Tom Brumley was a hell of a great musician, not just a great pedal steel player. What a great ear, what a great sense of harmony, melody, timing, phrasing, etc.....all the subtle things that the truly great musicians have, no matter what their instrument. I've loved his playing ever since I first heard Buck Owens way back in the '60s.

probably the only steel player to make pedal steel work with Buck Owens music, he had the style and sound that just fit perfectly.

Tom was just a super player, gentlemen, I'm glad I was able to meet him and shake his hand in 1968... May he RIP!! Thanks T for sharing this!!
