@FitnessForOldFarts yeah well the old dude we got hunts horses, kills and skins them bare handed. horses for the lean meat.. less fat more protein that way.
The entire midsection (both preventing and causing lumbar flexion, rotation... pretty much everything), lats and grip. Not to mention that it's one hell of a conditioner.
Doing a solid minute of swinging with a 10-12lb hammer is hard enough. Doing that with a 40lb must be brutal.

I know some big old dude who used to swing the 40Ibs sledge in one hand.. his forearms were the size of my legs almost.

@TheTechController We got an older fellow in my town that's the same way. Rips phone books and all that.

Hey Grunt. Try swinging into soft ground rather than getting a tire bounce back to waist level and you'll be down to a 16 pounder toot sweet!

Great, especially with rhythm! I counted exactly 26 seconds both ways so timing was perfect.

18 kgs is not easy, even with a 10kg sledge hammer repeating it non stop
is tiring after a minute
baozytools 1 year ago
That my friend is a big hammer. I could only find a 15lb one in the hardware store. Dam it back to the shop I go
