@dawnremains i don't really think ron paul fits very well...
the man might be against war but that's about it, the man would let the poor die on the streets because it's not anyones responsibility to take care of those less fortunate
@Darusdei If we believe the government is going to take care of the poor and make the best decisions for us, then that is Socialism. His ideas to save money would actually generate money and jobs. I am not rich, it is my responsibility to make sure I have food and not expect the government to provide for it.
@dawnremains ah the good old free loaders "argument" are you seriously so fucking dumb that you can't see that there are people who can't make it on their own and charity is never going to cover them...
ron paul is just a fool with 1800s batshit policies which would never work in modern world
@Darusdei You are obviously fucking dumb. You are making comments that have nothing to do with you. You are not American. Keep your commie bullshit in your own country. Yeah, haha, communism worked out great for the Soviet Union didn't it? They crashed and burned. Just another euro boy trying to force their bs beliefs onto Americans.
@dawnremains so now europe is "commie" and you're calling people stupid. a bit ironic.
soviet union was as communist as Democratic People's Republic of Korea is democratic.
you're truly a shining example of the state of u.s. education (which amusingly ranks below western world's average) no real or own ideas. just indoctrinated bs :DD
@Darusdei The Soviet Union was a communist state until 1990. I am sure the people in east Berlin would agree. If you like to down America, why care about our politics? What about the poor, ha. Perhaps there would be more jobs if students from the Ukraine were not coming here for jobs in the Summer.
@dawnremains just because their and your leaders ranted about communism doesn't exactly make it so... like i said before. communist as north korea is democratic.
there are 50countries in europe, some which are very poor (they're not just going to u.s. for jobs)
try looking up press freedom or government transparency / corruption on u.s. you will soon find out that u.s. is far behind in that regard.
@Darusdei I agree our media is very biased. It takes going on here to find out some truth. Then they tried to censor the internet. Trust me, I have some issues with my own country. I think a lot of Americans are tired of war. Our leaders may want it, but not all of us. Here people say they're poor if they don't have two cars and a huge house. Sad really. We not exactly told about how poor countries are over there.
@Darusdei So sorry you do not have the option for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! That has got to suck. Also, speaking of education. Capitalization is your friend.
However, should you decide that I am wrong, then I have a suggestion for you; prove me wrong. Go out and do something to show your defiance. Rally your friends and family. Get your fellow people up and off their couches. Inform them all of the slime that is our government and what it is doing to the home you love. There is a soldier in all of us. One person can make a whole difference. You can be that person, as long as you stand up.
the one and true problem is that without rules our society falls apart. of course it then becomes a problem of who decides the rules. Well the obvious answer is the majority vote, of course the minority are treated as second thoughts. rule are made that restrict and control the minority because the majority fears that with they don't understand. it is seen time and time again throughout history. like during the middle ages and people are burning witches because of their religious beliefs.
@meganisationlubracat They said it was "certain undesirables," who were sent to the camps. V could've been black or gay (doubt it tho cuz of EV), jewish, muslim, basically anything that wasn't white anglo saxen protestant.
@Thetaquo I most definitely have to agree with you!! Knowledge is power, and in order for people to have knowledge, they need education, to stand against oppression!
A democratic government will never amount to any good if the majority of the governed are stupid. Why else do you think governments are so slow on the funding of education?!
@ANGELITOSALENGA um where is the malitia??? tell me, really? what malitia? these so called defenders of the people where are they, shit there camoflage is so good no one can see them. really?? people are being beaten in the streets of every major city in the US, where are they??? tell me if you can.
this just reminds me of what happened on September 11. after that so called attack GW singed the patriot act how ironic to call it that but i would never sacrifice my freedom to feel safe and if you think about it just imagine if that last plane or missile was not aimed at the white house but at congress GW would have full control.
Norsefire was the name of the party, they are still a conservative party. Norsefire also relates to the real party called Nation Front who was pretty big in the 80s, though the writers have not confirmed this. The similarities and the time of the comics creation, it seems too right for Norsefire to be based of NF.
