"I'll tell you what concerns me, I wanna know why was i drown completely without hair. That is an exaggeration which i do not appreciate"- LMAO I love frank!!!
Honestly, anyone who has watched this sitcom knows Marie is the sole reason there is hostility among THE ENITRE FAMILY. Ray is a slob and Debra doesn't like it, that's different, it's just between husband and wife. But when it comes to Robert, Amy, Frank, Ray AND Debra, Marie is 95% of the time, the source of problems for everyone. She just wants to control everyone and everything, and have everyone satisfy her wishes.
@Comedylova78 i noticed. like all FAT BITCHES there all to fat to get up from the table and the only time they do get up is to go to the frig to get an other ham.
Frank absolutely hit the nail right on the head. Also to add to it, Raymond's spinelessness toward his mother definitely added fuel to the fire. He has never stood up for Debra, and Debra always had to fend for herself in front of Marie. That is the only reason that Marie feels she can walk all over Debra, and shes the type of person that would keep on doing it.
@holdemehha you're right. He never stands up for Debra. He's not just spineless toward his mother though. Remember he couldn't stand up to the Tee Ball coach and went behind Debra's back to bring snacks to the game?? How about the time that sports commentator said he didn't like him?? Robert had to step in and stand up for him. Funny because I think the show is loosely based on his real life. So he's probably somewhat spineless in real life. The others are just acting.
This was to be one of the best clips in US sitcom com history. The acting is just superb. Debra's acting in front of the teacher was excellent ('u r in no position to judge me!'). Roberts speech was so well written (I like his use of the English Language) and is body language, well, thats something else. Very funny. Frank's reaction to Adam's initial utterances spoke volumes. Simply an amazing sitcom, way better (in my view) than Frasier and even Seinfield!
@A7YJJ Well, let's not get too ahead of ourselves comparing Everybody Loves Raymond to Seinfeld. Those two sitcoms don't even belong in the same sentence. ELR is a family sitcom. Seinfeld is a show about ... NOTHING!!! :)

"There! Right there! SHE married HIM! And THIS one STILL can't deal with it!" Frank pretty much hit it on the head right there

i think the show is loosely based on his life and a couple of the producers.

This show was always very funny, but ever since I had kids of my own, it's...less funny, more true, more of a kick in the gut. Great show.

@therightgame3 The real name of Debra is Patricia Heaton and she won two Emmy Awards. She's brilliant!

ELR is the best. I never quite understood Seinfeld. Frasier was good.
