I am not defending eating meat. I am defending that animals should be given a chance to exist! From economical and real world perspective their only chance to exist seems to be if they get tortured and eaten in the end, or get somehow humiliated (like animals in the zoo, most pets)

I love animals with all my heart. what i don't like is animals being literally drained of their right to live humanely without being killed or used for human services that are not necessary. of course i acknowledge that they are not only exploited in other ways than meat. i was only referring 2 the diet view of it.

I have seen the video you are talking about and many others like it. Honestly I don't think that those chickens are hurting that much, because their nervous system is not the same as humans at all. On the other hand all the mammals, like cows and pigs are taking it hard, but that's the price for living. If they lived in their natural habitat and they got eaten by a lion I think it would have hurt them even more. So it may not be as bad for them as it looks.