@ANGELITOSALENGA non violent revolution wont work this time in the Phils. Sometimes we have to go medieval to accomplish something. How many times were we fooled by our government IN FRONT OF OUR NOSES?! 9 years.. 9 years we suffered from a midget president and nothing happened even though people can see what she was doing. PEACE IS OVER-RATED. Id spit 9 years worth of saliva on that ex president. Destroy her property. Shave her head.. I promise you it will feel good...
Keep dreaming about revolution, it will never take place, because that will mean, that all those internet heroes and revolutionares will have to leave their warm chair and go risk their butts. And sorry, but 99% of them will never do anything, just ranting on internet and having wet dreams about revolution.
In today's world, ignorative dictature is in effect - You can talk whoever you want, but it's for nothing and you are labeled as fool and paranoic.
@RayPall That's just what they told us for years in Egypt. No one in the entirety of my region (the arab world) could have ever imagined that what happened in egypt and is happening in the rest of the arab world would happen. But lo and behold, it was "internet heroes" who started the spark and historically speaking, in no time, the entire system was flipped on his head. Do not underestimate your brothers, and do not kill their spirits with hopeless talk.
@Achernahr In your country, revolution was fully expectable. I admire your spirit and I congratulate to your success, that's without discussion.
Sadly, in my country (Czech Republic), although politicians are corrupted and billions were already stolen, we can't do jack, because only we and we alone are responsible for this mess, because we voted them to such a places. And same thing is in all countries with parlamentariar democracy all over the world.
@Achernahr And one more silly question - all these visionaries are talking about revolution. So let's imagine revolution took place, old goverment is overdriven. OK, that's great but what now? We have country (or countries) without lead, chaos and violence is erupting everywhere, extremist and radical movements are trying to get the power (because before revolution, they were held and pressed by previous goverment).
Nah, it's wrong. Given the apathetic, slothful, and weak-willed state of the western world, I doubt anything violent or extreme will happen in terms of an uprising. Humans are self-serving. They don't want to get involved in anything that might get them hurt or killed. Governments know that, and that's how they keep the people in line. So, no. No revolution is going to take place (aside from Occupy Wall Street, which is weak and ineffective, in my opinion).
"Religious freedoms panel drawn largely from western religions."
Canada's religious system is going to have a lot more influence in politics. The public voices its disapproval, but nothing changes. People need to learn that you can't reason other people. Words won't work.
@Achernahr but the cause got corrupt and pushed to a bannal side when the atention of so many in the world is headed to SOPA instead of starting a revolution , getting out of the cage of lies that the system try to plant in our minds every day. Just like the Libia scenario were USA gov only helped to after make them their cheap oil supplie, and the people from USA believe that they r saviors and friends of freedom.the sys. that we creatd just got corrupt over time and gt gredy for pwr
Tell me, how do you feel about the fact that your country is now run by the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization of Muslim fundamentalists who are one of the main benefactors of terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al Qaeda?
@RayPall I was once told that and believe still that any man or women can with the power of words manipulate with out money with out guns and violence but with the power of a voice can move people into following them one story one speech one word. If you hear about anarchy you think oh god. When I hear it I think finally. The powerful men should not be put down by equal men like presidents and government officials because of their ideas or beliefs that causes rebellions not subdue them. 99%=weak
But I didn't receive answer to my major question yet - What AFTER the revolution?
Let's imagine world XY, same as our world with all problems, same systems etc. And then, the global revolution would broke out. Goverments are overdriven, politics are arrested. Whole world is celebrating victory, everyone is happy.
But what after people gets sober and are starting to ask what's next? Thrones are empty and who will sit on it?
@mikemck09 you must get support from police and army, otherwise you're at risk that goverment, desperately trying to get things in order, will turn weapons against people. And here's the fatal flaw - who can command army and police? Generals. And if you're general, throne is empty and you've got it within your reach without much concern - wouldn't you take it? And how many people are only using revolution to fulfill their own ambitions and are climbing the backs of regular people to get power?->
@mikemck09 You really think that after revolution, anything will change? The problems of our world are based on people, not on systems. Same as guns - millions of people are shouting: "World without weapons", but without human, weapon is harmless machine. So if you destroy the system and arrest those, who made it or maintained it - how many of people were waiting for this opportunity to take power for their own?
Let me see my prognosis, based on my history education ->
