!!!!!

  • @LilloNeto To put my opinion forward, you obviously can't handle that!!!!! Also your grammer is all wrong in your highly intelligent comment!!!TWAT

  • @sabbath1888 if george micheal would do it, I would throw all my Queen cds away. George Michael is fucking retarded. Paul Rodgers is okay, but I don't like his singing too much, all sentences end with a lame "uuuoeoeoeouuuh!" sound. Or such... The best replacement is no replacement really, there are always complaints.

  • @luneproducts well at least you agree with me that, they should leave Queen as it is, no replacements!!! My daughter is getting into to Queen and she's 8 year old, there will always be new fans, year after year!!!

  • @sabbath1888 That is very nice :D Your daughter is getting a good education. :)

  • PAUL RODGERS IS A POOR REPLACEMENT!!!!

  • I love this new queen!! This has got a good feel! Paul is a real show-maker :D I'm going to purchase this DVD! QUEEN4EVER!!

  • I love this new queen

  • but seriusly Roger, get a haircut! You legend!!

  • gewd times... i used to listen to this song as a kid

  • ok pittfan...give them to Freddie...the lyrics, hell a shoppin' cart....did he recieve your gift? If Queen was cool with it...let it roll as well as ROCK!!!
