  • As a piece of advice to people looking for a Holga...

Do not buy Lomo! Unless you want a really nice box thats worth more than the camera.

(plus, i just have an inbuilt hatred of Lomography, the 10 rules and their over charging for what are essentially toy cameras)

I bought mine from an American website, for about $20 with an additional $10 P&P. To the UK.

You can view my holga images on my flickr.com/ rorymacmillan

  • @rorrt Yeah, I don't buy the Lomo stuff. I have three Holgas (one I converted to a pinhole at a workshop). I bought them at a local photo supply store. I know a lot of people have issues with Lomo and I understand why. I also don't understand why people always equate Holga with Lomo when they're from different manufacturers. Anyway, yeah, very good advice which I've always followed myself.

  • Great video, just ordered a holga 135bc without flash for 20 pounds, but was wondering which iso I should use? I will probably only use it outsidenand in the daytime indoors. I was thinking of the 200iso as I can get them cheap?

  • Woah! you're really good!! Be my mentor!

  • How do you do multiple exposure with the holga?

  • @vickzter Just don't advance the film and click the shutter again. To do the long, holgaramas (as I call them) you need to advance the film partway, click the shutter again, then all the way the next frame and click the shutter a third time. Best thing you can do is experiment :)

  • @aikitherese hi, after taking the first shot and then dont advance the film it doesn't make the normal 'click' sound. is it still taking the second shot?

  • @hughyd1 Hmmmm....mine will always makes a click sound. I can't say why yours isn't making the noise, or if it's exposing the film a second time. I suppose you'll find out when you process the film.

  • @aikitherese okay, thank you anyway!

  • How did you get your photos on to the computer so fast if you took it the day before?

  • @dsblu10 I process my black and white film at home and then scan it. I have a lab that will process color within a few hours.

  • Who's that handsome guy who'd left a comment at 4:58? ;)

  • @pdogwatcher Mm hmmm...that's YOU :)

  • That was very interesting,, thanks for explaining,, :)

  • @NaturesFairy Oh, my pleasure! Thanks for watching (I can go on and on sometimes :) ).

  • Fantastic video aikitherese I loved watching this.

  • @MrDeCorey Thanks so much :) I like to talk about my cameras and how I use them!