@mikemck09 Chaos would broke out, similar to those in Libya. Lybia is great example - common enemy was killed (with or without interests of NATO, doesn't matter now) and now, we have thousands of people with guns, but without common opinion to further organisation of new state. Blood will be spilled, people gets killed. While generals and persons powerful enough to get enough power will fight each other for power, whole economy would fall apart ->
@mikemck09 Riots would start due to the lack of basic supplies and who will suffer the most? You. Confused, desillused and frustrated, that revolution, which had to make world better, made it only worse. Remember old and true saying- revolutions devours their children.
Call me whoever you want. Call me negativist, call me moron, troll, CIA agent, I don't care. But I say, that if this revolution would ever takes place, you would remember old system with tear in eye, because why? ->
@mikemck09 because this system may be bad, rotten and corrupted. But it keeps world stabile.
I ask you again, internet revolutionarees - Still want to overthrow the world?
If you want to change something - change the system, not destroy it. Get in politics and don't hide behind silly arguments like "It's impossible, votes are corrupted." Find a leader and support him, you have advantage in numbers. Show your will and get voters.
But for God's sake, don't do a revolution. It would be nasty...
You're wrong. Revolution MIGHT VERY WELL take place. The problem is, the results you will not be what you are hoping for. In following with the history of EVERY ideologically statist "revolution" in history, your heroes will become your slave masters.
The only TRUE revolution already happened 235 years ago. And unless we RETURN to its foundational principles--individual liberty, SEPARATION of power--we are doomed.
REJECT STATIST IDEOLOGIES. They only result in TYRANNY.
@Tancred66 they were ''socialists'' in name-only (they presented themselves that way for obvious publicity reasons). In reality they were as concervative as one can get and then some...
You are spewing an ignorant propagandistic lie that has NO BASIS in fact.
Hitler and his Nazi party were CONSERVATIVE???
So Hitler was for SMALL GOVERNMENT? For SEPARATION OF POWER? He was for the classical liberal principle of LEX REX, where a constitution reigns supreme and NO government official is above it?
Hitler was for the FREE MARKET?
If you seriously think Hitler was for ANY of those things, you're a moron.
Hitler was CORPORATIST, which is a form of SOCIALISM.
Stop shouting bro, we all know that left and right are confusing as shit, but no need to get butthurt.
Firstly, corporatism is centrist. Socialism is left-wing. Ta-da. Thus, Fascism is centrist.
Next, Hitler was a Nazi. Nazi ideology is about racial purification, homophobia, basically all that nasty shit the right-wing like. The "National Socialist" party were in fact not socialist, and you fail to mention the "National" part of their name. Hint hint, nationalism is right-wing bs.
Amazing! You win the prize for most falsehoods in one comment.
(1) Fascism (& Nazism) is a NATIONALISTIC strain of SOCIALISM. It pushes TOTAL CONTROL of the economy by the state. That's Socialism.
(2) NATIONALISM is only "right wing" in the EUROPEAN paradigm. There is NOTHING nationalistic about AMERICAN Conservatism.
(3) CORPORATISM is solidly LEFTIST, because again, it involves STATE INTERFERENCE into the free market. Conservatives OPPOSE corporatism. Democrats LOVE it.
We're not talking about American politics here. Please stop discussing "conservatism" and "liberalism" in the American sense. Conservatism is the most childish manifestation of the right-wing in my humble opinion.
Fascism and socialism are both forms of statism, however, they are completely different.
Socialism = everyone owning the means of production and distribution
Fascism = a single party owning all the means of production and distribution
No, we ARE talking about American politics here. In fact, YOU'RE talking about American politics here. What kind of drugs are you on?
You obviously lack the faintest idea of what "Conservatism" means. The word refers to the fact that we want to "CONSERVE" the founding principles, as delineated in the US Constitution. This political position used to be known as "Classical Liberalism" before the term "liberal" was hijacked by the "progressives" after WWII.
We are not discussing American politics. Sorry, but there is a world outside the tight borders of the United States, it has politics and shit too.
Why do names matter so much, Conservatism is still conservatism, regardless of whether you call it "classical liberalism" or "tomato sauce".
Now, to the topic at hand; you fail to address the core topic, which is the definition of "Fascism" and "Socialism". Here, I have refuted your claims that fascism is socialism.
You have not "refuted my claim" that fascism is Socialism.
Instead of simply adopting the PREVAILING MYTH--which originated with Stalinist propaganda--try studying the actual evolution of fascism and the actual historical details of its practice.
At least you admit both are STATIST (leftism). But beyond that, Fascism was SOCIALIST. It advocated PLANNED ECONOMY--state control of privately owned means of production--the definition of Socialism used by Socialists themselves.
