@DeusMalleus There's really no other way to fit that many connections in a small package. But yes it sucks if it breaks. There are some ways you can reflow a chip. I fixed a Macbook Pro 2 weeks ago by reflowing the GPU with a paintstripper and some flux. There's obviously risc involved, components shifting, thermal stress on components and board. But if it doesn't work anyway, you have little to lose of course.
I do this by hand everyday.. using a martin rework station or a SA15 and screen print machine. this is a nice machine for placing solder balls for the parts first drop..but once the part needs to be stripped, i would think it would take to long doing 1 part at a time.. we do 4, 12, 20 face up at a time.
200.000 Euros, Jesu Christ! I love the machine, but I hate the price, do you have something smaller, but that does the same, at 500 Dollars, it would sell like hot cakes! This is a very amazing precise machine, what kind of companies use this kind of tool?
But BGAs with more than 1.000 ball cost lot more than 60,- EUR. Otherwise just buy a new one. Price for other reballing methods are lot more expensive (don't forget you labour costs! Except you work free of charge)
BGA : Making sure that when the machine breaks, the consumer can't fix it.

No Thermal stress? Extreme heat was used to remove and install the chip to the board! So what good does that thing do?

yeah.. :oD .. but the machine costs thousands of dollars..
Much BGA's have 1.000 balls or more which would result in 60,- € per BGA..
