Repetitive chords in modern music is also very redundant and boring (an example would be the guitar). They should be well articulated and have better transition.

Cause what your saying is that modern music has no melody, rhythm, dynamic, and what not as you put it. And it does. Any song that exists has rhythm, they're called drums. There is most times a melody depending on the genre and there is always a dynamic. and music even today is complex if you stop and really look at a song and break it down you'd realize that.