@UncleIrv Actually, I think what your thinking of is communism. Socialism dictates that a large part of the economy be made up of nationalised industry but does not object to private business, as long as they pay the right amount of high rate income tax. And also, critically, fascism dictates single party rule, with a complete absence of free speech, where as socialism is a democratic political doctrine that is fully agreed to the idea of multi-party politics and a free-press. Sorry yank.
You're just splitting hairs with contemporary definitions of Socialism in order to disassociate Fascism from its Socialist roots. But history argues against you.
When you trace the actual EVOLUTION of Fascism, its Socialist roots are firmly established in the documentary evidence. In fact, before 1938, Fascism was UNIVERSALLY regarded as Socialistic, and this can easily be confirmed. All contrary myths originate from Stalinist propaganda.
Sweden is not "Socialist." There is a high degree of economic freedom in Sweden.
Being "socially liberal" has almost nothing to do with "Socialism." They are two different things. Socialism is a command economy with government control of all trade and industry.
@UncleIrv You are making a mistake, socialism is not the same as communism which is what you mean. Socialism is social justice in a democratic enviroment, communism is openly anti-democratic.
Thanks for your polite tone. But I am not making a mistake. It is you who are being misled by people who have attempted to change the definition of "Socialism."
Socialism is the "umbrella ideology" under which theoretical Communism falls. It means "state control of the means of production," or in a more general sense, a "planned economy."
The very concept of "Social Justice" is a COLLECTIVIST (and Socialist) concept, which by definition destroys individual rights.
@UncleIrv Well, I certainly agree with you, because in theory the two ideologies are opposed to one another. In Europe however - I'm Belgian - we have social security, which means redividing a part of the income exponentionally, attaching loans automatically to inflation, minimum wage, health care for everyone, even jobless people. However, I'm strongly against the phenomen of parasitism. I think a permanent social back-up should be renenforced with several courses to 'activate' the less
Yes, "equalization of chances" is essential. But I believe the only liberal way to achieve it is by equalization of PROCESS (all equal under the law) rather than redistribution.
In Belgium, you have a more homogenous culture which resists the corruptive influence of excessive social welfare spending. But trust me, that won't last.
I believe all social welfare programs should be paid for and administered at the most LOCAL level possible, to increase accountability.
@UncleIrv Well, I think that equalization by process isn't enough. Being all 'equal under law' doesn't preserve economical or social proportional equality. Limited redistribution which evolves exponentially should be acceptable and it's for the country's good because everyone will be able to use the general governement-issued health care, which they support by paying taxes. Indeed - I agree - it should be organised in way that it is easily controlled, perhaps locally like you suggest.
No offense, but if you spent some time studying economics (the non-Marxist kind) you'd clearly understand why "redistribution" is destructive to EVERYONE and "proportional equality" should not be a concern.
All things are a TRADE OFF. Increasing "proportional equality" unavoidably reduces the standard of living for all. So-called SOCIAL justice unavoidably destroys INDIVIDUAL justice. And removing health care from market forces unavoidably reduces the standard of care.
@UncleIrv fortunate. I think social justice should be achieved by the equalistation of chances. Ideologies in theory are useless, a base of principles on which you range your actions, only limited by those principles to achieve them is my personal idea. I hope I didn't bore you to death with this lengthy comment.
@tzoyia1 democracy has never been a reality anywhere. What some of us, that others call fortunate, have been experiencing, is an illusion and a fallacy. In reality, we are even less fortunate than those who are not experiencing this illusive phenomena because whilst THEY know their predicament, we have been fooled into believing we have none at all: we have been fooled into ignorance and we dont even know it - most of us.
@danbuter yes but its even more amusing, and horrifying, when you realize that despite this decline, they insist on portraying themselves as the instruments of good, pure, right, just, democratic, liberal and they label those who disagree with them as pure evil, and use every aspect of the media to feed these fallacies to their citizens, like continuous drug injections. And then, their citizens regurgitate those same words, and THINK they have stumbled upon these findings by themselves, freely.
@danbuter We are so quick to judge and dismiss those who practice any religion as sheep... what we dont realize is we are still sheeps, albeit in a different temple, to a different god, being earfed by our governments and extensions thereof, instead of the traditional church preachers. It seems, in efforts to free ourselves from the age old bonds, we have landed ourselves in the abyss.
this movie uses images from Baghdad to creat hathred towards American government. Don't misplace images from the past with false accusations. V his charisma and smooth talks are so poweful that people really believe him.. and remember remember that this is a movie directed by people who love profit and turnover...so think twice
