I remember first seeing Glorietta in the early 90's and saying to myself, "I have seen the future and it's Glorietta." Ayala Malls are very well maintained unlike other establishments. SM Megamall was state of the art at around this time but has deteriorated since then.

uy astig. i remember the playroom of mcdonalds has a cage in a form of grimmace tapos meron din sila maliit na merry go round na pang apatan ata na frykids yung nakalagay instead of horses. the restaurant in the beside the grandstand is ling nam ata. i also remember yung sa parksquare 1 may ice cream parlor dati.

wow! i used to work at mcdonald's northmall, the one next to cinderella's, fronting the glorietta grandstand. the grandstand had blue tiles, am i right? worked there from '88-'91. this indeed brought back memories. even the phone booth that people used to line up to...i saw it once again! hahaha! i remember using that phone for like a few minutes and people behind me were beginning to grumble. i was having an argument with my bf then....hahaha! thanks so much for this!

@sotolite - Your'e welcome! I remember that McDonalds. It opened around 1983 and It was like the first actual McDonalds I had ever seen! Previous to that I had only seen McDonalds in like movies and TV shows. I actually applied to work there when I was like 15 years old, back when it first opened, but I never heard back from them.

At the time Quad cinema was already Glorietta 1 i think and Glorietta 2 was under constructiion. I remember the Grandstand where me and my band played. Your video brings back so much memories. Mabuhay ka evancortaz2

Very nostalgic. Good ol days life was simpler. Had fun during my childhood. Quad my all time fave theater. Better watch out for the renovation of Glorietta they would mix greens this time. Looking forward to it once I get back.

Yes, Sulo restaurant. That was actually their logo as "sulo" (torch) itself.

Lots of people around the mall but if you just walk across the road and go to the next street, that place is like a ghost town. Thats where we hide from the 'Star Rangers'. Thank God and that place is gone.

Hey, we used to hangout here every Sunday (1989-91). Automatic Centre got this 'automatic' front door which amazed us as it open like magic. Sulu Hotel was just around the corner. The "Star Rangers" (sikyu with motorcycles) used to chase us away, they don't like gwapings around the grandstand. He, he..

I remember that day that the plan to cover Rustan's , Quad, Anson and the stores shown was presented to us and I said that was amazing. Also when a guy asked for a permit to build the Mega Mall, Not to forget how deserted the area in front of Meralco used to be, now they have all those developments.

There was something to those times. Growing up in the 90s was turbulent but great.
