Mr Hannahs comments make me feel sick that I and all the other gullible 60 year olds have allowed our children and grandchildren to be burdened by our debt for god knows how long! Tell me Dan, who should we have voted for 40 years ago. Which ones were telling the truth then? Who is telling the truth now?
These Europeans (I don't include us British) want to live in some socialist dreamland with one flag and one anthem. They live in a bubble, and pretend the public opinions do not exist. They are student communists who never grew up and joined the real world, probably because they never had real jobs. Their whole lives have been in socialism and trying to subvert democracy. Europeans need to stop pushing Britain away and start voting out their socialist leaders!

Trouble is, in real terms the debt is probably nearer 4 or 5 trillion.
But could somebody explain how on earth this debt got to such a level in the first place. There must have been signs five years ago that this was on the cards. Surely, one cannot just simply blunder into this amount of debt in a month, can one?
@Sliepnir2006 Its not a 1 month job. The truth is Eurocrats knew about this, and they are imposing that debt on us on purpose - so we will all work our asses off on them. Its a modern way of slavery, by giving people big debt from the day they were born. You have the debt so you have to do what they say. That's something too few people understand. As with most loans, it is not actually taken from a deposit somewhere. The money itself is created from thin air; when the debt agreement is made.
Sometimes I think Dan's eloquence works against him. I can just see him finishing one of his polished speeches, and the conversation across the chamber being something like this: "What did he say?" "Something in Latin wasn't it?" "Was that Shakespeare?" "What's 'art thou' mean?" "Guy, who was that little boy coming out of your room?" "So does Hannan agree with us, or ...?" "Is 'whence' a real word?" "Beats me, translator's on a break." "Did we find those lost billions?" "Heheh" "Oh, you...."