"This story begins, as stories often do, with a young upcoming.. Strangers from distant lands, friends of old, you've been summoned here, to answer the threat of Mordor"
@bennett5058 USA goverment uses fear more than any other goverment in the world. patriot act that made them legally able to listen in everything and it was made after 9/11. it is the same with collecting peoples finger prints on the airport. they used peoples fear and told them they would be more safe if they gave up their freedom. "a people who would give up their freedom for a litlle bit of security deserves neither"
it is V. if you watch later in the film, you find out that the guy that V was inpersonating was dead from years before..and you also see the glasses and fake beard and moustash on a Maniquin in V's home
I'm so damn sick of conspiracy theory people demanding that everyone ELSE join their rambling, and that everyone ELSE should solve their problems.
You want to stop the bad guys? It's as easy as some weapons and a true belief in what you are doing. If all the conspiracy people united together and launched coordinated attacks on several corporate, religious and political leaders then the whole illuminati thing would be cleared up in WEEKS.
@DiscoSamurai7 im with you they are idiots but they wouldnt win if they banned together just look at all the ppl who tried similar things and failed, and how many conspiracy theorists are there? and how many soldiers would the nwo have? thats all you need to know to see that they wouldnt only fail they would be wiped from exsistence
Good question, how many soldiers WOULD a secret organization have? I'm assuming none; if the illuminati exists (which I highly doubt), they probably don't have some underground clone army waiting to destroy the world. The bad guys would use the armies of actual countries to try and do their bidding and that would never work; they would be asking citizens to massacre other citizens without question.
Despite popular belief, soldiers aren't all brainless tools.
@DiscoSamurai7 lol thank you for that closing statment i am and know alot of soldiers, but ya probably no clone army, tho why not? why would a secret illuminati government controlling the president follow the rules on genetic engineering or cloneing? but that is beside the point, if somehow things didnt go well for this imaginary secret government u know what i would do? nuke the whole world out of spite, plus they wouldnt be killing the soldiers families that wouldnt make sense
I love that V in this scene (in the bearded man disguise) is essentially dressed as Alan Moore, the author of the V for Vendetta graphic novel. It's like watching Alan telling the cops what's what (and the audience at the same time).
Anyone who can truely draw concerete parallels to V for Vendetta and the world we live in today are clearly paranoid, at least for most western governments.
@billybobboberson All effective art holds up a mirror to real life and shows us truth in a form we can digest. Alan Moore originally intended V for Vendetta to be a commentary on the rise of Thatcher and of the British National Front and other fascist groups in Great Britain.
@williamskidfears pfff ok ya im gonna drive 100 miles for nothing, shut the fuck up ur not tough and if you try to stand up to a government that you think are like nazis ull lose just like the idiots who thought being a martyr would help thier cause it wont, now go watch v for vendetta again and cry about how u can do nothing to stop the new world order u fear so much
@williamskidfears Because George Bush Sr. went to Paris and met with representatives of the Ayatollah Khomeini. He promised the Iranians money and spare parts for their U.S. made planes (confiscated from the Shah) if the Ayatollah would hold on to the hostages until after the election, making Carter look weak, then release them, making Reagan look like a hero. This is not theory, but know fact at this point. It's also high treason, and hopefully will result in prosecution eventually.
@woodrobin You forgot the weapons as well. Bush Sr. sold them weapons and set them and the Iraqis against one another, before Ollie got the idea to sell TOW II missiles to one band of murderers to fund another.
And, everyone wondered why our guys were not welcomed with open arms by the Iraqis during the war eight years ago....
And, yes, it is treason, and no, nothing will come of it.
@hlblue Yup... Sickening isn't it? This film is where we are headed if Perry, Bachmann, Palin, etc, etc, get elected into office in 2012. Count on it...
@williamskidfears Youre a fucking idiot. Go vote for Obama and keep telling yourself stupid things and maybe someday you will actually believe your bullshit. You throw the word neocon around like you know what it means but you just copy and paste words to make people think you're intelligent. EPIC FAIL
Either way, we... As a people, need to wake up! Seriously! Tea Party, Corporations, Big Business, and ignorant sheeple of mass public, that's what killing us! Wake up, and get informed! The NWO is a Christian theocracy, Satanism, is their scapegoat. Wake up! That's where our religious freedom dies, if they take over, we're all screwed...
I wouldn't mind Britain becoming an empire again. I would mine it if this guy was in control.

This piece might be more correct if it spoke of the various labour (labor) or union parties instead of "conservative" parties being tyrannts.
After all, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Peron, Mussolini, Castro, Che Guevara, et al. were all labor party members, not conservative.

Norsefire was the name of the party, they are still a conservative party. Norsefire also relates to the real party called Nation Front who was pretty big in the 80s, though the writers have not confirmed this. The similarities and the time of the comics creation, it seems too right for Norsefire to be based of NF.

RayPall 3 months ago

So, no. No revolution is going to take place (aside from Occupy Wall Street, which is weak and ineffective, in my opinion).

mikemck09 2 months ago
@mikemck09 That's an argument!
If you want to make a revolution,->
RayPall 2 months ago
@mikemck09 you must get support from police and army, otherwise you're at risk that goverment, desperately trying to get things in order, will turn weapons against people. And here's the fatal flaw - who can command army and police? Generals. And if you're general, throne is empty and you've got it within your reach without much concern - wouldn't you take it? And how many people are only using revolution to fulfill their own ambitions and are climbing the backs of regular people to get power?->
RayPall 2 months ago
@mikemck09 You really think that after revolution, anything will change? The problems of our world are based on people, not on systems. Same as guns - millions of people are shouting: "World without weapons", but without human, weapon is harmless machine. So if you destroy the system and arrest those, who made it or maintained it - how many of people were waiting for this opportunity to take power for their own?
Let me see my prognosis, based on my history education ->
RayPall 2 months ago
@mikemck09 Chaos would broke out, similar to those in Libya. Lybia is great example - common enemy was killed (with or without interests of NATO, doesn't matter now) and now, we have thousands of people with guns, but without common opinion to further organisation of new state. Blood will be spilled, people gets killed. While generals and persons powerful enough to get enough power will fight each other for power, whole economy would fall apart ->
RayPall 2 months ago
@mikemck09 Riots would start due to the lack of basic supplies and who will suffer the most? You. Confused, desillused and frustrated, that revolution, which had to make world better, made it only worse. Remember old and true saying- revolutions devours their children.
Call me whoever you want. Call me negativist, call me moron, troll, CIA agent, I don't care. But I say, that if this revolution would ever takes place, you would remember old system with tear in eye, because why? ->
RayPall 2 months ago
@mikemck09 because this system may be bad, rotten and corrupted. But it keeps world stabile.
I ask you again, internet revolutionarees - Still want to overthrow the world?
If you want to change something - change the system, not destroy it. Get in politics and don't hide behind silly arguments like "It's impossible, votes are corrupted." Find a leader and support him, you have advantage in numbers. Show your will and get voters.
But for God's sake, don't do a revolution. It would be nasty...
RayPall 2 months ago
@RayPall

UncleIrv 3 months ago
@UncleIrv
CanadianPolybius 2 months ago
@CanadianPolybius
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv
CanadianPolybius 2 months ago
@CanadianPolybius
Study Edmund Burke.
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv
CanadianPolybius 2 months ago
@CanadianPolybius
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Actually, I think what your thinking of is communism. Socialism dictates that a large part of the economy be made up of nationalised industry but does not object to private business, as long as they pay the right amount of high rate income tax. And also, critically, fascism dictates single party rule, with a complete absence of free speech, where as socialism is a democratic political doctrine that is fully agreed to the idea of multi-party politics and a free-press. Sorry yank.
cassybaby234 2 months ago
@cassybaby234
Sorry, but that's crap.
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Whatever yank. Think that if you want. Then you can feel like your points of view matter.

@UncleIrv No Sweden have been a Social country for several years, and we have freedom of speech, of press, of religion, several parties and so on.
warmsteel 2 months ago
@warmsteel
Sweden? Totally different subject.
Sweden is not "Socialist." There is a high degree of economic freedom in Sweden.
Being "socially liberal" has almost nothing to do with "Socialism." They are two different things. Socialism is a command economy with government control of all trade and industry.
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv You are making a mistake, socialism is not the same as communism which is what you mean. Socialism is social justice in a democratic enviroment, communism is openly anti-democratic.
thaillidan 2 months ago
@thaillidan
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Well, I certainly agree with you, because in theory the two ideologies are opposed to one another. In Europe however - I'm Belgian - we have social security, which means redividing a part of the income exponentionally, attaching loans automatically to inflation, minimum wage, health care for everyone, even jobless people. However, I'm strongly against the phenomen of parasitism. I think a permanent social back-up should be renenforced with several courses to 'activate' the less
thaillidan 2 months ago
@thaillidan
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv Well, I think that equalization by process isn't enough. Being all 'equal under law' doesn't preserve economical or social proportional equality. Limited redistribution which evolves exponentially should be acceptable and it's for the country's good because everyone will be able to use the general governement-issued health care, which they support by paying taxes. Indeed - I agree - it should be organised in way that it is easily controlled, perhaps locally like you suggest.
thaillidan 2 months ago
@thaillidan
UncleIrv 2 months ago
@UncleIrv fortunate. I think social justice should be achieved by the equalistation of chances. Ideologies in theory are useless, a base of principles on which you range your actions, only limited by those principles to achieve them is my personal idea. I hope I didn't bore you to death with this lengthy comment.

Just my opinion, guys.

billybobboberson 5 months ago
@billybobboberson
DiscoSamurai7 5 months ago
@DiscoSamurai7 lol thank you for that closing statment i am and know alot of soldiers, but ya probably no clone army, tho why not? why would a secret illuminati government controlling the president follow the rules on genetic engineering or cloneing? but that is beside the point, if somehow things didnt go well for this imaginary secret government u know what i would do? nuke the whole world out of spite, plus they wouldnt be killing the soldiers families that wouldnt make sense

@williamskidfears pfff ok ya im gonna drive 100 miles for nothing, shut the fuck up ur not tough and if you try to stand up to a government that you think are like nazis ull lose just like the idiots who thought being a martyr would help thier cause it wont, now go watch v for vendetta again and cry about how u can do nothing to stop the new world order u fear so much
billybobboberson 5 months ago

The traitors RUN the government, after all.

Sounds surprisingly similar to 9/11 which our government used to instill fear, begin a 10+ year war, and spend without mercy.

@hlblue Yup... Sickening isn't it? This film is where we are headed if Perry, Bachmann, Palin, etc, etc, get elected into office in 2012. Count on it...

@cwood4ever No, we are. Who is allowing the neocons and the psuedolibs to remain in power, after all?
williamskidfears 5 months ago
@williamskidfears Youre a fucking idiot. Go vote for Obama and keep telling yourself stupid things and maybe someday you will actually believe your bullshit. You throw the word neocon around like you know what it means but you just copy and paste words to make people think you're intelligent. EPIC FAIL
